Location acceptable in a wood so rather quiet Value for money, cleanliness. It was the highest price for b&b we paid in 14 days travelling in New England. They even requested a higher price than the booking contract was.

OK breakfast. It stank of dog urine from the entry to our room. That stank of urine, mold, and dirt. Worried about worse things than bedbugs! I think the owner died recently, and no one is taking care of this place. My kid was assaulted by a husky puppy (obviousy the source of the smell) at arrival. We were told the "suite" was 2 rooms- it wasnt. The bathroom required my cleaning it with Clorox towels... Pubic hair around the toilet bowl. Murky, dirty pool with frogs swimming in it. Owners kids have taken most stuff out of house, being that its for sale. Unfortunately we were stuck there for 3 nights. Which cost us $1000.00. Which they had made us prepay, so we had no way out!

The hotel is quiet and away from the noise civilization brings. It was convenient to the highway and all those little spots you want to visit while in the area. It was close to the Midnight Ramble which means alot when your driving home after the show. Breakfasts were great and worth getting out of bed to eat.

This was the worst hotel I have ever been in, absolutely horrible on so many levels. For example, there were no curtains that covered the huge window that looked over the driveway, it was very creepy and I did not even stay there the second night, I am contemplating demanding a refund. This was the worst b&b I have ever been inside, I can't believe you advertise it and that they can charge $155 a night. It was revolting and horrible smelling, clearly mold everywhere. There were no curtains that covered the full length of the window that looks over the drive way. The carpet was disgusting, the room and house ugly, the smell nauseating, the sheets and bedding uncomfortable and made of gross old polyester. I want a refund.

I like that our dog was welcome. The family who run the place try hard and are very friendly, but this place is very "rustic" and in need of an overhaul. I would not return. See above

Has swimming pool; also, boards horses and has chickens, peacocks and guinea hens on grounds, and a stream runs by and around it. So a bit like a farm. Rustic, which despite the negtives I have to admit I enjoyed. Had large decks in the back to sit on, although sparse funiture. So the pluses are the grounds and animals, and the pool. Kids would probably like that. Also it's pet friendly, and at least one guest had a dog. Breakfast with fresh farm eggs was excellent. Rooms had own baths, and our bathroom was clean and pleasant. Interior of main house was not air conditioned, cluttered, dark and terribly maintained, except breakfast area which was well-lighted and pleasant in the morning before the house heated up. Our second-floor room was unbearably hot and the air conditioner was on its last legs, noisy and took over an hour to cool the room. A small investment in a new air conditioner (about the cost of one night's stay) would have made a big difference to us, but apparently the owners don't care to make it. Pool, although pleasant to swim in on a hot day, was not well maintained (water cloudy, bugs not skimmed off, no working shower, and barely detectable chlorine, if any). Also, it appeared some rooms were being rented by permanent boarders. Some kind of continual wood-burning operation was going on adjacent to the parking lot, which seemed to waft smoke toward the buildings, although we didn't smell any smoke in the rooms or house. Have no idea what it was and didn't ask. Woods surrounding the grounds were littered with debris.
