Location is great.
Spacious studio deluxe room overlooking the river. Complimentary robes. Great staff. Quiet.
Having to pay for wi-fi.
Staff are very helpful - reception, housekeeping and bell. Room was large, clean, with nice decor and windows that open! Afternoon wine in lobby.
Complimentary wine everyday in the lobby Large room Free wifi in the lobby
Wifi in the room very expensive
My TV never worked I had to get someone to come fix it everytime I switched it on - very frustrating & annoying
We had a room with kitchenette and a living room, which was very nice. Bedroom was large.Good beds. View from the windows very nice/ Chrysler Building etc. Very spacious rooms. Nice restaurant called rare on the main floor. Consierges and Doorman good.
No shower cap! No bathrobe etc. Very basic in these kind of terms. We had to ask for plates, water kettle; very very basic usetils for cooking. Nobody mentioned ( before asking) that we were entitled to free Wifi / which otherwise would have cost apx 14$ per day!!
The hotel location is perfect as it half way up midtown and close enough to walk downtown and times square, if like us you enjoy walking.Grand Central station is a five minute walk, so subway is no problem. The local blocks have many bars and restaurants to choose from. The hotel restaurant is fantastic and always very busy. There is a FREE wine hour everyday between 5-6 which is worth a visit.Staff are friendly and room was perfect.
There is a charge on the WiFi which is a bit disappointing as everything else is great.
Every request we had was catered for and we asked for a room with a view if possible and they honoured this perfectly! We had a balcony with view of the Empire State Building!
Very convenient midtown location. The one bedroom suite had nice views from the living room and bedroom. Excellent staff - very helpful. Would come back.
We liked the location, facilities and the free wine happy hour - nice to meet other people staying at the hotel.
Only ate in the restaurant (Rare) once but thought it was expensive for what we had.
The size of the room is big and comfortable. Location is good. There is a kitchen, but there are no any dishes and no stove.
I ordered a room with king size bed and also I ordered special pillows. When arrived the hotel we got a room with small bed. I came back to the reception and they said there is no any other option, but after negotiation when I said I'm going to leave to other place, they agreed to change our room. I was surprised to find in the new room the pillows I ordered...so this was our room from the beginning, I don't know why I had to fight for it.
Location and guest room.
The use of a roof top bar which unfortunately we could not use as it was closed
No Wifi in bedroom
Room was nicely decorated, spacious and held a good range of facilities. Location is very central. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The bar/restaurant is appealing with an atmosphere of a 'local' rather than a sterile hotel bar.
I thought it was on the expensive side but I guess this is New York! There is better value to be had in most of the European capita cities.
The location was perfect for our stay. My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights in a one bedroom suite, the room size was huge for New York. We were in town for a family wedding, so location was definitely a factor of why we choose this hotel out of so many other choices. It was central to everything. The price was pretty good for the room size.
The mattress needs to be replace, It felt a little worn in. Not comfortable at all. When we entered our room it smelt like cigarette smoke. There was ashes in the bathroom and blood stain on the wall behind the bathroom door. And lots of finger prints on the door handles and the light fixtures. I had to wipe everything down n sanitize everything myself.
For NYC these rooms are good size..queen beds...bigger bathroom with ample counter space..rooftop bar with great views
Rooms are big for NYC and I like that.
The restaurant was very noisy on Thursday evening (but it is not the fault of the hotel!)
Loaction very good, 5' walking to Grand Central, 10' to Empire State, 2' to Chrysler Building. Big room despite it's NYC, near many restaurants. People at desk are very very kind.
No WIFI in room (you must pay), only in lobby, the rooms maybe need some refurbishment, there was fittes carpet in the room and it's no very clean.
bed and crisp sheets doorman location
very noisy room very small bathroom old carpet
Location and bedding
Central Location Courteous and helpful Staff Quiet room
Soiled and stained carpets in corridors and room Overall tiredness of the room -needs updating.
room had lots of room, lighting was great, kitchenette was welcome especially the fridge with ice maker, Happy Hour with free wine, roof top bar.
small bathroom with no vanity space, not very sound proof, view of brick wall.
The Hotel was great! The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was amazing and very gracious. Thanks Alex! The Rare view roof top bar was fun and has a great view. Location was perfect and close to tourist attractions and shopping. The Rare restaurant was great and hotel wine happy hour was fun and crowded with hotel residents. Overall we had a blast!
Nothing negative it was all good.
The hotel staff were friendly and attentive and the hotel was a walk away from almost everything we wanted to see while on holidays in New York
Communication between staff and us regarding payment was unclear, not enough information given when taking card information.
Comfortable well furnished rooms. Well located hotel with friendly staff.
Being charged for internet usage, also being charged for using their computer to print out boarding passes. Breakfast not included and expensive at the onsite restaurant. Very dirty/soiled carpet outside the room.
