Hotel Shattuck Plaza    

Everything was good. The only thing I did not like: had to park in the city parking garage across the street before we could check in and drop off our luggage. No site parking and it is practically impossible to park on the street anywhere.

Fantastic location in the best part of Berkeley. Only steps to Bart. The hotel is fresh and clean with a friendly and helpful staff. We will definately stay there again.

We liked everything!

The attitude of registration stuffs are very likely and seems nice to me. The atmosphere inside the hotel is very lively full of parties but is kept calm and clean.

This was the second occasion we stayed at the hotel within 2 weeks. The room we were allocated this time around was much bigger (I requested a bigger room at reception) so our stay was much more comfortable. Once again the restaurant and bar did not disappoint.

The hotel recommended we park our vehicle in a nearby parking garage, which we did. When it came time to leave the garage we were overcharged $30 by the garage staff, in spite of our complaints that the fee was wrong. We were told to take it up with the manager of the parking garage, but as he wouldn't be available until after we left the hotel this was fruitless. When we complained to the hotel reception staff about this situation we were told "we don't park there ourselves because of overcharging" however this does not stop the staff recommending the car park to guests.

The hotel is well located right in the centre of Berkeley. The restaurant and bar in the hotel are of excellent quality.

The room we were allocated was "superior king" but was about the size of a shoe box. There was insufficient room to access two suitcases and my wife and myself had to walk sideways if we needed to pass each other in the room.

Very nice hotel, nice location on west edge of Cal-Berkeley campus.

The bedroom - small but very quiet & comfortable. Very high standard of renovation. Proximity to UC Berkeley campus and BART. The lively and friendly bar. Good restaurant on-site and several really good ones (Revival, Gather) a short walk away.

Pan-handlers on Shattuck Ave - brought one back to Earth and the country's economic plight (not that the hotel can do anything about that).

Overall quality, excellent breakfasts, very helpful and pleasant staff. It is a lovely updated older hotel - exceeds today's standards without losing any of the former ambiance

It would have been nice to have ability to make two cups of coffee for each of us, rather than cartridges for one each.

Room selection. We asked to be moved from our original room (which overlooked the neighboring theatre's A/C units), only to be moved across the hall to have to listen to car alarms (4 times) and kids on the sidewalk right outside our window. (We were on the 2nd floor) Did not want to ask for a 3rd roomchange.

Location at the very center of the City of Berkeley, near the BART station. further is the cleanliness, and the very warm interior.

Almost none, except the breakfast menu in the restaurant is a bit confusing.

Coffe in room and nice toilettries. Comfortable bed and linens. Quiet location, and rooms were quiet. Easy access.

Noisy lobby area, bar was right in lobby. Could hear some machinery going durning the night, ventilation fans?

To many group bookings it seemed.Didn't get a room I requested ahead of time ,that they asked me about through e- mail.

It had a fantastic hip and well designed lay out and style. The rooms were compact and lovely. The location is great in relationship to the BART and Berkley campus. There's great food around the area and a movie theater around the corner.

I had to wait for, or ask for a staff person to be at the counter for check in, and check out, and for a question. Folks were not accessible. The room was quite small and poorly arranged for the price. No comfortable place to sit.
