Cool old building, great location, great price in winter, friendly staff
Bed too soft, pillows too hard!
The staff in the restaraunt on site was amazing! Delicious food, excellent service! We will definitely be back
Location, in front of Sealife Center and restaurants; Staff friendly and nice.
old fashion facilities, no meals included
Very spacious room; tastefully decorated, very clean and well arranged. The room also had a wonderful small refrigerator. Terrific old lobby with lots of old photos of Alaska and large stuffed bears.
Bathroom sink was clogged: need for drain repair.
The owner gave us a personal tour of the hotel and it's History. What a wonderful place and wonderful staff.
I've been staying in a lot of chain hotels lately. They've been comfortable, friendly staff, etc. So I had fairly generic expectations. But Hotel Seward was so wonderful, it stood out as a place I will always remember staying, and somewhere I hope to return soon. It was quirky, cozy and charming. The rooms were lovely, and the beds extremely comfortable. We did have third floor rooms with large windows, so I can only speak for these, but they were fantastic. And the best thing was the customer service. The owner, Mary, clearly put her heart into this place, and cared about the experience of people staying there. I recommend the hotel wholeheartedly!
comfort, clean, peaceful
Staff, food, customer care and services were outstanding.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel lobby is hilarious! The decor is very "Alaskan" and visitors enjoy exploring what it has to offer. Overall, our experience was wonderful!
We really didn't the restaurant should have been called that. Unless we were lost, the small "dining rooms" are former hotel rooms, complete with old sinks!
location large rooms views
stuffed animals difficulty booking 5 rooms confusion ordering breakfast
It was like stepping into a piece of history. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Lobby had a lot of character, location was in historic downtown, near sea life center
Thought price was high for the standard of hotel, but this is Alaska in the summertime.
The lobby was an exceptional treat to experience. We stayed in the room with a king bed and it was high class along with shower robes in the room.
It was pricier than the other places that we stayed on our Alaskan vacation.
Liked the location and the resturant was pretty good.
The check in staff in the afternoon was not very accomdating or pleasant to talk with.
LOBBY,ROOMS AND STAFF EXCEPTIONAL !
Fantastic room, loved the interior design, main lobby amazing, good location, comfy beds
Price and comfort
Hair in bath tub.
Loved everything about this beautiful old hotel.
This hIstoric hotel that is very comfortable and just steps from the Sealife Center, restaurants and shops. The small restaurant needs expanding, but it served our needs for quite a few meals. Terrific staff! The washer and dryer for guests was very appreciated!
Boss friendly, the food is very good, location good.
wifi connection speed is too slow
location the place felt like home really clean real people excellent restaurant
slow wi fi (not a big deal)
hotel a little dated
The room was very big and nicely appointed. It was located in Old Seward with an easy walk to the coast, the Alaska SeaLife Center and restaurants. It was far enough away from the boat docks that it was quiet. The view from our many windows was beautiful.
The curtains were a little bit difficult to use to close off the long Alaskan day from our room.
Mary Kulstad is my "go to gal" at this property! Ask for the Alaskan side (rather than Historic for larger updated rooms...expensive but comfortable! We will be back!
*Wonderfully responsive staff *Crab omelet for breakfast *BEST location in downtown
