Loved being downtown and not having to take the car out!
Right in the heart of downtown Saratoga. Walking distance to Caroline St, shops, dining and the track.
parking was a bit of a pain. small lot, few spots, so we had to watch for people to leave so we could move our car from metered street parking to the lot. Small room, but it didn't matter, we were there because of the location. would be nice if there were an iron, hair dryer and coffee pot in the room so you can have a cup of coffee before going down to the lobby for coffee and bagel. And a microwave for people like us who always leave the restaurant with a doggy bag.
location is perfect reception by staff and owner was great
continental breakfast could be improved if possible, a space with tables would be welcomed
It was over priced for a run down property. The sheets and blankets stunk. Needs to be renovated.
The room was very clean. The location is the best in town. The staff was very congenial and genuinely helpful. We will return there on our next trip.
Great location and excellent free breakfast....clean room with a great bead and pillows.
not enough parking and had to park in a general lot a block away and I would have been happier on the first floor
Location and valur
Location. Friendly people.
Small size. No elevator.
Great location and clean....
We enjoyed the hotel, the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. The outside garden was beautiful and the continental breakfast was great. We didnt have to rush in the morning.
My husband has vascular decease and it would have been a lot better for him if there was an elevator. Also there was not sufficient parking and we had to park and walk back to the hotel.
the location right in middle of downtown convenient parking relatively quiet gorgeous flowers
continental breakfast was weak coffee tasted like it was brewed a while ago and reheated but not hot. for the price a better quality of coffee wouldn't be too much to ask. water cooler was empty. barely any toiletries in bathroom. could use an upgrade in bathroom fixtures. staff was pleasant but clueless about how to split a bill at checkout making it a time consuming affair.
I always stay here. You can't beat the location and the price. Used to stay at 4star before I had given this downtowner a chance. Now it's clearly better easier and much friendlier
The teeny tiny soap that wouldn't wash a baby. The tolietries are far not appropriate size for any such hotel/motel
only one night stand by bed- carpeting ripped - walls are paper thin-needs to be updated- decades old with regular key
Indoor pool, amazing location right on the main street near all the restaurants, very clean room, basic continental breakfast. We enjoyed our stay very much!
Being right in the center of town was lovely. The downtown area was very pretty, lots of flowers and very clean.
The pool area was nicely decorated but it was rather hot and humid but that is hard to avoid, I guess.
The room was very clean.the location of this hotel in the middle of the action with the parking included was fantastic!
The pool could have been cleaner.
Location in Saratoga Springs is ideal - right in the middle of the village. The price (at an off-peak time) was very attractive. The pool was nice and it did not have too much chlorine in it so the room didn't smell of it. The room we had was in the back (along an alley) and it was very quiet; I don't know about the rooms that face the street. The room was very basic but had a nice 'fridge. Parking was limited but available on site or at an adjacent free public garage
This property needs updating - it is a classic 60's (think Howard Johnson's era). I did overhear a staff member speaking of plans to renovate. The advert in the bathroom for "POO POURRI" (Heavy Doody 4oz Bathroom Toilet Spray "Before You Go") - $14.95 Shop: if_i_had_a_million_dollars_i_would_buy_you_a (eBay) was quaint but lent a "air" of obsolete to the experience. Are they trying to tell me something?
Great location walking distance to all of downtown great place to people watch
Not enough on site parking
in town for a concert at SPAC, staff was very nice and helpful. Great location, easy to find. We really liked having a room by the pool. Room was very nice & clean. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends/family.
No hair dryer, not very good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was also a little disappointing.
friendly staff, clean
very old needs to be updated not enough on site parking limited free breakfast
The look and fixtures are so old that the place now almost has a hip retro feel. The rooms and bathrooms were incredibly clean. Great location and great value for the buck. I'll stay here again.
The location is great. In the center of Saratoga. Close to everything! Very retro indoor pool. Reminded me of the 70's which isn't a bad thing!
The beds are really not comfortable. If you are sleeping with someone, whenever they move the whole darn thing does. We were in the second story above the sidewalk so when all the bars let out, the drunkedy-drunks were directly under our open window. "Breakfast" is danish, coffee, muffins and such. We walked up the street for some real food.
bedding, hair in drain, no hair dryer in room had to ask for one and that was not explained to me
The owners were right there and helpful.
Breakfast could have been better.
I liked the personality of the place; and that it was right downtown. It was well-maintained, and amenities thoughtful. Eg, the blankets were soft; there were towels by the pool; there was coffee. I parked in the lot; the public lot was just behind the building.
I was ok with everything even if it was not brand-new.
