It was a very hotel for a family with young children. Plus it's right by the beach.
I wanted a quick trip to the beach to connect with family but didn't want to pay over $100. I wasn't expecting much but was so pleasantly surprised. It was like walking into the past vacations of my childhood, real key and all. Very enjoyable, plan to go back.
I like it because it's oceanfront hotel.
Elevator is too small. Add more cable channels like HBO, discovery....
We cold not sleep for 3 nights and the staff did not do anything - the kids next door were drinking and screaming and there was nothing we could do. It was terrible.
*Location - right on the boardwalk. Very close to shops. *Indoor pool and hot tub. *Sun deck. *Front desk staff was friendly to me. *Good price for a beach front hotel. *Seemed like it was an older hotel, but fairly well maintained. *This is the second year we have stayed here as we appreciate the cost, location and convienence.
*We ended up with a queen room after reserving a king room through booking. I'm not sure who's error that was. The "queen size" beds, pillows and rooms are small. *Restaurant is pricey! *Very little parking! *Pool and hot tub are in a separate building *the one elevator is tiny
Location, location, location.
Hard mattresses; first floor rooms stare at the parking lot. Tiny bottles of shampoo that weren't replaced.
It was clean. Loved the balcony and view
There was little window above door where light from outside shone thru all night and couldn't close drapes to shut out light
patio location was good
THERE WERE LIGHT FIXTURES THAT DIDNT WORK air conditioning didn't seem to have therostrat setting it would not cut on unless it was put down on very low so u had to turn on and off for cooling
Loved that we could walk out the door and across the Boardwalk and be at the beach, so much to do on the boardwalk right at our fingers.
Someone banging to fix something in the indoor pool at 12:45am was not welcome. We had the room next to the pool and the pool was open until midnight we never heard folks in the pool but the hammering was awful!
Yes, we like it
We like the hotel because it is right on the Beach and the staff was very nice and helpful. The room is clean and always someone there if you need anything. We would stay again.
We think the room beds are a little hard but that is the only thing. We would stay again.
the staff, the little foot café,the indoor pool.
the parking area,
Very close to everything. We could walk to 95% of the places we wanted to go to. Very nice hotel.
Would have liked a small kitchenette with sink. Other then that, it was great!
This hotel was great for travelers on a budget! Everything was great and right next to a dairy queen ice cream at night awesome.Steps from the beach, pool, and bike rentals.
I liked the fast housekeeping service. Whenever I called for anything I never had to wait.
Everything was great.
The price was ok, for a night in Virginia Beach. The location was good.
The beds were very hard. The tap water in the sink was brown, which is not ideal for brushing your teeth. Overall, I would not stay here again.
Close to beach and cafe was close.
Truly wasn't enough parking at the motel and the extra spaces were blocks away. The pool could have been cleaner.
personal relationships with the same workers year after year. Indoor pool and jacuzzi
That there wasn't a freezer compartment in the refrigerator. It prevented us from refreezing our cooler ice packets.
Overall it was a great location, near a lot of good food, right on the beach and it was a clean bedroom to sleep at. They had a 2 pools and a hot tub which were nice. You could rent the bikes right from the facility.
The staff was not the nicest, they weren't rude, but they weren't very welcoming either. Our refrigerator was leaking water onto the floor. There were guests who were ridiculously loud until 2am on a Sunday night and nobody came over from the front office to say anything, even though it was on the first floor right outside the office and there was no way they didn't hear them. They had very little parking right at the motel, so some people ended up parking there and blocking others in. They did have some overflow parking 2 blocks away. It was inconvenient but not terrible.
The parking sucked. There was not enough parking for all the rooms.
On the boardwalk
Curtains in room were dirty and fleas or bugs in room . Parking at hotel was only about 15 spaces they sent you to a lot about a block away to park. Not worth the money we paid.
Everything except the decor
Needs to be updated but it's a moot point as this is the last season this hotel will be open.
