The location was very good.
This probably depends on what you like, but the whole idea of a haunted inn wasn't very pleasurable to us. Everything is rather old in the rooms, and some refurbishing would be highly recommended. The beds are too high, and the bathrooms are really outdated. There are many much better places to stay at while in Savannah.
Conveniently located to the historic downtown area - we parked and walked the remainder of our stay! Very friendly and helpful staff maked out stay even better!
A little humid in the interior room with no window or vents.
Location, staff and restaurant.
Parking is a big issue. Antique furniture not very comfortable. Small bathroom. Bathroom not cleaned daily.
the historic feel, beautiful
Damp room, needs a fan to circulate air, and keep humidity down
Nice old inn Good restaurant Friendly front desk people
Room almost completely dark Really bad internet speeds Furniture needs some work Awful carpet inside rooms Facilities ok (no luggage storing, no common printer) Room could be cleaner Bathroom needs a few modern touches
While I was in Savannah on business, I did not want to stay at the usual "business" hotels, and wanted something more charming and characteristic of Savannah. I would highly recommend it for couples looking for a charming/romantic place to stay. Location is great: close to major attractions and restaurants and to major shopping street and river front, still, far enough in the heart of Savannah. Value for money was very good, especially in an expansive place like Savannah. Room was pretty and very comfortable. I did not try the restaurant but it looked comfortable with a good menu. I really appreciated the free drinks at the friendly lounge attached to the hotel I was given upon registration. Nice staff, very accomodating.I did not have a car but I understand, booking comes with parking: great advantage in Savannah where parking is at a premium and other hotels will charge for it.
While it did not bother me, AC can be loud and can disturb sleep. I recommend to set it up on high (74+). The booking included breakfast but it starts at 8:30 am. For businesspeople, it is a bit late, I would recommend 8:00 am start. Then again, in my case, it did not matter: the nice staff prepared a tray for me in the evening that was placed in the fridge in my room so I could have something the following morning.
The style of hotel, breakfest and localization.
My family and I stayed in two rooms and each room had its own fireplace and sitting area. The ambiance was regal. My 15-yr old daughter loved to walk up the steps to get into the high bed. We also liked the separate entrance for the Inn guests.
The breakfast was a bit skimpy. I would have expected more than just pastries and yogurt.
The staff were exceptionally nice. They were very helpful as far as directions, and things to do. The room I stayed was so beautiful. It had a old vintage feeling which is what you want in Savannah. The resteraunt menu looked amazingly good. I woud recommend to anyone to go and stay at 17 hundred 90 inn.
There was nothing I didn't like. I enjoyed every minute.
Could not have ask for more, friendly folks just make you feel at home.
I loved the location, the room, comfy bed, and the food. It was my first time experiencing rack of lamb and they made it a tasty one. :-)
Some of the furniture could use updating. I didn't like the melted wax still in candle holder and the dripping on the fireplace screen.
Excelente location and great restaurant, the rooms have nice furniture
The Location was great! The room we stayed in was big and the furniture was beautiful. Every one was very nice and helpful.
We was not able to stay in the main house so I was sad about that. No ghost!!
Excellent location, would have loved to stayed longer!
The bed was uncomfortable but other than that everything was great!
It was in a perfect location, close to everything. Its just fantastic!!!!
Pretty much everything.
The on-premise restaurant was rather expensive...but very good!
The Inn was in character with the historic district. The furniture and decorative pieces were in keeping with the period. The location was excellent, bed very comfortable and room a good size.
Very harsh here but no phone in room.
Friendly staff. Close proximity to favorites.
Great character, set in a group of renovated historic renovated townhomes. Great restaurant and full bar on site.
Good location, free parking if you manage to get a spot on the hotel parking lot, you can walk everywhere in Savannah.
Rooms need updating (bathroom, matresses and couch) and our room didn't have any windows which made it feel stuffy.
Location. Overall vibe, romantic and mysterious. The restaurant was fantastic! We wished our travels kept us there longer. Planning our next trip. Able to walk almost everywhere.
Parking is limited.
Great location, comfortable bed, quiet interior room. Clubby common area atmosphere.
Shabby chic "antiquey" décor." Old house" floor plan . Difficult for any one with mobility issues.
staff is super nice and helpful; friendly atmosphere and unique lodging experience
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!! we walked everywhere except to the beach. the rooms were awesome as was the patio and access to the boys room upstairs from us. the staff was awesome and i got to chit chat with the owner a bit.. nice guy. heading back in a few days and going to stop in and say hi to the staff and bar regulars we met. we loved it!!!!!!
This hotel has 2 great ghost stories to add to the atmosphere. Try the Savannah Flu Shot at the bar - it is similar to a Bloody Mary but in a delicious shot. The location is FANTASTIC and the staff was fun to talk with and eager to help us find what we were interested in on the map.
