The free breakfast was decent, good variety that allowed us to save some money. The staff was super helpful so even thought there were a few hiccups, we didn't mind because they literal bent over backwards to accommodate us. Also, the location was close to a subway so we had ample access to the city. Also, there is a stop for all the major hop on and off buses just 2 minutes form the hotel.
Our stay was great but if I had to change anything, I think I'd ask the hotel to be more green. We had disposable plates, forks, and knives and I think it could have been good if they didn't use disposables. For the environment... Other than that, I have no complaints!
Quiet area, but very close to China town, Soho, and bus terminal.
A little bit small space in room.
Two males and the young women on for the weekend Saturday Were very pleasant and helpful. I had great maid who was wonderful
When I tried to check in early the older women told me to come about 1 pm. I arrived 5 minutes early and asked if accommodation was granted. The women was very ruded stating she told 1 or 2 pm. My friends were celebrating their wedding anniversary and we were told they only have a double room available @ time time so we took the room because we had engagements. My room heat was poor and I was give heat twice because one did not work. The breakfasts and coffee machine was out twice on two days.
The view of the Brooklyn Bridge was spectacular. The Breakfast was ok although the same every day. Loved it when there was fresh fruit salad! The room was not big but big enough for us and very comfortable.
The breakfast variation was non existent. No cheeses, no bacon and they ran out of Bagels every day around 9am. What they did have every day tasted good. There are only two elevators and no service elevator, so we did have to share it a couple of times with the service personnel.
Comfort at an affordable rate. Great breakfast & continuous coffee available throughout the day. Fantastic location. Exceptional welcome from Emmanuelle, he deserves am award for hospitality.
Hostile reception from female receptionist on our arrival. Did not welcome us at all, in fact she barely spoke to us, as if we were aliens. She was finishing her shift &mproceeded to spend an inordinate ammount of time searching for her lip balm to the extent that when her colleague Emmanuelle arrived to take over, she pressed him to join her in the search...for a lip balm!!!! Not once did she ask if we needed assistance, throughout our stay. Decidedly unsuited to "reception" position for such a lovely hotel. Incredible hostility which really took from our stay.
Quiet, and comfortable.
Wished subway station was a closer walk.
The quick check in and the comfortable bed
Peter at the Front Desk very friendly, polite and attempted to fix the problem
Booked a Double Bed room online through Booking.com and was given a King size bed...when complained could only get Queen with a sofa bed... Not happy.
Need to change room after the first night Pb AC (noises and pollution)
Very much like an hotel, big room with so much space, the bed was confortable and the breakfast with so much good variety.
Close to subway and many attractions. This was a cozy hotel.
The second night if stay other guests in the hotel were very loud and disruptive.
Staff could NOT tell us how to get to their hotel from Wall St. And Broadway!
A good value for your money. As advertised, simple and clean, located in a nice area for those who want to escape from the croud center
Noisy air condition. An upgrade would benefit
Close to Pace University and the Freedom Tower. Belgian waffle maker at breakfast was great. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Parking very close and reasonably priced. We'll get a room here again.
Breakfast (included in rate) had a great make-your-own waffle grill. Other than that breakfast was nothing special.
Great location in the historic seaport area right next to the Brooklyn bridge, the rooms were of adequate size, clean and comfortable - but this isn't the hotel you want to spend all day in the hotel. Major subway lines are within walking distance as well as everything downtown Manhattan has to offer.
The wifi was very slow, the breakfast selection was limited. The lifts were awfully slow.
All day coffee. After complaining to the front desk our room was very dirty, we finally managed to get an upgrade. Location is good although it is not close to midtown but close to the financial area.
The basic rooms need renovation. The bathroom is very dated, carpet is very dirty, we found hair on the floor, on bathroom counter, furniture is not only old but in poor conditions, definitely can use some new furniture. Front desk staff are rather rude overall.
Fantastic position: 5 min. Walking to Ground zero, 5 min walking to the Brooklyn bridge, 3 min walking to the subway. Price quality ratio very interesting as you you are in Manhattan downtown. In Europe you would not pay more than 60€ night (to give an idea about the hotel) but it is well maintained and cleaned daily and accurately although it is very modest/essential. Breakfast above the average of the American Hotels at same level. All in all, very positive. The area is amazingly quiet especially overnight... Difficult to keep in mind that we were downtown Manhattan. I would come back
Nothing in particular... It is old in the construction and in the furniture but I would challenge other hotels in staying so clean and accessible at the same time.
Wifi was bad.
friendly staff and breakfast options were great. great location, at the foot of the Brooklyn bridge and within walking distance of financial district
wifi was spotty, hard to keep a connection
Good Lower Manhattan location, which being a re-purposing of a historic port neighbourhood (a bit like London's Covent Garden though, mercifully, less crowded) this will only get better. The room was a decent size and well equipped with good quality furniture and fittings. The style is traditional though not overly chintzy. A good sized TV (tip if you have a tablet or way of accessing, say, NETFLIX, bring an hdmi cable and watch on the TV). We had a balcony and although it was early November it was still nice to be able to get outside. Breakfast was good, and we were always able to get seats even coming down a little later - and the Hotel certainly seemed busy. Staff were always helpful and pleasant.
Air-conditioning and heating system. This worked fine, to heat and to cool the room (we had occasion to ask it to do both things), however the fan was quite noisy. It didn't prevent us sleeping or hearing the TV, but nevertheless it was always noticeable. The wi-fi worked well in the room and was multi-device, only slight moan was that it was necessary to login to the system too frequently. Really being picky here. Perhaps NETFLIX+/or other apps on the TV would be good.
The location is very good, the building and lobby was clean and comfortable... The room was nice, there was nothing out of order, the bed was very comfortable. I would indeed stay here again in the future.
Check in took a very long time, I waited for at least 15 to 25 mins to check in. There was a problem with the computer, after the problem was fixed everything went well.
Proximity with the metro station (fulton St) Breakfast Quiet
Clean, high quality rooms. Staff was very friendly and easy going. They helped give directions to places we wanted to visit, and even let us check our bags on the last day!
Location was good Good quality of sleep Breakfast was ok
Room was very worn, dont know if we got this room because of the deal we got. Only had contact with staff in the lobby and they were professional but not friendly.
Breakfast. The older Caucasian gentleman (staff member) was honest and nice, stick with him, if he's there.
The Asian staff members were ripoffs. Make sure you use cash and check your price and total for rooms including fees. They will pretend like they don't know and charge for the highest rate, even though you book for a lower price . Saw a rat the first day I stayed there, scary. They are completely disorganized and they push to have you take rooms that you didn't book.
