The reception and house keeper was terrible!!!
Very convenient location across the street from light link rail
Showing its age. Window would not open properly, bathroom had rusty pipe, vending machine didn't work, no door lock on ladies restroom, cannot print out boarding passes,
location, Starbuck's next door
Many parts of the hotel and room are in need of repair/replacement.
No Air Conditioning Small, Uncomfortable Beds Unfinished Trim Peeling Wall Paper Dirty Bathtub/Shower Small TV with few channels Old Bedding and Pillows
Quaint old style hotel with character Helpful staff Good location
No hot water jug or coffee maker
Elevator, no air conditioner, shower, no iron, too much noise in the middle of the night
The hotel was within walking distance of a lot of city attractions.
No air conditioning, pillows were clumped up pieces of stuffing of which there were only 2 pillows. No refrigerator or microwave. The room was very hot and I listened to the traffic and city noise outside all night. The worst bathroom I have ever seen!
room needed freshening up. old but clean.
did have peeling wallpaper, but didn't sleep on the wallpaper. got what we paid for.
Location was downtown but you have to give up security & comfort.
Room 805 had mold in the bathroom. No air conditioning - open windows with no screens. Keyhole for security was plugged up with paper. Very slow elevator but at least they had one. 6 steps from ground up to lobby level so have muscles carry your luggage! Staff was friendly and helpful on finding a drugstore. Needs updating badly.
Close to downtown Seattle
front desk staff very rude at both checking in and out.
Safe clean environment. Comfortable seating in lobby area for access to wifi Friendly staff Windows that open Central location that allowed us to walk everywhere
Without air conditioning the room would have been uncomfortable in the heat wave we experienced but we had a corner room so had cross ventilation when we opened the large two large windows.
facilities and the staff!
Good location, walking distance (under 30 min) to all downtown attractions including Pike's market, Pioneer Sq. Stadiums, Space Needle. Right next to a starbucks. Cheap!
Old-fashion bed-spring mattress, not comfortable. Elevator is kinda scary, didn't see inspection certificate.
Clean. Breakfast was lovely
No coffee making facilities. Only 4 fuzzy TV channels. Lift not operating for 3 hours. Lift noisy. No air conditioning!!
Within walking distance of everything. Excellent access to public transportation. Very clean. Breakfast available within building & cheap! Amicable staff.
What's not to like? For the cost it was excellent!
The location is great for car-free touring. The bed was clean and comfortable. Towels were clean, room as clean as possible considering how tired it is. This hotel has the potential to be great.
First thing we saw was peeling wallpaper. Not a little--big curls of it. Next was the weary carpet. It seemed vacuumed, but it was thin, soiled and made me want to leave my shoes on. Although the location is great for walking around the most touristy parts of Seattle, it was very noisy with drunken revelers, nonstop sirens, exhibitions of speed, etc. The hotel is located in the middle of a concrete jungle and I don't blame them for the external noise, but the temps were warm and the room on the 7th floor got very stuffy with the windows closed ... no A/C, so it was endure the noise or the heat. Earplugs help if you're going to stay here. A hotel on 34th Street in NYC was quieter. While there is wifi, it is limited to the lobby. This was inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. The pedestal sink in the bathroom was hanging from the wall by the plumbing when we arrived. I propped it back up and we treated it gingerly the entire stay. The toilet had a healthy crack in the porcelain that will only get worse until replaced. Most of the power outlets in the room didn't work. It took me a few minutes to figure out that an old-school, two-slot extension cord under the bed was for stretching across the room to the old-school TV, which was unplugged when we arrived and had a total of four channels. (I don't go on vacation to watch TV, but I did want to check the forecast on the tube after we realized the room didn't have wifi.) I've stayed at worse places and paid about the same in Europe. Part of the seedy nature of Hotel Seattle appealed to a more youthful self, but that stuff got old years ago. This hotel was a step above a hostel and I didn't realize it until we got to our room.
falling off ceiling coating material, rusty pipes, broken heater, consistant perspiration smell of the blanket, my room was not cleaned on the second day of my stay.
Excellent location, it is an older hotel that is as advertised (2 stars) Facilities were obviously outdated but reasonably clean. If you are expecting something that it is not, you will be disappointed.
it's grungy. Sheets were old; towels were old. What potential! Sad.
Restaurant downstairs was good
pillow cases and sheets looked dirty.
Very shabby. Carpet was threadbare. We found two pair of shoes left in the room. One pair was in a closet. The other pair was under thd bed. The sink was about 1/2 inch from the wall. The paint was peeling from the ceiling. The price was the selling point.
No Wi-Fi in the rooms and the shower was a constant battle. The water temperature fluctuated from freezing cold to scalding hot at random.
Good location in downtown Seattle for a reasonable price. Staff were helpful.
Not all power outlets worked, sink was coming away from the wall.
The ladies who clean the rooms were friendly.
We had to wait two hours past check in time for our room. The most frustrating part was that we were sitting in the lobby watching guests check in right away. The staff at the front desk were not friendly. In fact when we checked out, we weren't asked about our stay or thanked. The hotels website read that parking was 29.00. It was actually 37.00 and once you parked you couldn't leave. I folded the bed spread back only to find old blood stains. Very gross...
