Carpets outside rooms were a little dirty windows needed new screens and bathtub needs refinished
close to the bus stops and shopping
the prices in Seattle are high
Too far from the city and woman at reception was rude when we arrived. Rooms are in need of an update. TV had no volume & shower control was coming away from the wall.
It is the worst hotel I have ever been to. There is a guy called Kent with a beard and mustache, he is so unfriendly and such a duche! Service is bad breakfast is bad and the wifi doesn't even work. If you have a choice don't come!
Location for our purpose and likely handy for most of the city. We visit the city often and always stay over. We were able to check in an hour early which was crucial given that we had to dress for a wedding and barely had time at that. We had asked about this ahead of time and were given little assurance that it would happen. "We'll try" seemed to be the attitude there. Oops. Some negative stuff here.
The safe didn't work so we had to use the safe of our fellow travelers. We had only two pillows between the two of us and needed at least one more. When requested, the desk guy said, somewhat unenthusiastically, "I'll see what I can do." The pillow never showed up. I'm a two pillow man at night. Wish we'd know of the lack of an elevator for my disabled brother. Perhaps the offer of a ground floor unit would have helped.
Lack of Parking Space - had to park on street
I liked the location.
The bed was very uncomfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was dirty and my lady spent time cleaning it when we first arrived. Parking left alot to be desired if you drive a pickup. I have much better continental breakfasts.
Close to UW gym where we spent our time, breakfast was filling, liked the room with microwave and fridge. Used coffee maker alot.
Cleaning staff knocked then opened our door close it when saw we were in room. Didn't like that. Rooms weren't available until 1pm, takes long time to get them cleaned.
Closeness to uni village
Difficult to get into Seattle centre using public transport. Woman at reception was rude on our arrival. TV had no volume & wifi took ages to connect.
Breakfast was the best part of staying at the motel
Outdated and upkeep
Location to the University of Washington
Supposed to be a smoke free environment but the lobby, hallways and rooms reeked of smoke. Room was musty, and the staff member who checked us in was rude and speaking poorly of other staff members
I've got a great value for my money - it was a pleasant accommodation with decent facilities, staff, etc. Even though I arrived way before the checkin time, it caused no problems either.
Occasionally, there were outages in hot water,, but otherwise, everything was OK.
Would recommend it! Good stay for a fair price
Convenience to UW - price
Obvious smoke smell in halls and stairwells - dirty carpets - no extra pillow or blanket in room - very surly front desk personnel
the lady when i arrived was nice
no parking , no hot water for shower, was told by staff he told me this is an old building .., you have to keep the water running for 20 min before it gets hot.. that was all he said .. in a smart way and was very short.. I booked the room for 2 nights i checked out after the 1st night he didn't care! i won't stay there again ..
Was able to check in early
Reception person at check in was not friendly in the least. Reception area reaked of cigarette smoke.
it looks like it has a good location, but it does NOT. the hotel is very far from the public transport system. If you plan to go downtown, it will take you more than 1 hour (two buses)!!! do not talk about hanging out late, because there is no bus going back. everything is really old
My room had a bad mildew smell. The walls were very thin and I could hear people in the hallway all night long. The breakfast options were disappointing, more fresh fruit would be nice.
There was no hot water for the duration of our three day stay. Also, the air conditioning unit in the room was extremely loud.
The location is really good. one minute walking distance to university shopping center. Ding Tai Fung is an excellent Chinese-flavor dumpling restaurant. Yummy!!!
The air conditioner is very noisy. Poor Internet: low speed, not stable.
I liked the location just off campus for Washington. It was a good environment and the college kids were fun at the bar around the corner. We stayed overnight for a baseball game and were in a pretty big rush to get out of there. It was a decent place to hang your hat for a night but if you are there for an extended stay I would recommend springing a few extra bucks for a step up.
The staff must have been having a rough day because they were not very nice during check in. The room had stains on the sheets and the curtains had blood stains on them which sketched out my friends pretty good.
Location to University of Washington was great.
Slow to get hot water. No lotions.
Breakfast! it is NOT healthy food but very tasty.
The place is grubby, and beds too small for two people to sleep comfortably, TV didn't work, had to call maintenance to get hot water, which went off again later! It seemed only one person is on duty after 6:00 pm he does everything, so is too busy to be courteous he's overstretched so irritable. I don;t think I would stay in a travel lodge again. I'd rather pay more and get more comfort.
The staff was very helpful and the breakfast delicious.
The halls need cleaning and updating
