Close to where I was working and close to food.
Not able to leave a day early without paying for the extra night....
Everything was nice enough, but looks like it has seen better days. Looks like they have some interesting long term residents as well.
Couldn't use AAA discount. Breakfast still had an hour until finished and there was not much left.
My husband and I spend one night in Sandwich Lodge and Resort. The room was spacious and clean. We immediately felt at home. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special. Would certainly recommend staying here!
Location, refrigerator, microwave, comfortable beds, good lighting, clean and well-functioning bathroom, parking next to room, restaurant menus, very good wi-fi service
Very few TV channels
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location. Breakfast was good as well.
Only one washer and dryer.
Very nice place. Wonderful helpful employees. Beautiful area with interesting sites.
I thought the coffee was too strong!! That was all I could honestly find wrong. Just added water to solve that big problem! Great stay.
Underneath the somewhat new carpeting, bathroom tiles, etc. there is a sense of decay. There was mold on the ceiling above the shower and a two foot crack in the bathroom door jam. Breakfast was bare minimum (bad coffee, sugary cereal and sweet rolls - the bagels were okay).
The speed of the folks at check in and out. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room
It's decor reminded me of a days inn in yhe 50's
When we arrived the front desk was very friendly. The from was good size. Continental breakfast was toaster items, apples, bananas and Danish. The only issue was the walls are thin enough to hear the neighbors alarm clock at 530am. Otherwise clean, friendly, and cost effective.
Limited choice breakfast No elevators
We ordered a room with king size bed and when we arrived were told that they only had rooms with 2 queens left. If they couldn't deliver on there part of the deal, the hotel should have let us know in advance. we would have cancelled and booked elsewhere- there are a ton of places to stay on the cape. Also, WiFi was unreliable at times.
Great location, clean comfortable rooms, didn't use facilities so can not comment on them. Our first day we had excellent staff, second day was so/so.
the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were all beat up and out of place all had water stains i would expect a better ceiling at the price that are charging for the room everything else was very nice except the bathroom
Staff, continental breakfast, pools, size of rooms, location. Price.
Room on other side of ice making machine, we heard it throughout the night - it interrupted our sleep.
Room was a good size. Room has fridge, microwave and cabinets to store food if you are having a long stay. There is a nice picnic area and a little shopping plaza across the street.
The walls are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the rooms around you. The continental breakfast was lacking, they need more hot drink options for non coffee drinkers.
The room was spacious and to secure the parking space right outside my door made loading in and out a breeze. The staff was super polite and friendly.
I must remember to bring incense because that moldy smell is off putting. Not just once but twice there were random long hairs entwined in my towels. Gross.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Great location! Reasonable price for what you got.
Bed comfortable, cleanlyness.
A little hard to find, but once familiar with area no problem.
location Spacious room Coffee 24/7
Sounded like someone moving furniture upstairs. When entering room, we could detect an odor of cat urine in room. I understand that this is the in-season rates but for that kind of money one doesn't expect cat odor.
Facility was not well maintained. Furniture in room had dirty, stained upholstery. Pool and hot tub looked so dirty, I would not go near the water.
Location was great Room was spacious and clean
Charged $10 for early check-in when we were told the room was ready anyway. Continental breakfast was limited and very cramped. Noisy people partying in the pool area after close, not the facilities fault at all.
The room was big and the bedroom was clean. Laundry facilities good.
Air con noisy. Walls to thin, disturbed by snoring in next room. Bathroom not very clean. Wifi flaky. The hotel facilities looked tired and in need of a repaint and update. Breakfast- stale cereal and a limited supply of bagels
For anyone on a budget this place is awesome. We had a wonderful time, the room was spacious and we were able to bring out small dog Minka with us which worked out great. The staff are wonderful people and were incredibly helpful and kind. For anyone who read other reviews concerning the pool water, the outdoor pool water was WONDERFUL, I think what people might no realize is that an outdoor pool is rained on it will get cloudy and there is nothing you can do for that but that does not mean it is dirty. When we were there the pool water was very clean and the indoor hot tub was great. Staying at the Sandwich Lodge and Resort made us decide we will return every year to this hotel and this area, we have a new vacation destination now! However please know, this is not a 'luxury' hotel. If you are looking for luxury look elsewhere BUT, for those of us who want a great place to stay and don't want to spend $1000 a week for lodging this is the best you are going to find. We loved our big room, the pool, the grounds, and the staff, again, was wonderful! Thank you!!
Not much, I think the only thing I could say was that the lounge chair in our room had stains and there was a smell of cleaning products but I didn't mind as I like to know things are clean. There were NO bugs in our room as stated in previous reviews and you can tell the owners are upgrading the rooms in stages, there is new carpet now, at least in the room we stayed in as I had noticed that reviews from last year stated carpets were bad. The TV was nice and big, not that we watched it much, there are great mini refrigerators, beds are really comfortable, I can't say there was much we didn't like. I think the only bad thing was the restaurant next door, the BBC, we had an awful experience there and will not be eating there again. In that, however, we are probably in the minority, it just happened we got a really terrible waitress, but that does tend to make or break a restaurant. The only reason I mention it is that you get 10% off for eating there when you stay at the the hotel. Also, if you are going to go to the ice creme stand on the other side of the hotel make sure you count your change before leaving, they have a tendency to return less than you should get. You get 10% off at the ice creme/hotdog stand also.
First, let me say, I have never had a bad experience with booking.com. We made our reservations through booking.com for early check-in, a pet friendly suite with separate bedroom/living room. I followed up with an email two weeks in advance. When we arrived there was no record of early check-in. We moved in and 36 hours later they told us we were not in a pet friendly room and we had to move. They even accused us of lying about our dog! Their pet friendly room was a small double and they would not refund the difference between suite rate and double rate. They blamed booking.com and told us we had to get the money from the booking website. Don't stay here, there are many nice, clean, convenient places on the Cape. This is very poor customer relations.
