Nothing good about this place
Workers are rude. Area isnt safe.
The room was spacious and mostly clean. Some weird residues on the walls (easy to wipe off but I wasn't going to touch it). The wife was a little sketchy here and there but overall I was able to work just fine. The bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast was sufficient. The gentleman in the mornings was extremely pleasant and friendly. Great value for the price and the location is a few miles from the action of downtown.
Kay, the woman who checked me (evening time) in was an absolute horror. Rude, impolite, not accommodating, pushy, acted put out and downright unprofessional. Her customer service was by far the worst I've experienced while traveling.
Excellent staff, very helpful, could leave our luggage at the desk behind, good WIFI, good bed, clean!
The area has seen better times. Bus 52 and a short walk you there, I was glad it was still light.
I had prepaid breakfast and early check out. I didn't get any breakfast. Also staff doesn't speak English.
room was clean and comfortable,2 miles to minute maid park
run down area,I would not walk around even in daytime
the area was good
the complimentary breakfast
Came from IAH airport, and stayed overnight, for next morning departure from Greyhound station. Great location for overnight.
Coming from six months in India, I found the price pretty extreme, but I assume it is reasonable for the area.
- I thought I would come to a a 'shitty' place when I pay US$ 591 for 7 days stays (roughly US$ 85/nite) in a metropolitan area like Houston. However, the place were better than I've expected. It is clean, even though the carpet and furniture is quite old, with the bathroom shower, knob and toilet needs some 'modernizing'. Hot water works OK and AC works fine for cooling off during hot & humid weather. - I got free wi-fi access immediately upon my check-in which runs smooth for basic connection like emails, fb, twitter, web search, etc for my Surface tablet. - The king non smoking room was quite big with king bed, a small lounge to house your quest, a table and chair for writings/working, a small fridge, a microwave, iron + ironing table, and hair dryer, with complementary soap, hand lotion, shampoo and plastic cups, with cable on 28" inch flat screen TV. The channel were not that great tho, which made spending your day watching TV is not recommended (As if :D) - It took 30 mins walk to get to George R Brown convention centre, or roughly 10 mins by cab (pay $6-8 one way). You can take route 40 or 30 to get to hotel and take green link (free bus) in downtown. They will open new tram/train line down Scott's street to Main street downtown sometimes this year, which will made going to downtown a lot easier. - There are 2 convenience stores on each side of the road near the motel, and one has fried chicken stall should you go hungry. - The staff is helpful, nice, friendly and always keen on helping your stay more comfortable. - They clean the room everyday, and resupply everything including fresh towel and all everyday. - The neighbourhood is quite OK and safe, however, you'll need to keep vigilant. - For a budget hotel, this motel, is indeed a value for your money.
- No water heater, or water dispenser. So if you want a hot drinks, you have to go down to reception area to get hot water. - The weather. Dont visit Houston during hot and humid weather. - Be careful while walking on grass for they were often uneven and has holes which can make you tripped over (i had it on my 1st day here which hinders my ability to 'explore' the city more)
There are several things I like about this hotel. The staff are friendly and accommodating. It is very close to downtown, but you do not pay downtown prices. (I saved about 150 bucks a night staying here.). It is only a 8-9 dollar cab ride to the convention center. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower.
There were only a few things that annoyed me. The pillows are too flat for my liking. The was no toilet paper on the roll, but there was a new roll in the bathroom. There was a towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door-I assume it was dirty. The room is rather dark-could use a another lamp.
The place was very clean and comfortable. The rooms were good.
When I arrived I thought I was closer to the downtown district. It is actually further away than I expected.
Staff was friendly.Convenient to downtown.
Not the best area for family. Not a good complimentary breakfast. Not the cleanest place.

Nice staff, just been redecorated too. Good location about a ten minute taxi from downtown
It was big and spacious and clean. Located close enough to town and easy to get to the space centre
There was no information about the place - it said breakfast was included but it wasn't mentioned anywhere. No even by the staff. Some towels looked dirty and the iron didnt work.
I love this hotel, it was very impressive! The people were very nice, it was very clean, and it was a lovely stay!
There was nothing I didn't like!
The owner patroled the hotel to secure the vehicles.
The pictures on the site were very deceiving. The location was horrible and was thought to be closer to downtown. Room was not updated. For example the carpet, bedding, not curtains did not match.
The room was dark and dirty. I was afraid to take off my shoes. Will never stay there again!
Staff was polite and nice. Price was great and location was excellent. Next time in Houston I will be staying at this hotel. I highly recommend.
The hotel staff were great, always trying to help. The rooms were big and comfortable with fridge and microwave.
The only problem is the location, is not such a save area and if you don't have a car is not the best option, is around 25 $ taxi from downtown and 8$ to university.
Location close to city center Free parking and breakfast Spacious room Fast wifi
location is 35 mints from downtown very quit neighborhood
Plenty of room, nice and clean, fridge and wifi - what else do you need?
Breakfast was not impressing - they shouldn't offer it considering the chosen standard
Fridge and microwave in room, cable TV and super fast Wi-Fi
Location is not very good; hotel near to Houston University and downtown, but is in a depress neighborhood, not good for walking, I suggest staying only with car.
The room was surprisingly clean and large for the price.
The location was so bad, a gentleman came running out to me while I was on the corner and told me to not be on the street by myself because I was likely to get taken advantage of. And this was during mid-day.
place was clean
bad part of town, TV did not have a lot of channels, no nearby restaurants, and was located at a bad intersection. For the price not worth it the only place that was available now I know why.
