We liked the view from the dock .
The resort was extremely hard to find by car and phone directions were confusing. We thought the room was very dark. We were disappointed that we had no view from our room and no beach to access. The price seemed high for this.
Location is good, view is magnificent. Friendly owners and spacious rooms and terraces. Nice to have a kitchen in the room. Beach towels and snorkling gear are free of charge.
Amenities are poor given the room rates (300-400 dollars a night). Cleaning was only once in two days, but they missed out one day. So our room was only cleaned once during our six-day stay. Little activities, uninspired staff and noisy neighbours. Spacious room and location/view didn't make up for this.
Waking up to the beautiful view of the mountain, the place near the sand bar. You must take a kayak from the resort to go to the sand bar.
Our room was the room 13, we heard a lot of noise from other rooms that close to us.
Beautiful outlook from our lanai and dining room - location is fantastic and you feel like you are a world away from a big city. You are only half an hour away from shopping and Waikiki, and a quick drive in the other direction takes you to some wonderful beaches so you have the best of everything. Staff were wonderful and very helpful, accommodation was lovely - we stayed in a waterfront cottage and this was gorgeous. We had a tour that took us snorkeling and out on to the sand bar. This was great fun, although the two hours went way too quickly. Pillows were the best we have ever slept on! Coffee at breakfast - delicious!
Parking was at a premium and sometimes we could not find a spot close to our cottage, but there was always somewhere. In the waterfront cottage, the couch was not very comfortable and a place that sleeps four should probably be able to seat four people in front of TV. We stayed for five nights and found that there was not a big variety in breakfast, but there was plenty of food available.
Nice location, but hardly paradise. However, it appears there are very few other hotel/motels in the area.
Wayyyyyy overpriced. It had a rather kitchen-like set-up, but small things, like no ice bucket, and empty ice cube trays in the refrigerate were, to say the least, annoying.
The location is very special with stunning views. A relaxed, low-key, friendly resort--a very different experience than frenetic Waikiki.
Trying to keep the bungalow cool was a challenge.
This was away from the fast pace, a true getaway.
We stayed for ten days. Plenty of closet space, could have used a small dresser.
Friendly staff Facillities Quiet Activities
No beach Seamed to be at the ´rain-side´
Old facility with very noisy window AC units
This resort is an oasis. Great staff, lovely rooms and an amazing view
It is not very easy to find.
We loved our waterfront cottage. The water lapping at the deck was very calming. The view from our room was spectacular. Very clean room, no bugs. Fresh hot breakfast every morning on the outside patio restaurant was lovely. Research your rooms carefully because there is a wide variety. Our waterfront cottage was number 27 and was perfect. We wanted to be right on the water and we were.
Made service came every day to make the bed, empty trash and bring fresh towels. My only complaint was they didn't do the dishes, LOL. Their website needs to have a map of the compound and where the different rooms are located, so you can choose the best room for yourself.
Nice environment in secluded and quiet area Nice breakfast Great mountain views Friendly staff Dinner options on site with local food and entertainment
AC system not very good All the room don't have the same patio and view on the mountains Sound proofing not good No direct to the beach
large lanai and rooms in unit 16, very friendly staff Enjoyed our stay
poor/dim interior lighting floors and handles were sticky only one mirror in bathroom
The rooms were spacious and it really gave you the feel of island living.
Lovely resort, so peaceful. Fantastic views. Activities (kayaking, snorkelling, yoga) and good breakfast are provided.
We were stuck in the dodgy room under the stairs. The 'balcony' was the footpath and the room was stuffy and cramped. Such a shame as all the other rooms looked really gorgeous.
Friendly staff, kayak and snorkel gear complimentary rental, free breakfast buffet.
Needed to be more updated/luxe for the price. Decor felt dated. Sightlines between rooms maybe not as private as it could have been.
Fantastic location by the mountains while being on the bay. Friendly staff, helpful of local things to do.
The peace and relax during the breakfast is priceless, and it is possible a quite restful sleeping. Wonderful place to stay on the opposite side of a busy Waikiki.
The internet has good signal but most of the time it is not working properly. It is the only negative point I could add.
Great place. Nice people! Very ample breakfast!
The tranquil and beautiful location. The breakfasts on the veranda and the kitchen facilities in the cottage. The Windward coast scenery is spectacular and far less busy than the South Shore and Waikiki.
The weather on the Windward side is more cloudy and wetter but that is what makes it so lush and less crowded.
Took the Saturday boat ride to the sandbar and snorkeling... this was a great deal and super fun. The location was beautiful. Breakfast was great, had lots of fresh fruit and other options and is included.
The areas around the hotel doesn't really have great restaurants. However, the room had a kitchen and fridge so as long as you don't mind making your own food, all is good.
Included breakfast, provided lots of fruit, great coffee, even better view; easy parking; free kayaks, great location, the staff found and held onto a stuffed animal my son left behind--something he'd had since he was a baby. VERY considerate. Proximity to great hikes and quieter beaches. Tastefully done cabins (Orchid). Loved the raucous arrival of birds in the mangrove in the early evening.
we had to leave
We stayed there for our honeymoon and it was lovely!
They forgot to clean one of our bathrooms one day
great location & a friendly hard-working staff that strives to make your stay an enjoyable experience.
The quiet, noise only from the birds. The view from our room was excellent. The breakfast was great! The staff, both desk and maintenance, were wonderful.
The shower was too small. There was room to put in a larger one that larger people would fit in to. I was a bit disgruntled at the added "Resort Fee" on top of the high nightly rent. I felt that should have been included.in the rent.
