It was clean, quiet and safe. Our room was in the back corner away from the busy street, which made all the difference because we were not disturbed by noise and slept well. Even had a small fridge in the room. Free parking and walking distance to beach.
Very cramped parking but hey, it was free. No water glasses in the room.
The bar Trip in front of The motel. Very rock and roll bar with severa kind of beers and Live concerts.
The room was spotless clean and comfortable. The position even if it doesn't seem nice cause it's on a busy main road, is actually perfect to go to the beach or downtown Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and downtown L.A. are just a few miles away.
A mile walk to Pier, not bad. After dark I had issues with all the homeless hanging around. Two approached me screaming. Left early, cut trip short. Motel is kept up nice and staff super friendly.
Room had no air condition but staff excellent and friendly. Gave me a fan. Rooms very clean. Location not great at night.
Love the parking the location. The staff all good x
We stayed twice our first stay was the room with a window on to the main rd ....We had to keep the curtains close as there were no blinds or nets and people could see straight in ....not good ...
Location is fair, though keep in mind that is will take 15-20 to walk to Santa Monica Pier. Very clean and nice and fresh room - we were in the back of the location which was away from the Road. Nice staff.
There is NO AC !!! We had temperatues of 90-100 degrees and the room was extremely warm!! We paid 400 for 2 nights and for that price you should have AC. Tv does not have the best reception and many channels does not work.
The room was suprisingly clean and pleasant, given the dreary exterior. The bathrooms had clearly been re-vamped lately and the decor was not bad. Wifi worked OK.
"Cheap" is a relative concept in the context of LA, perhaps, but ~$200 per night didn't seem very cheap to us for this location and quality of the place. If you thoroughly check around Santa Monica and find that this is truly a good deal relative to other places, you may want to stay here. However, if you're not right at the back, know that you will get a ton of street noise as it is on a very busy street (trucks, garbage pick-up, live music, buses etc). The motel may be in Santa Monica, but it doesn't have any kind of charming, beachy feel to the neighborhood until you get quite a ways away. Not having AC is a strange oversight in LA. Room was stifling until we aired it out.
Staff was really helpful in indications and suggestion about the neighborhood. Location is really close to santa monica and venice, although a car is needed to get to the 3rd st promenade.
Slow and sometimes absent wifi connection, stronglybdepends on the room location within the motel.
It was close to the centre of town
The room had an odd smell, the staff weren't very helpful and check in was behind a glass screen. I felt like I was booking this hotel by the hour
close to the highway
Noisy Seems to be a not really safe area, specially when reception is protected by bulletproof glass.
location to ocean.
No headboards. No bedside locker/ stand.
Close to Santa Monica beach, cheap!
Great value for money. Staff were helpful. Don't think the photos really do it justice.
Beds were not made. And clean sheets were not provided after several requests. After 6 days it would be nice to have clean sheets!! Also had to request for vacuum cleaning! I think these are basics in a hotel/motel.
Worst motel I've ever stayed in. Terrible bed, pillows, no air conditioning.
Worst motel I've ever stayed in. Terrible bed, pillows, no air conditioning.
We stayed there our first two nights in CA and returned to stay our final night. The rooms had recently been renovated, were very clean, quiet, and at an affordable price. It's a no frills kind of establishment but we found it just right for our needs.
relatively good location (close to the city center) good price
too close to the busy street no ac in the room
The staffs are very courteous n helpful
No airconditioner, pillows are too thin and bath room is small
The location, walking distance to waterfront of Santa Monica and bus stop
No coffee, tea, spare roll of toilet paper, nothing, we ask for some boiling water for our thermals flask, we had to go to a hotel across the road.
A microwave and a fridge are missing in the room
Very friendly and helper staff.
Location was ok
Not much good n here except its located close to the beach and Santa Monica pier.
There were a lot of things not to like. An exterior reception window. Only one duplex wall outlet for the room.! The WiFi was very slow and an awkward old system. The furniture was broken down. Dumpsters in plain view. Towels only hand size. All around bad. Avoid this place.
Staff was wonderful, very clean and new looking
Clean, pleasant experience.
Not the best value in terms of location although it was walking distance. Air con didn't work, certainly could use some better facilities eg mini fridge kettle etc. the area wasn't the best for what was available.
