noise of the traffic, almost all night
The bed distribution..
The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I was very comfortable in my room and thought the towels were so soft and wonderful.
Free Parking! Also shuttle service to subway station in morning and late afternoon/early evening. Made it very easy to take public transportation. Room was quiet and comfortable and a good size. Location was within walking distance to National Cathedral and a short subway ride to The Mall.
The room we had was at the end of the hall. Wi-Fi was not available in the room at any time. We had to go to the lobby to check for emails or to use internet. Breakfast was not included with our room.
The hotel staff are very helpful, and the neighborhood surrounding the hotel is quite beautiful. The Hotel furnishings are quite nice. Parking is excellent. The shuttle to the metro stop was a life saver, because the metro access to the Mall is quick and painless. Otherwise there are only bus routes into town (including the Georgetown-to-Union-Station circulator route that starts 4 or 5 blocks down Wisconsin Avenue) that take much longer. Auto access to I-495 beltway and to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway is straightforward. Driving to the Mall is easy.
Our room was dated and had poor quality carpet sticky to the feet for our first two nights. Vent in bathroom didn't work, and windows could not be opened sufficiently for ventilation. Thus, we ran the air conditioning the whole time to keep the air fresh. The AC unit is extremely loud- the kind common in many older motels.
Nice big rooms, easy buses or not to far walking to the Zoo if you have older kids.
far from Subway
Large and very comfortable room. Free parking in the garage. Kind staff.
Room was large and comfortable. Parking was free, There was a refrigerator and safe in the room. The bathroom seemed to have just been remodeled. Nice Sunday brunch.
The room needed a paint job. The air conditioning unit was quite old and dusty. It was impossible to shower without wetting the whole room. The staff was not as helpful or knowledgeable as they should have been about the DC area and attractions. attractions.
Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Room clean and comfortable
the breakfast is good. a little distance to capital hill, the parking in hotel is expensive, but fortunately we found one area for free parking very nearby
Great location near American University, if you have a car.
Not so great if you need the Metro.
The room was big and spacious and the beds were great. It was super clean when we arrived and was cleaned the Following day. The location was great, there was a bus directly across the road that took you in towards all the main sites.
Comfort Staff Quality and cleanliness.
It is located some distance from the metro and the shuttle hours are limited. So it means lots of travel by bus - which can take longer than you think.
Very secure building . Firm matress and nice shower. Good TV . Staff recommended a great pizza delivery place for late night.
don't have a complimentary breakfast. "Room with a view" had NO view except trees and the building next door. Garage is very tight ( but is secure - just not sure it's worth $30 )
Very helpful front desk Room pleasant, comfortable beds with plentyof pillows
location of coffee maker, refrig in closet
Coffee machine nice rooms really nice staff mostly everything
AC in the corridors is freezing weirdly designed bathroom/toilet space
The location, surroundings, hotel itself and more importantly friendly and helpful staff, from Ryan to Anastasia and Hafiza and all other guys let us just to enjoy our visit in DC.
Quality of my WiFi in the rooms might be better.
I particularly liked the location of hotel. It was a clean, comfortable and cosy hotel.
I got some great advice from the desk clerks concerning Indian Restaurants and Ethiopian Restaurants. Friendly and helpful when I printed air boarding pass. The beds were nicely made each day.
There was nothing that I didn't like.
Towels where not clean. Carpets need a complete changeover. It is too far from DC centre. It costs $12 per person to go to union station and back from cleaveland park Metro station and it will take 30-45 min one way.Watch for the $40 Parking fee per night extra.
I have been to a lot of hotels but this hotel had some of the best front desk/personnel service I have experienced.
Good value for the money clean, safe, convenient
underground parking tight to maneuver otherwise okay ice machine in basement
The neighborhood, many embassies and beautiful streets. Situation, not so far from Washington downtown even walking and near Georgetown. A so pretty city.
Overall everything was ok. The room was spacious and comfortable. Not all staff but especially some ladies at the reception desk are friendly and super nice.
Beds were squeeking! Corridors need new carpets. Breakfast buffet could have a little more variation.
Nice staff. Very clean. Comfy beds. Lots of cable tv channels. Shower was awesome. The hotel is green, which is important to me. Safe, beautiful location in Georgetown.
If you'll be taking the Metro the closest station is a little bit of a walk (about 1.5 miles)
