The quietness, and the view. The food was very good.

That it was at the bottom of the hill. Walking up to the street was a little too hilly for me. Especially to go shopping eating etc... No parking access other than valet parking.

Staff not as attentive,friendly or equal to other high end resorts we have stayed at....the exception was the valets who were always positive, responsive and helpful. Changing room price vs one fied price

Very little other than the view of the mountains from the resort.

Resort is down in a hole so a nightmare to get up to street level. Our bed request was not honored. Every area of the resort seemed understaffed from the valet, front desk, dining room, etc. Room was not made up as requested and when provided with an additonal hour it still did not get done. Lots of steps with multiple ups and downs.

Spacious room with balcony overlooking river. Clean ,comfortable and very diligent chambermaid (Julissa). Bellhops and valet parkers were exceptionally polite and attentive and the driver of the shuttle service to downtown/ uptown Oak Creek Brewhouse was courteous, pleasant and an informed (his name was the Dutch word for 'scholar' and sounded like Scheeler, but that is probably an approximation.

Bar and bartender - restaurant and food presentation all were excellent. Very accommodating with shuttle service to town and valet service.

It offered gorgeous views, located on a creek, had a fantastic staff that gave us the most accurate directions to all locations. Despite my critical negatives(which probably tell you I am just a penny pincher), my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this resort and have already recommended it.

The drive in is tight, and probably got close to being in several accidents just coming in and out (steep/narrow). Maybe its an insurance policy, but the pool/Jacuzzi closing at 10pm destroyed doing anything after that time as Sedona, az closes at 9pm. Also if their bar was more reasonable (2 beers ran me $17 w/tip).

Location is perfect and charming. One of the best in Sedona. Staff is very friendly and very professional. Services are efficient.

Furniture and styling need an update, especially the carpets. Sound insulation is poor and the air conditioning is noisy. Breakfast menu a bit limited. No buffet

We requested a room with 2 beds and we were "upgraded" because the hotel was extremely full. Well, our upgrade was a whirlpool tub (have one at home). They neglected to inform us that there was only a king bed. Good thing we are good friends. However, since two beds was are only request on our reservation, it was frustrating that it was ignored to accommodate guests that arrived before us. We should have said something, but we didn't want to move all of our stuff. ... For future reference, please don't tell your guests that they are getting upgraded, without giving all of the details. To us it was NO upgrade.

Loved the location, in walking distance of area. The valet staff was excellent and helpful.

Facility is a bit run down, extreme problems with plumbing, and the outside was run down in the landscaping. The restaurant was not that great for the $, and the staff was not trained for a resort setting.

I really enjoyed the peacefulness of the resort. I also enjoyed the meals as well as the excellent service all around. I will definitely stay there again.

Parking was a bit convenient.

Creek front location, bed, breakfast, helpful staff, view, quality of room and building--all great. Quiet and private.

Jacuzzi was broken; bar prices were exorbitant.

Perfect location,right in the heart of the restaurants and shops yet away from the noise. Beautiful views of the red rocks. Nice outdoor sitting areas with fire places and beautiful pool area.

Long dark walk up hill to town,needs a few more lights up the hill.

Deceptive hotel rate. I had to pay $20 plus tax daily for the "activity fee" - on top of the rate I was quoted. This is deceptive and manipulative. I want to see the entire price I will pay not 85% of the price ?!

The dining was excellent. Tasty, creative, well priced. Staff was very accommodating.

Seemed odd that the front desk staff was also the valet parking attendant. Made me think they were a bit under staffed. Although he did both jobs well.

My children loved the pool and hot tub. Beautiful setting.

The 8:30 am yoga class on the 21st of Dec. Was fantastic!

The staff were not as gracious as I would expect from an upscale resort. The hot tub was not working on one of the two nights of our stay (something we were really looking forward to) and no apoligies were offered.

Very nice location, by the Oak Creek and facing some red rocks. This property is adjacent to the more posh L'auberge but I think Amara is more value for money. The hotel shuttle will take guests around Sedona town but it is also possible to walk from the hotel to the Y intersection (heart of town) in 5-8 minutes. I would stay here again.

Room was lovely and bed was very comfortable. Happy hour was a good price and tasty, so was room service breakfast
