This was my fifth visit to Chicago and I choose the Seneca from the first and am never disappointed. It has a prime location two minutes walk to the Magnificent Mile. The staff and welcome are unsurpassed and every effort is made to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I have sung the praises of this hotel for several years and when my adult son accompanied me last week his comment was that I had not exaggerated my description of this Chicago gem. We were upgraded to a suite and loved the space and comfort, not to mention the faultless cleanliness of the rooms. Our suite comprised a large bedroom with two large double beds, three wardrobes and a fully fitted ensuite bathroom. There was a second washroom comprising a wc and wash basin enroute to the huge living/dining room which was richly furnished with sofas, armchairs, display units and a beautiful dining table and chairs. There was a fully fitted kitchen immaculately kitted out with everything from dishwasher to microwave and all dishes and cutlery. Fresh linens daily including towels and kitchen linens. Has to be experienced to believe it. Can't wait for next visit which I plan for autumn 2012 with my daughter. Complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious and gave us a great start to the day. Couldn't rate this hotel more highly. I consider the Seneca Hotel my transatlantic home-from-home and if I couldn't get my reservation there I would postpone my trip. Five star+

A great boutique hotel in the midst of downtown Chicago - located on a beautiful, quiet street, near the lake, OFF of Michigan Avenue by only 2 blocks (therefore, no worries about crossing the street, yet always a cab available), friendly doormen and bellhops, and a lovely rooftop terrace. I felt very safe and was very comfortable.

Great price for a two room suite. Great bed. Slept well, even on the first night. Room decorated nicely. Small bathroom, dated kitchen. Sat too low in much of the furniture.

Value for cost of room through Booking.com - our price included a suite, cooked to order breakfast and internet. The hotel was convenient to Magnificent Mile, adjacent to Hancock Center. The interior of the room could use updating, but it was clean and served us very well. They had the heat turned off for the spring and a cold spell came, so no heat was available, but they gave us extra blankets and we were cozy.

I ordered double bed room and it was single bed. Surprisingly car parking was $36 per night for hotel guests. I will never use that hotel again.

The location was excellent. The front staff were very welcoming and accommodating when I used the hotel as a meeting place before exploring the city. The suite was excellent and very roomy. Perfect weekend away with friends. The kitchen was a postive perk to the room with the full fridge. I will definitely be coming back!

The position is great, right in the hearth of Chicago, at the corner of the John Hancock Center and in front of the Water Tower Place, on the Magnificent Mile. My room was a Deluxe Double Room, with two queen bed and a fully furnished kitchen. The room was very large and clean, with tv, insafe, air conditioning, shower and bathtub. Free wifi internet is available in the entire building.
