Mystic is full of quaint historical attractions on a pretty coastline. Downtown is full of fun shops and restaurants. The aquarium is very popular as is the Old Mistick Village. The Mystic Seaport is a wonderful reenactment of an 18 century port town and shipyard.

Mystic was a great getaway spot.
Mystic was a great getaway spot. Everything was very easy to walk to. We rarely even had to start our car during the trip. There were an incredible number of dining options. The views of the harbors were spectacular and easily accessible. We stopped at the Aquarium on the way out of town and that was a fantastic last-minute decision, and well worth the price of admission, if even just for the Beluga whales.
I stayed at this hotel 2yrs. ago with my granddaughters, aged 13 and 17. When my day was over, I could rest and read or watch T.V. The girls used the pool those evenings, and loved it. They were happy it was not a chlorine pool, and felt quite safe. When we decided to visit Salem, Mass. this year, they were ecstatic when I suggested we stop at Mystic on the way to Mass. We love the motel and the Diner next to it. We did not use our discount from the motel, because we are trying to help restaurants recover from the effects of the pandemic.
The pool was great and we loved the location. It was within walking distance to many locations. We stayed last year and honestly, it seemed to have changed. Last year, there were different people that were affiliated with the hotel. They swam with us and even kept the pool open after hours. It was so nice. The room was much cleaner last year as well. The staff was very nice and accommodating both years. We had a dog and they were great with the accommodations.
This is a great hotel. Staff is beyond friendly and the hotel is very clean. The heated pool is gorgeous and it is heated some places say heated and it's freezing. Not here. We ordered food and the wonderful woman cooking the food did a great job. The food was delicious. There was also a free breakfast in the morning which I enjoyed eggs sausage fresh fruit yogurt cereal to name a few items. Next time I'm in mystic I will absolutely stay here again.
Lovely location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate and very nicely decorated with all modern conveniences. Top location for a stay. Restaurant was excellent. They have ample parking, though we arrived by train, which is only a pleasant 10 minute walk from the hotel. Free coffee and tea in the lobby with truly excellent cookies. Would highly recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying there again.
We love the hospitality of the Taber Inne from the initial check-in process to the recommendations for restaurants in area and not forgetting the continental breakfast they deliver to your door. The rooms are large and comfortable with the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. We enjoyed the pool and the grounds are well-kept. All in all a 10 rating and we will return for our next stay in Mystic area.
The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and always available. I love the coffee station and the delicious free cookies. The rooms are always in excellent condition with comforting decor and very clean. The hotel restaurant is amazing! Staff was lovely and food was delicious! The location can’t be beat. You are in the heart of downtown Mystic.
Breakfast was included and could walk to the Aquarium and olde mystic village. Located just a short ride down the street to mystic seaport village. Variety of restaurants close by, including hotel restaurant called the Irons. Their fish n chips were delicious.
Everything was great, the location is right in the middle of everything we wanted to do in Mystic. The room was larger than expected, everything was clean. The hotel itself was set up nice with a lot of places both inside and outside to relax.
Public areas are cool and comfortable. The location is convenient for the aquarium and Olde Mystic Village. Very high, but super comfortable bed. James Bond villain style chair in the room. Good parking. Friendly and helpful staff.
We went to foxwoods to meet a friend. We are from NJ and we wanted to stay in mystic for the cute little town and pizza . Your hotel was great in between it all .
