The boys out front driving up the hill otherwise we couldn't have gone up.
Didn't like paying for the sox that came apart within an hour.
This place was extremely expensive and down 'in a hole' for lack of a better word. You're better off at Best Western. They allowed children, who were in the room above our heads. They jumped around till 11pm & were jumping again early, so we got no sleep. Had to call the front desk. I'll never go back.
Location and amenities excellent. Great customer service. Property well kept and beautiful.
Can't think of a thing!
Staff always pleasant, thoughtful, anticipated needs.
Heating/cooling not adjusted with thermostat.
The staff were all really friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcomed and part of the family. The shuttle service was great as well. The food and service in the dining room was very good too. All in all a very enjoyable experience and would recommend to others.I will be back..
The WiFi was impossible to connect to.
the coffee time was too short
That wifi was not free. And wifi connection was not great
Amara is terrific. Great, welcoming staff; excellent food; beautiful and convenient location...we will very likely be coming back.
That our stay was too short.
Comfy bed, great location.
Lost my booking,no coffee maker in room, no free wifi, garden view faces parking lot, long steep walk up to shops.
We had a great experience at the Amara resort. The location and service was excellent.
Amara is in a great location for Main Street shopping. But the main attraction is the beautiful outdoor area out back. Although it was a little cool for the pool (although many folks were using the hot tub!), at night they have gas fires going and between the heat from the fire and the wonderful sound of the waterfall, it really relaxes you! We only ate at the restaurant once, for breakfast - expensive, but good. The spa was very nice too - great time on Christmas Eve! Oh and at the wine hour at night they also had hot cider for those who don't drink wine. All in all a very pleasant place to stay Christmas week
Dinner was excellent. The place was quiet and staff friendly
Nice location. Large room with excellent bed. Complimentary wine reception each evening. Lovely pool area. Breakfast food was good although fairly expensive.
There seems to be a discrepancy between what the Amara would like to be and what it is. This is not a cheap hotel. There was absolutely no information in the room about the hotel or area. We wanted coffee in the room but there was no list of internal numbers. When we did eventually order it one of the cups had lipstick on it. The bathroom has no towel rails or hook and the mirror above a very small basin is in the middle of the wall making it difficult to shave. The breakfast room was frankly dirty . The windows very dirty and tables and chairs dusty. We stayed at a Best Western premier on the previous 2 nights and really it was better and much less money. This could be a really nice experience but needs far more attention to detail for the premium price.
I like everything, beds, staff, and locations.
Best hotel & spa.
The hotel offers valet, wine, yoga and a shuttle around town at no additional cost. We arrived our first night towards the end of the free wine hour and the woman in charge gave us more drinks at once than usual since we had missed most of the hour. The front desk staff was helpful on places to eat and visit. The valets were incrediblely friendly and helpful every time we interacted with them. The grounds were beautiful and offered a lot of things to see and do on site - we had unseasonably warm weather and got to enjoy much more of the resort than if it had been colder. The hotel was within walking distance of several restaurants and shops.
Seems like some of the communication could be better. We called from our room for our car and when we got downstairs the valet didn't know what we were talking about - it didn't take long to get the car at that point, just not what we expected. We also took the shuttle one night and had to call twice to get it to pick us up from dinner. Waiting for 45 minutes in the cold was not ideal. Again it appeared to be a communication issue.
Friendly staff from the car valet to the person who served wine at happy hour. Great decor and very individual style so it felt like home.
Room, location and view are wonderful. It is in the center of uptown Sedona but is nonetheless in a quiet, semi-secluded location. They have free valet parking and have a car which will take you within a mile of the location.
Lack of information about tourist attractions and the fitness classes. I did not like their restaurant which has a limited menu.
Loved the hotel atmosphere and friendliness of the entire staff. Beautiful pool and lawn area with magical view of the red rocks. Restaurant served healthy food and vegetarian options and the spa and yoga classes were excellent.
location was great, staff was very friendly,
overpriced for the value, wifi was poor and could only get signal in room, hot tub was dirty.
My entire experience was wonderful. Only wish I could have stayed longer.
Great Location, large room, decent view, happy hour.
Room smelled like 'cleaning fluid', I tried to switch to another room, but it had the same odor. The hotel had VERY few amenities for the price we paid. I was expecting a larger lobby area and more sitting areas inside, like maybe a lounge. We also had to pay extra for internet service - this was unexpected! Overall, we liked the hotel but it certainly wasn't worth the high price...
Honestly this was the most wonderful place for me and my 3 children. The salt water pool and spa where fantastic. The free yoga class in the morning was blissful. The eucalyptus steam room was so cleansing and relaxing. The beds where so comfortable. I could just rave on and on. The views could almost make you cry with joy.
Excellent location and views. However for this price I am expecting more from a hotel than just providing an excellent location. Efficient valet parking service.
We arrived at 1pm, room was not ready and staff did not even give the option to leave the luggage in the room until 3pm. Once room given, they did not expedite luggage in the room and we had to pick it up ourselves. Toilet flush broken. Totally disproportionate price/quality ratio. Location does not make it all for a hotel.
Friendly efficient at tentative service Excellent spa - well trained and experienced masseurs and cosmeticians
Could never got hot water for a pot of tea … always luke warm. International visitors like a hot cup of tea.
