The staff was excellent, especially the front desk employee from Hawai'i and the shuttle driver from Morocco We were not able to teleport to the monuments in downtown dc and a mariachi band did not sing us sweet lullabies to sleep

The hotel was very clean and had a very friendly staff. It was about a mile and a half from m street, the main strip with great shopping and restaurants, which isn't a bad walk on a nice day. There is a free garage underground so we didn't drive the whole week we were there. The hotel also offered a free shuttle service to the metro right off m street which took us right to the Smithsonian in about 10 minutes. Oh, and don't forget the amazingly comfortable temperpedic matresses! Very pleased with our stay at the Savoy. The only things that could have made this hotel better would have been complimentary breakfast and a slightly closer location to m street and the metro.

We drove into dc so the free parking was a big plus! Dining at the TWIST was very good. There was no dressing mirror in the room. Our room was street side so you could hear traffic noise.

The Hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff is very attentive, it is an excellent value and even though it further out than where I usually stay I would certainly stay here again.

Some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Every time you passed the desk they greeted you . The shuttle driver gave suggestions & upon our return asked how we enjoyed our excursion. The room was clean, large & comfortable I'd prefer larger wattage bulbs for reading.

Location is the best. Away from the hussle, but with a several buses to take you to the National Mall, the shuttle that could take you to the Metro you get around so easily. I travelled with 2 young kids and 2 seniors. This is the hotel I would recommend. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We were 2 parents + 3 big children - there was room for all of us with an extra bed. Ordered well ahead of time so price was good, added a 4th night later and got a much higher price ($158). Neat loby, nice breakfast (not included). Free underground parking underneath the hotel. Public bus service ok but not great for those without a car. Breakfast not included.

The room was clean with comfortable beds. One employee of Hotel was a classy gentlemen who should be manager his name was Greg. 1.Old style a/c hard to control room temperture. 2. Underground parking for 6' 2" vehicles only, had to park over a block away and walk back. 3. Shuttle not available between 10:30am and 4:00pm. 4. Staff did not inform us of the above shortcomings. 5. Bathrooms smaller then most closets 6. Manager on duty Thurs. 7/28/11 - Kevin - rude and stated that maybe I should have asked more questions before booking. Did not take any responsibility and dealt with me with attitude. Agreed to pay for cab to dc metro only after other customers heard my complaints. Not a family friendly place.

Nice accommodations in the city, an older establishment which has been comfortably updated. A bit of a distance from the Metro (not within walking distance) but does provide a shuttle service.

The staff was over the top helpful. They greeted me on every entrance. They gave me directions, offered to store my bags for the day, parking was secure and free- check out the other dc locations. They provided maps and were over the top helpful. Loved the neighborhood and starbucks in walking distance. Will I stay there again- Absolutely! The sign could have been larger! I drove past 2 times looking.

As the hotel was not very central, I really appreciated the compliamentry shuttle bus which took you to the nearest Metro station - it was invaluable for my trip. The breakfast was not great & the restaurant staff were not very engaging. However, the other staff more than made up for it.

Everything was great--especially the indoor parking below the hotel which was included in the price, completely clean, safe, and easy to get in an out of and there were plenty of open spots at this time. We had to call for things like wash cloths one day and coffee creaamer. Other than that, everything was exemplary.

Registerig and departing is quick & efficient. Access to the Hotel is great. The staff at the hotel is well trained, well informed, and professional. I am especially impressed with the doormen and Jose' in particular. I have stayed at the Hotel several times (Sept.Oct. Nov.and Jan), the service has been consistent and commendable. Each room has provided a different view and the views have been great. I have also used room service from the restaurant and find the food delicious! The presentation is great. I plan to stay again in April and am looking forward to the visit. Actually, I can't think of anything I didn't like.

We loved everything about our stay at Savoy Suites Hotel. Everything was exceptionally clean and in excellent condition, even the bathroom was spotless! No mildew or peeling paint in this hotel! The people at the front desk were very kind and helpful. The food was excellent. The shuttle service to and from the metro was reliable and the drivers were both very friendly. We loved everything about our stay at the Savoy. We felt very safe both in the hotel and out walking in the area around the hotel. We had a wonderful experience.

We got married!!!!! Everyone at the hotel was extremly accommodating and friendly. The beds are amazing memory foam. The Breakfast is wonderful as is the staff. You don't need to go any where else for dinner because the Twist restaurant is over the top. Our room was facing the main road, traffic was a little loud during rush hours.

“My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the Washington Plaza Hotel! Our room was very spacious and unbelievably comfortable; it far exceeded our expectations. We really liked that it was a short walk from the McPherson Metro Station, so it was very easy to commute to all of the major attractions, and it is also was conveniently located near a lot of restaurants and bars. All in all, the Washington Plaza was a great deal, especially for two college students looking to get away for the weekend! ” Lydia, North Bergen |
