The room was extremely adequate for NYC. The size was decent and the bathroom was very functional other than not much counter space. The location was Excellent - near Grand Central. The decor was nice as well, and I also like that they use Aveda products, so I have to pack less of my own. They have a new policy of "no carry ins" which I think is ridiculous in any hotel, especially one that costs $300/night. Not that it stops anyone. |

Excellent location. Close enough to all that NY has to offer but our rooms were quiet. The two suites we had were spacious and provided everything we required. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Bathrooms a bit cramped |

Space in the 2 Bedroom suite and the fact that it had a balcony which was amazing in ny For some reason, they provide you with a lovely little kitchenettebut no kettle, cups tea or coffee and in a 3.5 star hotel, this just seems unacceptable. When we asked for kettle and cups we got them but no spoons etc - I think that really lets the hotel down - apart from that, we were very impressed |

The type of accommodation booked was not available when we checked in. We were given alternative accommodation (2 single rooms vice 2 bed suite) which cost more than the original quote. I believe we should have been given equal accommodation at least, at no extra cost. |

Everything went fine until we got other room's invoice on our door and appeared to us that they paid only 100 USD per night and our price is 296 USD per night.... During our stay, we received other room's invoice accidentially (delivered to wrong room) which caused bad feeling for us that we paid 295 USD per night but our neighbor paid only 100 USD per night, how would you compensate this feeling for us... |

A short walk to Grand Central Station to start each day - an extremely convenient location from which to explore New York for the first time. A handy laundry a few doors down. Too much emphasis on looking trendy and not enough on friendly customer service - we were hardly spoken to during our 7 days. Bar could often be very noisy. |

The one bedroom suite was large by NYC standards, although the bathroom was typically small. Stylish furnishings, but somewhat sparse Great for 3-4 family members..but had only one chair in the suite..plus sofa bed...we did have to use the desk chair for seating. Booked a 2 bath suite several months earlier but when arrived I was cheerfully told by the desk that I've been 'down-graded' to a one bath.. but they would reduce my price...bad news as I based my reservation on having 2 baths to accommodate our family. I also booked a standard 2 bed room for my daughter, son in law and grandson...and they put them in a Queen room with 1 bed...I booked a double double for my brother and his 20 year old daughter and they gave them a Queen bed only also...at least after much time them did give them each a single room instead of making them sleep together. Obviously making a specific reservation doesn't seem to matter at this hotel. I also felt that no one cared...no staff member spoke to us after checkin. |

The room and the hotel itself were very nice and the location was great, Rooms have had a major makeover so that although the building is old the rooms are very modern and well designed. We had significant problems with getting the room configuration we had requested when we booked. We had asked for a studio with 2 beds, but when we arrived they told us they did not have this type of room available even though I had called 2 days before and was assured we would get 2 beds in the room. After some haggling they did agree to give us 2 separate rooms at the original price. However the second night my travel partner lost his room and had to bunk in with me on a roll-away the hotel provided. (They did give us a significant discount that night after we complained.) Finally on the last 2 days we got the type of room we had requested and it was very satisfactory. Staff tried to be helpful but they were clearly jumbling rooms. |

The staff were not nice. Everything we asked for took too long to carry out and we had to ask 2 or 3 times till we got what we wanted. They put a small sample of shampoo and even this -not every day.there was only one glass in the bathroom and we have to emphasize we took a suite and not a regular room. We were very disappointed from the hotel |

Location. I was charged for internet connection twice and to get it reversed was not easy. Everytime that I talked to the hotel staff, it was a different person and I had to explain everything afresh. This happened 4-5 times. There seemed to be total lack of communication among the staff and no one recorded anything on the system. When I checked out, the system was out of order and I could not get a final bill indicating that all dues had been paid. |
