The staff were amazing
Old furniture. Not comfortable bed
friendly staffs and convenient location.
coffee making facility and a few disposable cups could have made the stay more pleasant.
Comfy bed, good wifi, helpful staff, central location just two blocks from Union Square. Felt safe as they give you a key to enter the main door of the building.
Kitchen room very small. The area is full of homeless people, but I never felt unsafe. They just ask for change outside shops. Just probably wouldn't walk alone late night.
The small size of the room. The cleanliness. No housekeeper during our stay, the towels have been changed once during our stay.
Pretty responsive staff and awesome location. We loved San Francisco and this was a prefect base for us with everything for the budget traveller.
Quest kitchen, Laundry, Room fridge, own main entrance key for added security, Lift, easy walk to tram/ trolley/ bus/ shops/ food, rail station, hop on hop off bus stop, Staff very helpful.Safe area with the occasional street person around Union Square.
No routine room service.
The location of the hotel was great and safe enough to emjoy the city. The staff was very helpful.
-great location -good wi fi -kitchen if u need to cook smth or wash
-very small room -inconvenient bed -no daily cleaning and toiletries re-fill -no hairdryer in room at all, had to go downstairs to the reception and she jut luckily found one in their cellar
It is a practical tourist hotel with no frills.
Inevitable street noise in that city location. Some details would help, such as glasses or mugs in rooms for drinking water; also prominent notification of availability of irons and so forth, at the desk not provided in the room.
location was great to go shopping, site seeing, use public transport etc. Hotel was easy to find and eateries around. They had a small wash room & kitchen.Fridge in your room is always a plus. No bed bugs so that's a plus plus!
The aesthetics isn't that great but who cares when your not gonna be in the hotel staring at the walls. They have no "official" place to leave your things prior to check in. No gym & no pool. Garbage never got emptied.
Location. Two blocks from Union Square.
Everything. It was dirty, the room smell, they did not clean the bathroom during three nights we were there.
Very comfortable bed, friendly stuff, excellent location. Right at the centre of San Fransisco. I rate it 7/10.
Not the most clean hotel
The location was very good only 10 min walk to union square and a half hour to fishermans warf (even though we took the bus). Was noisy at night but that's san francisco city for ya.....The staff were very helpful. The room was small but nice and comfortable. Free wifi was good. Felt very safe as they gave you a key to enter the main door.
Even though we checked in late our room wasn't ready and we had to sit in the lobby for half an hour waiting but the staff were very apologetic. The fan in the bathroom was really loud but otherwise no real big issues....
the rooms were clean, recently renovated and although sparce they were perfectly livable, with a desk, cupboards, drying rack, fridge and cable tv. Towels and linen were clean and carpets nice. central location, able to walk to many things including cable cars and tour bus stops. good cafes nearby.
the way you pay your bill has to change before i'd go back here. had to hand over my card, have it photocopied and then write on the copy how much to pay and authorisation and signature. this was then faxed off to some other place and the next day they could find out if the payment went through. This seemed very insecure, and as I was having trouble with Amex at the time, very difficult as it was a long and laborious way of finding out if your payment was accepted. Staff unhelpful when I desperately needed a telephone to check my account (basically it was too difficult to help me to pay my bill). Unable to leave my luggage at the office on the checkout morning while I was waiting for my bus so I couldn't go have breakfast. Not very customer friendly. (think I found a bedbug too, but I'll hedge my bets and say it might have just been a bug in the bed). Could have done with a towel rail inside the bathroom and a kettle/microwave in the room. Room near the lift were a bit noisy but it was quiet after 11pm. Outside noise of sirens quite amazing, but that's hardly the hotel's fault. added to the excitement of being in the city.
A very basic 1 star hotel for few nights sleeping. Good location close to union square.
It was close to Union Square and my convention. The staff was very nice and friendly. Though it's very near The Tenderloin, but felt very safe!
No fresh towels without request on a four night stay; same for TP. It's a loud street with multiple sirens at night.
Good location. Close proximity to union square and transit lines.
Uncomfortable beds. Very lacking room service. Cleanliness of rooms.
the staff is helpful and kindly
the room was cleaned only once in five days
Free WiFi Excellent location, just two blocks from the Union Square
Hotel manager is always angry. They will not take any packages if you are not already checked in to the hotel, and even then, you have to give up a signature and is really a hassle. Staff is really inflexible for anything.
Great location within walking distance to shops & many restaurants with a pub just around the corner, safe area to walk around at night, best budget fully private room I found that is central to downtown San Francisco, has single room option so solo travelers don't pay for the space they don't need, friendly & helpful staff that allow late night check-in & mind your luggage after check-out until you leave for airport, comprehensive shared kitchen & laundry facilities, front door locked at all times & front door key & card key for room provided, weekly room service with fresh towels provided on Tuesdays for your privacy, excellent & secure WiFi, clean & tidy with newly renovated bathroom, own fridge, quick elevator.
Room service did not change my rubbish bins, no hair dryer provided, thin window blinds do not block out light very well, hotel phone number provided goes to their head office & not reception on-site which can cause a problem with late night check-in if staff not at reception to let you in.
Location and kitchen
The fax machine is OK, but she is not happy to let me use it.
Great location, staff were very helpful and it had all the basics that you need! nothing fancy but a great place to base yourself for the city. 5minute walk to Union Square
No hairdryer in room.
