Score from 2129 reviews Good
We've been coming to thecSeaview for 15 years. The staff is polite and professional and the facility is satisfactory. The hotel has class but could use some refreshing. The pool area is excellent and access to beach, ships and greater Miami Beach is very good.
Really enjoyed the old style of the hotel, very nice feeling. Pool bar very cool to hang around. Nice balcony too in the room. Good experience
Breakfast... not fantastic
Restaurent service lunch poor
I am a returning customer every year, and I will be back again next year. My wife & I just love the hotel.
the beach, the staff,
manger"s assistant really disgusting
Location is excellent, liked old world charm of hotel.
Outdoor and pool area need updates.
location........ near sea and shops
Room was very nice. Housekeeping staff was friendly. Very good restaurant with excellent service.
The hotel didn't have an ATM machine.
The ocean view...
The parking lot wasn't free. I had to pay for the parking lot $20 bucks for each day.
Old hotel, smelly, extra charges for everything, you have a pool but you can't use the chairs. Don't go here not worth the money. It's not a 4 star hotel, I think a 2 star would be more than enough.
Fabulous location, right on the beach with a nice pool. Lovely morning walk along the beach. Wifi included in room is a big +. Handy for Aventura mall as well as the more pricey Balharbour. Restaurants in Balharbour mall are excellent though and its a 5 min walk across the road.
Looking a bit run down in some areas altho others are quite shiny and new. Big hole in the ceiling on 12th floor and no workmen ever seen to attend to it. Did not like the poly-cotton linen and tired pillows.
It's a beautiful newly renovated hotel w/friendly staff, a wonderful pool and right on the beach. We were upgraded to an ocean view and it was lovely. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
It took 20-25 minutes to get our breakfast for 3 people and there were hardly any other guests in the restaurant.
Location by the beach and wonderfull sorroundings Wonderfull swimming pool
Smelly carpeted rooms
Our best time in Miami Beach.
Free wifi, comfy beds
Couldn't find ice dispenser, no water pressure in shower, may as well have a tap above your head, very little balcony furniture for a room meant for 4 people, they charge 33 dollars for two sun loungers with umbrella on the beach, but they also charge same for use of sun loungers and umbrella by the pool! Disgusting to charge people who have already paid for their hotel room to enjoy laying comfortably by the pool! I feel sorry for anyone staying there 1-2 weeks, as you will end up spending a small fortune just to lay by the pool! 18% service charge added to breakfast bill, i'd rather give the lady a tip as she won't get any of that 18%!
Very good restaurant!
Paying for lounges chairs
The guy working at the front desk had no idea what to recommend in terms of good food to check out around the hotel. We felt like someone working at the front desk should have at least a couple recommendations of where to go.
It would be nice if it hadn't been such an expensive weekend.
I was there for a conference at the St. Regis so the location was great in that aspect. Didn't really take advantage of hotel amenities so can't give a complete review. Wifi was great and easily accessible!
No mini bar ( but liked that there a fridge); a bit run down looking for the price compared to the St.Regis right next door.
beachfront property, convenient to shopping.
charge for pool chairs. gym not open when normal people exercise. ice machine on lowest level not on each floor. No newspaper. Room charge was high for amenities.
Staff are lovely and the location is great for Surfside and Bal Harbour.
Rooms are a bit tired, it could do with a renovation, although the prices are still expensive for what it is in comparison to newer hotels.
The only good thing in this hotel is location.
1. Old and slow staff. Expect that you will have to open the doors by pushing your baby stroller. 2. The smell of old old furniture and carpets will pursue you everywhere. 3. The breakfast. No buffet. Get ready to spend 80 dollars per family of three at least. They have just about 20 tables. And if half of them are occupied you can add 20 minutes at least for waiter to come to you and take the order. If you see more people sitting - just leave to have the breakfast anywhere else. I never ever spent two hours for having breakfast. Only at this hotel. 4. The room. I already mentioned that everything is very old here. Such TV sets are not produced since 1999. Forget about designer's touch here, you should be appreciated that everything is still functioning. 5. Service. Forget. When the guests from the next room whispered smth to each other it was just like they are sleeping right in our room. I knocked to the wall and got the strongest hit from other side. So loud that my baby started to cry at night. Next morning I met my neighbors at the reception. I did ask for moving us to other room as they did. But receptionist offered us only small room with exciting view at the noisy road. I was ready to move to another hotel since I guessed that any other hotel will be better solution. But she refused to give me money back for two nights what I prepaid with excellent explanation: "Sorry, but this is not refundable".. So I needed to survive here for the rest of my stay. I can recommend this hotel as a last resort for those who has nothing to loose and nowhere to stay..
Good location. Convinient parking
Smels like you are in grave or in the house of very old old man Old hotel with old furniture etc.
Spectacular location, best pool, sun deck, cabana facilites with ample space and open air design on the beach. Full service food and beverage on-site, convenient on-site car parking and valet. Very large rooms, balconies and windows that open. Attentive and caring staff. A modern full service hotel that maintains the charm and sophistication of the late 1940's Miami and the elegance of its time. Safe, secure and well maintained inside and out. Walking distance to Bal Harbour shops and downtown Surfside with all of its restaraunts and shopping. Would recommend the facilty to anyone and looking forward to my return
Sadly only one aspect of the desired visit was not achieved. Long wait for breakfast by the pool due to short staff on the day after New Years. Hostess advised us upfront upon our arrival for breakfast that it would be at least 45 minutes for food orders.
I like the location of the Hotel and also the design of the Hotel
Staff was not nice behaving superior. Aircondition in the room was very loud. For the Price not a Worth to stay here.
