Negatives so plentiful that I can't think of a positive.
Construction all around hotel. Small bed. Lacks adequate electrical outlets!! Greatly overpriced. Some people hanging out at the hotel looked like street people.
1. Kitchen had NO PLUMBING! 2. Closet had no horizontal bar to hang clothes on! 3. huge stain in kitchen (2ft diameter). 4. Broken window with plywood over it. 5. only one tv in a family suite? Horrible, horrible place. will never stay there again!
not much, location was good
Old, Rundown, highly overpriced, construction all around. This hotel should have been priced at $65.00 a night vs. the $220,00 I paid!!!
The location to Space Needle was great but accessibility was horrible by car. It was a good thing we were within walking distance.
Staff was grumpy and difficult to understand. Construction all around, the ads on all the websites had a pool on site but it was drained and obviously unused for a while.
That it was available when not much else was.
Room smelt pungently of cat urine. Bathroom very unclean (definitely wear flip-flops in the shower). Pool was unusable (a green pond). Road construction all around the property meant that whilst it was a reasonable location, pedestrian detours added significant amounts of time to each trip. Far too over-priced.
The best part was two blooming hearts of palm.
Location. Staff lack of English speaking skills. Pool/spa inoperable and had algae growing in the bottom with 3' of water. Pathetic excuse for coffee and breakfast!!! Worst I've ever seen! For over $200 a night ! To top it off, we got into our car and it was wet from being sprayed down. Windows barely cracked. Don't stay here. Worst hotel in WA!
The young lady at checkin was very informative and friendly.
Hotel was not easily accessible; street not on a map; freeway construction; kitchen not a kitchen; carpet stained and smelly; swimming pool filled with scum; and breakfast?
Location was excellent. We were able to walk to Space Needle and Duck tours. Staff allowed us to park before check in which was a big help.
The rooms had not been updated. Kitchen had fridge but no operating sink or cooking area. Unfinished remodeling In Kitchen. Sun came in early in the morning on main room and bed with no curtains or way to block it out. This place served our purpose of a one nite stay for 4 adults and 3 nine year olds. The price was good. So with qualifications we would recommend to others. Also road construction made it a challenge to get there.
We chose this hotel because they claimed to be pet friendly, and we had a little 5 lb dog coming with us. However besides it being way overpriced for one night, they charged $20 for parking, which by the way we had no choice due to construction on all sides of hotel that they failed to tell us about. So there was no other parking options available. The mini fridge did not work, the queen size bed we paid for was ACTUALLY a full size. The painted walls looked like a child did them, the tub/shower was filthy, the door was tore up along the edge as if it had been broken into at sometime. The pool wasn't full and had GREEN water. Couldn't even look out the window as it was so filthy. Only some of the outlets worked and if you chose the wrong one the tv quit working. There was NO hot water for taking a shower. The elevator worked when it wanted to. When we checked out we weren't even asked how our stay was let alone get a thank you for choosing our crappy hotel.Guess we should have went with our first choice hotel and taken a chance on the dog. Plus they were easily $20 cheaper and no construction around.
The fact that I found a crack pipe in room even though I was told room had been shampoo vacuumed but then found half a cookie and a brownie behind bed head post. Then when looking for pen I had dropped by the desk I found a crack pipe and measuring scale. I brought these items to the front desk where I was moved to a different room which was barely satisfying. When management got back to me I was promised a ten percent discount on the rate of my room. But when I was checking out I asked about the discount and was denied by staff even though they had knowledge about promise made by the manager on duty the previous day. At the cost of $249 a night this was outragious service. Not worth the money.
The location the rooms one of the windows was broken and a piece of thin piece of plywood coverd it. The kitchen area had a sink no taps lights not working we got up and left very early. I would not stay there again or tell my friends about it
Close to space needle
Everything was in need of repair. Leaking window partially boarded up with plywood. Totally rundown. Surrounded by construction outside. Stains on the floor. Yuck?
The staff was very nice. Like the way the rooms were layed out with the bathroom separating the bedrooms. I would have put a sleeper sofa in the front room to make it seem more like a suite. Bed was comfortable.
They did some renovations in the bathroom but there were no bars in case you were to slip.
good location nice people at location 10 dollar parking
construction, felt like a war zone starting at 7 am. closed pool
Nothing about it was to like!!!
Terrible hotel! Needs total renovation! Beds uncomfortable, priced way too high for what is offered, not even continental breakfast standards, TV worked poorly, old and falling apart, next to highway tunnel construction and noise. We'll never stay there again and won't refer to friends. Waste of money!!!
Close to Space Needle and other turistic facilities closeby, 10 min. walk from real downtown.
Bathroom with clearly visible deterioration of the walls and painting, giving an impression of dirtiness. On first morning, I found a couple of crawling animals in the bathtube! Never seen anything like that in a "hotel"! The room service didn't care about emptying & cleaning the coffee machine, I had to handle it during the whole week. Claimed wi-fi access, but actually it was impossible to use wi-fi, from the room as well as from the lobby. Claimed full continental breakfast included, but actually among the most miserable breakfasts ever seen, even B&Bs offer you more.
One of the cheapest hotels in the downtown Seattle area- but still pricey for a 2 star hotel. The room I booked was absolutely massive (#302). I think it must have been 700sqft. It had one king, one queen and a double bed that were pretty comfy, and a decent sized bathroom. Sheets were clean and there was a pretty good selection for cable tv. Ordered the pizza that is advertised on the channel list and it was awesome- try the greek pizza.
There is MAJOR road and building construction going on all around this hotel- large machinery operating literally next door at 6:45, and constant dump trucks driving by. If you're planning to be up and out early no big deal, but don't plan on sleeping in. Parking lot is hard to find and very small.
we were happy to leave the place after 2 days and location was ok (exept that it was next to building construction)
- OVERPRICED - 'Continental' breakfast is a joke: some muffins from a bag, bagels and that's it. Not even some toast. No milk. Everything in plastic. - Noisy at night, drunk people in front of our door - 'POOL' hahaha, i wouldn't let my goldfish swim in there - TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME
The lobby floor was shiny
The room walls had hole repairs evident everywhere (Poor workmanship). The bathroom had a big hole in the wall under the sink. The power supply in bathroom was directly behind the sink (Not safe, water and electricity?) It was hot in the room, went to turn the a/c on knobs just spun, noticed the knob cover loose, took the whole cover to a/c off took knob cover off, turned what was left of the broken dial a/c works now. Continental breakfast consisted of mini muffin, mini bagel, coffee. Yep that was it. The man behind the counter although kept the place pretty clean seemed to be a grumpy old man.
Only 5 minutes of walking to the Seattle Center, which has the Space Needle, EMP Museum, Chihuly Glass Museum, a convenient monorail to the Seattle Westlake Center, and more. Relatively cheap, compared to other downtown hotels $2.50 self-laundry service, you can ask for detergent Can ask the staff to print out tickets Overall the staff was kind and helpful
Breakfast is just coffee, roasted bagels, and some strawberry/blueberry jam, very boring They claim to have free Wi-Fi, but it did not extend beyond the lobby, so it's useless TV did not work Phone did not work Only one unused power plug Rooms and furniture are old, things are rusting away, stains in the carpet, etc. Shower is dodgy Next to a major road, constant noise of driving cars At time of writing, major construction going on behind the hotel, making it hard to find and adds extra noise
Arrived to find we were in the middle of a construction zone. Woken in middle of the night with a crew of workers digging holes with some huge digger, I do think that when originally booking that the hotel should have given advice that construction work was happening
Difficult to find the hotel with all the construction going on and the road blocks to the access. I booked for a non smoking room and on getting off elevator to walk through hallway to my room, there was the smell of cigarette everywhere. Caught by surprise when I opened my room and see the rundown state - wall paints looks like kids painting, curtains being lifted off the AC as if it is meant to avoid contact that might cause fire, ac making so much noise like sleeping in an engine room, old, dirty carpet floor, telephone seen in the 1960s and cannot even make any long distance call - even through the operator. When call the front desk to enquire if can call home to let them know that I have safely arrived, a man was not helpful and bluntly said " Sorry,I cant do anything". Breakfast is a joke. Could not wait for the next morning to get out of this hotel. Overall - It was not worth the money paid. If I have to recommend - $50/night is the right value to stay in this hotel with its current state
If i had paid 100 dollars a night I might have considered this ok value, but we paid 225 per night, this was sooooo over priced i feel embarrassed that i paid this amount. The owners should be ashamed of themselves......
......don't even get me started
Location was great, somewhat noisy. Staff was really helpful.
The hotel was really old, did not see remodeling since early 80th, except for a new tv. The value for money $160 is still in question, but it was one of busy Seattle weekends.
I like the people (staff) but was surprised by a $100 deposit required. Was not mentioned I the site.
$100 unstated deposit (no mention of it on website)
