We loved everything about the hotel especially the view of the airport from our 15th floor room.It was very convenient for a short stay as we had and we were able to have a look at manhatton beach. on the bus, a great end to our 5 week holiday. nothing

Comfortable Bed and everything clean and working well. The room was big with everything you need/expect. There is no short term parking available. Just to check in and bring the luggage upstairs. We parked at the valet parking to do it but they complained later that they should have had at least the key. That's I understand but on the other hand side 15 min short parking spot would be great to have.

We had an overnight stay at the Sheraton Gateway May'13 prior to our flight at LAX which was scheduled for early morning. We found the staff to be professional and of high standard. Great facilities provided and a Starbucks on the ground floor is handy for a morning wake up. An airport shuttle bus is available every 15min.

Comfortable bed and free wifi and cable TV on club floor. Shuttle bus service regular and easy to find/use. Concierge and bell boys were very pleasant and helpful. Room service menu not extensive but very tasty. Club floor is not worth the extra money, club room is not up to international hotel standards. Bathrooms were quite old and are in need of an update. Breakfast should be hot in club room, not just continental. Reception is always busy and slow.

After being told we could not have a room until 4:00 pm the day before at the Days Inn in Vancouver we went up to the front desk at about noon at the Gateway and were pleasantly surprised to find our rooms were ready - which after travelling a long distance is a real bonus!! Excellent place to stay. Staff are very helpful. Loved the restaurants. Close to the airport. Great shuttle service. Loved the rooms and the view from the rooms seeing the planes landing: spectacular! There is nothing about the hotel that we did not like.

The hotel was overbooked. Our Room was not available so we had to take what was offered to us or wait even longer. We had travelled from Toronto, Canada, so it was 3 A.M. to us and not 12 midnight. Staff were embarrassed, and hid out in the back room as rooms were not available quickly enough for guests arriving and waiting in line.The staff should have been able to face the guests waiting to check in inline and not walk away like they did leaving guests waiting even longer in line and becoming angrier. Pillows on the bed were terrible!

I liked that the staff at valet were superior in service, along with the front desk and concierge. The mattress, pillows and sheets were so wonderful, I had an undisturbed, full night of sleep. Staff were so helpful responding to questions and accommodating my needs and concerns. Really great, but... The restaurant was a great disappointment. I discovered a metal clip in my pasta. I brought the unfinished entree back to the manager who responded appropriately but I was truly left feeling concerned about the chef-in-charge. They gave me a complimentary replacement of my choice. It was prosciutto, fig and cheese and it was very flavorless and bland. For the prices they are charging, there should be more attention to the dishes. Considering they are trying to build a reputation for this restaurant, above and beyond the hotel, they need a new chef. The chef should have come out to speak with me. The chef should have had a response about why/how something like that could have happened. These things happen and when they do, the chief in charge of the restaurant should be first in line to respond to kitchen failures - not your floor manager (who did a very good job to allay my concerns) but could not. The message I got from the kitchen was, "I'm too busy to bother." If too busy, it isn't with making flavorful dishes at a price that commands such. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my experience and opinion.
