The Waldorf Astoria, a landmark hotel on Park Avenue in Manhattan, offers luxurious rooms with marble bathrooms, just blocks from upscale shopping on 5th Avenue.

Towering 36 stories above the city, the Intercontinental Times Square provides guests with front row seats to stunning views of New York’s impressive skyline and the Hudson River.
Score from 1161 reviews Very good
Ideally located in Times Square, this Manhattan hotel has a 24-hour front desk. Edison Hotel - Triumph Group is just an 8-minute walk from Rockefeller Center and a 10-minute walk from Bryant Park.
Score from 159 reviews Good
In the center of midtown Manhattan, this New York hotel within a 10-minute walk of both Central Park and Times Square.

Location was excellent, attached resto (Rare) was very good, shower was lovely.
The room had a very distinct smell: cat pee and/or strong chemical cleaner. I found several of the front desk staff unhelpful, one downright rude.
easy reach of top sites but not in the the hustle and bustle. room spacous and very clean friendly helpful staff
Comfortable bed and spacious room, great location with easy access to subway. Walking distance to several restaurants/pubs, and other attractions.
Slow elevators Dark bathroom
Ecellent location close to city center. Staff very nice and friendly.
We stayed in room 518 and according to another guest who stays at the hotel often, this is the best biggest standard queen room. It is a wheelchair friendly room ( although we did not request it) so doorways were particularly wide and shower had a curtain and rails all around ( I would've preferred a glass shower door). Everything worked perfectly in the room, including complimentary coffee percolator . Hotel restaurant is very nice and cozy, we had breakfast there (not included in room price), lovely hot oatmeal with fresh strawberries , a bit overpriced but convenient to eat at the hotel when the weather is bad. Wonderful pizzeria Pizza Vezzo 5 streets down from the hotel on Lexington Ave, great little coffee shop just a few doors away which makes amazing dark chocolate mocha, great handmade bagels at Zucker's just up the road, Grand Central Station just 10 minutes walk away... So was fairly convenient location.
The lobby, reception area is too dimly lit in our opinion and our bedroom was also dark, I prefer bright rooms that get some direct sun. Our floor was too low (5th floor) so we were in the shade of all the taller buildings and view was miserable . My brother in law was on the 10th floor, got a lot more light in to his room.
The location of this hotel is fantastic, right in the middle of it all. The best part about it is the spectacular views of the Empire State Building, it's breathtaking. This is my 2nd trip to this hotel and I will be back again. Thanks for the stay.
The hotel is in a prime position, easy access to shops, ESB, Central Park, Grand Central Station. Actual hotel is clean, comfortable, and staff are very helpful.
Nothing really, just a note that if you require kettle and kitchen equipment, you can ask for this and it will be supplied.
I could not fault this hotel, the staff were friendly incredibly and helpful. We had a lovely large room which was cleaned every day. The beds were marvelous.
Very comfortable room overlooking Empire State Building. Staff very friendly and helpful. We went for the Marathon so the hotel was busy but never felt overcrowded.
Breakfast was dismal. On the two mornings we ate there the food was cold and unappetising. The traffic noise all night took some getting used to but this is New York!
staff were really helpful with anything we requested or asked be it asking where to eat or tourist attractions or just general things about the hotel. staff member Sal was a great help in hotel throughout our stay and also Denis on the door was really nice. the hotels bar and restaurant is very good and also has a nice atmosphere. hotel is only a few blocks from the all the places you want to be.
having to pay for wifi
Feels like a local community but you are in easy reach of most of the points of interest.
Location is great.
Spacious studio deluxe room overlooking the river. Complimentary robes. Great staff. Quiet.
Having to pay for wi-fi.
Staff are very helpful - reception, housekeeping and bell. Room was large, clean, with nice decor and windows that open! Afternoon wine in lobby.
Complimentary wine everyday in the lobby Large room Free wifi in the lobby
Wifi in the room very expensive
My TV never worked I had to get someone to come fix it everytime I switched it on - very frustrating & annoying
We had a room with kitchenette and a living room, which was very nice. Bedroom was large.Good beds. View from the windows very nice/ Chrysler Building etc. Very spacious rooms. Nice restaurant called rare on the main floor. Consierges and Doorman good.
No shower cap! No bathrobe etc. Very basic in these kind of terms. We had to ask for plates, water kettle; very very basic usetils for cooking. Nobody mentioned ( before asking) that we were entitled to free Wifi / which otherwise would have cost apx 14$ per day!!
The hotel location is perfect as it half way up midtown and close enough to walk downtown and times square, if like us you enjoy walking.Grand Central station is a five minute walk, so subway is no problem. The local blocks have many bars and restaurants to choose from. The hotel restaurant is fantastic and always very busy. There is a FREE wine hour everyday between 5-6 which is worth a visit.Staff are friendly and room was perfect.
There is a charge on the WiFi which is a bit disappointing as everything else is great.
Every request we had was catered for and we asked for a room with a view if possible and they honoured this perfectly! We had a balcony with view of the Empire State Building!
Very convenient midtown location. The one bedroom suite had nice views from the living room and bedroom. Excellent staff - very helpful. Would come back.
We liked the location, facilities and the free wine happy hour - nice to meet other people staying at the hotel.
Only ate in the restaurant (Rare) once but thought it was expensive for what we had.
The size of the room is big and comfortable. Location is good. There is a kitchen, but there are no any dishes and no stove.
I ordered a room with king size bed and also I ordered special pillows. When arrived the hotel we got a room with small bed. I came back to the reception and they said there is no any other option, but after negotiation when I said I'm going to leave to other place, they agreed to change our room. I was surprised to find in the new room the pillows I ordered...so this was our room from the beginning, I don't know why I had to fight for it.
Location and guest room.
The use of a roof top bar which unfortunately we could not use as it was closed
No Wifi in bedroom
Room was nicely decorated, spacious and held a good range of facilities. Location is very central. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The bar/restaurant is appealing with an atmosphere of a 'local' rather than a sterile hotel bar.
I thought it was on the expensive side but I guess this is New York! There is better value to be had in most of the European capita cities.
