I absolutely loved the closeness of the beach!! Perfect. ...I will be back again!
It's not luxurious - but we just wanted a place to crash after full days at the beach and nights in town. It would be nice to have coffee in the rooms.
It was my first time in Provincetown, and I was little worried about staying outside of town at the Seagull. It worked out perfectly - great location a few minutes outside of town on the bus line (and away from the madness of P-town), a nice quiet beach, excellent staff, and clean, easy rooms with pretty sunset views. Can't beat the price.
The one rude guy. No porch.
Most if the staff. One man was very rude. It was fun, but it was like back to the 50's. Needs to Upgrade. I still liked it though. Thanks.
Wifi was excellent just outside the room, in the room it was poor. Walls are concrete with re-bars that ground/block signal strength. Manager stated upgrade in the works to get signal inside the rooms. Each morning I went just outside door and strength of signal was fine.
Clean, nice quiet location, comfortable
Bathroom needs renovation, but was clean
Just off the road, next to the water, not too far from Ptown. Was quiet during the night. Relatively clean, no issues.
A little old and threadbare.
Location, location, location
Good size room, not a mega-room resort, but a simple one-story motel.
Simple was what I expected so I don't have any complaints.
The long boardwalk through the natural seashore environment is enjoyable and you are rewarded with a lovely, quiet beach with great spots to sit for a few hours with some drinks and food. Utilitarian but clean amenities help keep the cost down while you spend most of your time enjoying the area.
Two of the lights in the room didn't work. One bulb was burned out and another bulb was missing. I realized this late at night and didn't feel like going to the main office. When checking out the next morning the woman was appreciative that I told her. The worst thing was when we got home. My wife started itching (and blamed it on the room at the Sea Gull). She's seen a couple of doctors, been prescribed 5 medications, and still itches almost a month later. The doctors aren't sure what it is, although the word 'scabies' has been mentioned. It's driving her nuts and we haven't slept together for the past 10 days thinking it might be contagious.
I liked the proximity to Provincetown and the staff was nice when I talked to them.
Somewhat crabby desk staff.
Inexpensive, with its own (often very windy) beach, on the shuttle bus route for Providence. It's a basic motel at a basic price.
Its in a nice quiet part of the cape very nice plaxw this was our third stay there and enjoyed it would recommend this to anyone
Cheesy ways of saving money such as no shampoo, no hair dryer, 25 watt bulbs in bedside lamps (my wife used a flashlight to read). WiFi had spotty performance (as is often the case with hotels)
Rooms are clean, staff friendly. Motel with a 50's flavor, location is convenient to P'Town, bus runs every 30 minutes.
perhaps somewhat dated amenities: bathtub drains too slowly under shower; wi-fi rather slow, but working
competent, respectful and helpful staff clean rooms private beach quiet & safety
The towel nazi (theft might be the problem) and could use a bathroom remodel, but for the price it's appropriate.
People at front desk were very accommodating there was a mix up and it looked like I only had 2 people when I actually had 5 (this was probably something I did when booking - I did only plan for 4 originally). They brought an extra blanket and pillow and my son refuses to sleep on anything but his air mattress so it worked out. They switched us to a bigger room at no extra charge. Very nice people who own and run the front office. Great breakfast recommendations.
the bathroom sink dripped, the AC did not cool the room even though the outside temp was not above 80, and the mattresses needed to be replaced.
the location, the ease of using the shuttle transportation and the staff
I love the places that haven't changed through the years... They are cheesy chic and feel like Cape Cod should feel... No frills, just sun parched cottages, fences, and boardwalks to the beach, through the beach grass and beach plums to the low tide sandbar walks seemingly to the horizon and the high tide swims in the warm bay waters on the gorgeous sandy bottoms... You can all have Aruba, I'll take Sea gull beaches by day and the Provincetown fun by night... I've been going to Truro Summers for 53 years, I guess I like cheesy but chic...
Just out of town on quiet beach road, 100 yd walk down private boardwalk through sea grass to secluded bay beach with beautiful view of P-town. Room clean, staff friendly.
No in-room coffee and the complimentary coffee served in the office was too late in the morning.
Enjoy seeing the bay from the room's window and the access to the beach.
Coffee from the office not available until 8 am, would have liked a coffee maker in room, as requested.
The property was well-maintained without taking itself too seriously. Beautiful access to the bay, P-town and other local areas without having to get in the usual traffic snarls which start in Welfleet.
The beds were a little too firm for my liking.....Leaving!
This was a find online and much to my surprize I found this place to be perfect! The room was very clean the staff was friendly and helpful...Private beach was clean and wonderful to go down to every morning with my coffee to enjoy the wonderful views of the Bay....We have found our place to go too! Loved it ,Loved it , Loved it!
Beachfront location... Close to P-Town, with a bus pick-up in front...
sink is outside the bathroom :(
Friendly staff Comfortable & clean room
no microwwave no pool
loved the air conditioning, worked well but very noisy.
The only complaint would be the quality of the mattresses. I had a room with 2 double beds and at one point I contemplated sleeping on the floor. My boyfriend and I both woke up with sore backs. Next time I will be bringing something padded to sleep on. It would also be nice if there was a vending machine close or at least bottled water near.
This motel did the trick for us. We were there for 2 nights. Loved waking up and having coffee on the beach. All and all I would stay here again!
Great place to stay. Stayed at a lot of places on 6A and this is one of the best for the money.
