The only thing missing was an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Also, the ceiling light over the sink did not go on with the other ceiling light. It would have been nice to have an overhead light to shave or apply make-up.
We appreciated that the management does not allow loud partying in the rooms or parking lot which disturbs other guests. When signing in you are required to read and initial the rules. No pets and complete non-smoking motel and grounds were also a plus. A fair price for a good nights sleep. The staff was friendly, as well.
Unfortunately, I didn't sleep well because my back hurt; the bed was too hard.
Staff was friendly. The linens are clean and the shower water is hot!
There were bugs that looked like possibly bed bugs all over the cloth shower curtain, all in the sink, I didn't even think to lift the bed back and check. There was dirt all over the chair. The door knob was broken to the bathroom. I ended up sleeping in my car and just using the fridge for my food overnight. Do not waste your money here.
Couldn't say considering I stayed in the room for 20 minutes
The furniture in the room was trashed - really disgusting. Upholstery on chairs was filthy. Finish on cabinet ruined, and other wooden furniture all banged up and dirty. My shoes stuck to the floor. The place really needs a thorough cleaning. No hairdryer. I thought this was a very poor value for the money - paid $95+tax.
Easy access from the highway. If you stay in a King room at the rear, there's no highway noise. (Queen rooms are all at the front and I'm guessing they're quite noisy)
Not very bad complaint but I asked for a quiet room and they gave us the nosiest one ie one facing Highway 101. When I asked if they had something more quiet they were willing to let us switch, but they should have offered it to us when I asked at check-in.
Clean and well furnished.
I stayed at this hotel many days, but one day my sheet was clean in the morning, but when I came back in the evening, the bathroom water was running in full force and my sheet had big sticky spots.
There were some Hispanic male staffs and they were so rude that I felt unsafe. The female staffs were all nice.
I like everything
Kind of dumpy.
Convenient to Santa Barbara without the Santa Barbara price tag.
the parking are to small its hard to park
close to my job
The shower could not run warm only very cold.
Parking lot area dirty Hotel rooms facing the 101 hightway was very loud. Should have installed triple pane rather then double pane windows in thye rooms facing the 101 haighway. Needed to upgrade television from CRT 19 inch to a flat screen 40+ screen. No microwave or coffee in the room. Coffee in the lobby was not offered until 7:00 am.
Room was very comfortable. Nice to have a refrig in the room to store food. Nice pool and spa.
Entrance a bit tricky to find.
Best deal in town. Good room, good location. Good town to relax in and enjoy the scenery.
Parking is a scramble Musical Chairs affair but the staff is cool and the move cars to find you a place. Book early because its a good value and fills up fast
Clean, comfortable at a reasonable price for the area. Santa Barbara real estate community is insane so this is quite reasonable
I like the staff.very helpful
Freeway is a little close... And the rooms don't have microwave ovens in them.
Living in motels on & off for the last 4 yrs. I consider myself almost expert at what the average person wants durring their hotel stay.Good staff & a clean room is important. Also feeling safe is a major requirement since I am a woman with children. And lastly, Cost & option to pay cash with only a small deposit.
nice room, friendly staff.
Check in was friendly. Room was comfortable.
Location near down town Carpinteria and Santa Barbara.
If it's all you can afford, I get that. But the staff was rude and invasive; the whole thing felt dirty; and you will not get a good night sleep on those beds. They also charge for you to have visitors for any period of time, and they will stalk you with the security camera to make sure you're the only ones entering that room.
Our room was facing the street so it was quite loud
Very friendly staff Nice and very clean room fridge
No smoking rooms
It's comvionent location
No outlets on / behind nightstand, though there was a power strip on the dresser for charging devices.
Room and bed were clean, mattress was a bit weak, but still comfortable enough, freeway nose was present I. Our room (above office), but moving to a further back room was offered at a reasonable rate change ($5), but we're used to it so we declined and had no issues. Didn't try the wifi so can't comment.
Some highway noise, even at the back of the property, also quite a bit of noise--clomping footsteps and some loud music--from surrounding rooms. The room was equipped with a small fridge, but no microwave to heat food or water, and no breakfast served. And there were a number of cigarette butts around the hot tub--in supposedly "smoke-free" Carpenteria.
The motel was easy to locate, right off Highway 101, and near beautiful sights, lovely shops, and good restaurants. The desk staff was helpful and efficient, the room clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. We couldn't beat the low rates on a Friday night. We were originally placed in a queen room in the front of the motel with a lot of highway noise. We asked to be switched to a quieter room, and fortunately, for only $2 more, were able to "upgrade" to a king room at the back of the property, which was much quieter. The premises were well-cared for and charming; the hot tub superb on a chilly morning. The room was equipped with a good working refrigerator. We didn't use the large flatscreen TV or WiFi, so can't comment on those. Generally, this was a GREAT value and served us well--a relaxing, good night's sleep on our drive from SoCal to the Bay Area.
For an overnight stay, next to the highway, it's good.
