Came home with bites all over my legs which appear to be bedbugs- restroom was so disgusting I didn't even want to stand on the floor, refrigerator didn't work and stunk terribly.. Will never stay in this motel again
Walked right out to the beach.
Looks like major renovation being done, but it was not too much of an inconvenience.
The room is dirt cheap. It's right on the water for easy beach access. Great view of the USS Lexington. Easy access to the freeway and shopping. Very convenient location.
No elevator. Ice machine didn't work.
Dirty moldy just plain nasty!!! Will be sending email with pictures to customer service.
View of Lexington
Roaches on counters Bathtub was moldy Air vents moldy Room smelled of cigarette smoke Unable to sleep through night person room next to us was coughing all night we ended up packing up and leaving at 3 am to drive back home which was 3 hours away
The location was excellent, close to the beach, and close to the restaurants and stores.
bad view, we have to change room twice because of the view on the first one and the humidity, wet, and smells on the second one; many noises during the day until late time, because they were remodeling some rooms, I couldn't rest enough when I needed it.
Proximity to beach is fantastic
Very dirty very unsafe smelled like bug spray. Electrical was questionable. Tile was cracked in bathroom toilet ran constantly tub was dirty sink faucet even dirtier. Floor was not at all level. Deadbolt did not function and regular lock did not seem secure. Steps to get in weren't consistent. Avoid this place unless you absolutely don't care.
The view and beach access were awesome.
The carpet was grubby, the fixtures in the sink were stained and covered with lime residue. The furniture was very old and the veneer was peeling. The bedspread was older than my grown children. The Wi-Fi was almost non-existent, and very slow. If we could have gotten our money back, we would not have stayed there and did discuss sleeping in the car. The bathroom door had peeling veneer and there were places where the tile trim was missing along the floor and there were unfinished surfaces. The tub was stained with lime residue and the towels and facecloths had rust and some kind of black stain on them. The ceiling had mold stains that had been painted over.
Only the rate of $49/night for business. Didn't go as a family for pleasure or she would have left after opening the door.
Bed was horrible, bath towels felt like steel wool, tv was too small and reception was poor. Only one light bulb worked in main room. Worst was when no lighting worked outside and I had to go down stairs in pitch blackness and missed the last two steps and could have broken an ankle or worse. Just lucky. On my next trip I got the same rate closer to down town. With my work, I need a good bed and shower, that's the only time I'm in the room.
ROOM WERE GOOD
BAD STAIRS, TOO HIGH FOR RAISING FOOT, NOT FOR HANDICAP PEOPLE.
Fantastic views and of the ocean and SS Lexington. Beds were unusually comfortable.
No coffee in the morning. Some of the décor is very dated.
Nice large windows
There is no ground floor access at this property. The women who checked us in spent the entire time of check in on her cell phone. She seemed to be much more interested in her cell connection than the guests that were attempting to check in. The property is in such bad shape, I'm surprised that it's legal for them to rent rooms. The toilet leaked constantly. They had placed a pail under the toilet to catch the drips although did not stop in during or 2 night stay to even dump out the over flowed water in the pail to make room for the new drips. There is no true "hot" water. The water is tepid at best (uncomfortable for a bath or shower). There were no traps in the sink or the bathtub drain. If something drops in, it's gone! The return air on the AC/Heating unit, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years (the filter as well). The heating unit didn't respond to the thermostat; it keep running even at 90 degrees and there was no way to shut it off. The furniture was ancient, in bad shape, falling apart. There were holes in the wall, unfinished tile in the bathroom and the entire space smelled like dogs had been living there for about a month before we moved in. A construction crew was there throughout our stay. It was noisy and the construction workers are staying at the hotel. After our 1st night there we found the next morning that someone had tampered with our car. We pull a small "Carry All" off of our car hitch. The items in it were warped with a tarp and fastened to the Carry All with tie downs. There were about 6 to 8 tie downs in all. That 1st morning we found that someone had taken apart many of the tie downs. It looked like an attempt to dismantle the package and perhaps take our things. Perhaps they (attempted robbers) were disrupted or felt that it was too difficult to get to the contents as they just left everything undone.
Right on the beach New TV
Everything is run down. Human hairs on sheets. Linens soiled. We slept fully clothed on top of the comforter. Bathroom door was stuck at 45 degree angle. Luckily we're skinny. Bugs in bathroom. Light shades and air vents have dust hanging off. Flooring soiled and dirty. Moth holes in curtains. Booked 2 nights, but only stayed one it was so disgusting. We wouldn't have stayed one night, but arrived after midnight. No staff before 9am, so couldn't even talk to them about disgusting conditions.
The scenery of how close it was to the beach.
They had construction going on and all the material was in the parking lot. They started construction under our room at 8am. Failed to let us know of any construction.
Walking distance to beach, restaurants, shops, the Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. Beautiful view from the room.
View was great
Door wouldn't stay latched kept coming open. Left after one nite cuz there werent any vacancies was refunded money
The location was great next to Fajitaville could hear the live band when outside the hotel, right on the beach and the beds were very comfortable.
Rooms are outdated renovations are happening, great for the price though !!!!!
I loved the view, I think it had the best beach access of any motel on the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the beds were great. It is an older motel, so it's not for the rich and spoiled. But for the average person looking for a nice, clean spacious room with a great view, at a bargain price this is the place.
The only negative thing was the wifi , there was a lot of people using it, so it was slow and not great. But with the beach right outside your door, who needs wifi.
They were working on the facility from 9am to 6pm very noisy.
The view was amazing and it was right on the beach, It was very inexpensive, but you get what you pay for..
I had a long drive and a long day of business, I checked into my room to relax but was interupted by loud banging and drilling, to find out they were doing construction work on the hotel right outside of my window, it was so loud I couldn't even make phone calls..I had to leave the hotel for a few hours for peace and quiet. There was a beer can still in my trash can, and the bath still had a few stray hairs. There was also a phone charger still plugged into the wall which made me nervous that the house keeper didn't do a great job on checking the whole room. I came back later that night to find the construction workers were staying in the room right next to mine, and I heard them talking the whole night..Luckily I was so exhausted that once I fell asleep I slept right through it. The front desk does not stay open 24 hours either
The view was beautiful.
It was old and i was not informed of mess from remodeling. Room was still dirty and only one light worked in the bathroom and only one in the room. The towels were harsh and over all was not a fun stay
Location and price...thats about it
The floor by the little kitchen table was wet the room smelled musty. on an early Thursday morning around 2 a.m. Everyone in our room or woken up by someone banging on the pillars to the carport below and then blaring their music then after that was situated and settled by having to call law enforcement we were again awakened about 20 minutes later by someone sitting right outside our door talking however they were very kind whenever we asked them to please go somewhere else to talk because I didn't want them to wake our baby up.
Good view and great location near the see.
The room filthy. The room is in poorpitiful. The covers hid a black and dirty padded: creepy The bathroom floor around the door has never been cleaned from the ages of ages. Old dirty furniture. Glasses full of fingerprints. Smelly air, and air conditioning filters greasy and dirty. The perfect place for the proliferation of germs and bacteria. Thank god we had a sleeping bags with us. Wi-fi was going only outside the room. Old towels with black spots and holes.
The location to some attractions was good. The view of the gulf was excellent, but that was all I can say.
No one was there to check in with. Another guest gave us the key and make us come back at 8pm to pay for the room. The rooms were dirty and very old. Shower curtail was moldy and air vents had no covers and mold. The couch had sheets to cover them. We did not look under for fear of what we would find. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The other couple we travel with had to clean the sink and bathroom in order to use.
The view was excellent, close to everything. Everything outside was great
The bed was gross it smelled like wet rags and ALL the blankets too..room smelled weird and the shower curtain had mildew on it. I would go back but defiantly take my own sheets and blankets
