The rooms were clean For us it was expensive, we only stayed in Carpinteria to break up a long journey, but it is quite expensive because it is so close to Santa Barbara and LA. Furthermore the water was turned off at 10 pm due to renovatiations, but we were not told so in advance so that was quite inconvenient.

Clean room with decent beds, spa was nice and front desk agreed to leave it opened for us a little longer, we checked in late in the evening. Free parking and wifi. It could use a good refit and update.

The price was great.Very helpful staff.Back rooms were nicer than the front ones. The front rooms were a bit to loud with freeway(101). The coffee didn't look very fresh. Had to go up the street to get fresh coffee.

Not much. It was close to the freeway, but that's it. Stains on my pillow. Patched holes in the ceiling, knob missing from the bedside lamp made it unusable. No counter space around bathroom sink, cracks in the bathroom ceiling, nails coming out from the bathroom ceiling, no where to put soap, shampoo in the shower, air conditioner did not work, no ice machine and its always under construction.

The Cost. It looks like they are making efforts to do things to make place more appealing. We weren't staying long so didn't need extra emenities. Beds were hard. Towels were like cardboard. Wish there was a way to have a little breakfast.

the only thing that i liked was the location. Door locks were broken, and the shower was not working properly. The room had an unpleasant odor to it.

Jacuzzi was relaxing and set at a good temperature. Washer & Dryer on premises. Motel difficult to locate. The property is under construction so there was a lot of dirt and noise. Furnishings old and needed updating.

Great price. Clean and friendly service. Not in a dangerous area. I think the other reviewers might be a bit sheltered to claim there is any danger here. Found gum on my curtains, a little unclean.

clean rooms that staff did not inform us that the water would be shut off for an extended period of time. very, very inconvenient.

quaintness, budget friendly (great price for being next to Santa Barbara and beach area where you will pay double or triple this cost) neat, clean and comfy traffic noise

Room was completely renovated. New tile and fixtures in bath. Fresh paint and very clean. Mini Fridge, microwave was nice. Bed was comfortable. Once I was settled, I was very comfortable, but had concerns about noise and safety from other guests at first. No coffee maker; TV had terrible sound and fuzzy picture but looked new. No clock. Few extras: minimal soap, shampoo. Towels and sheets were old and worn; threadbare. Door had no privacy lock or chain. A lot of single men hanging around the first night.

The location is a bit off but within walking distance to the centre and beach. Carpinteria is quite nice, relaxing and a walk on the beach takes your mind away. The Motel was ok, nothing special, everything worked. The room could have been a bit cleaner. Bed sheets had some stains and were a bit itchy. There was a sticker from former guest on the mirror which was left unnoticed. The door does not make a safe impression.
