very nice staff well located and a safe place wifi included fridge bathtub walk-in closet ceiling fan every 3 days new towels
* Sheets on the bed were not clean * Noise from the street * Very noisy ventilation in the bathroom * Could only take a bath, shower-head didn't work * Very small room * Very uncomfortable bed
Good location, good value for money
No hair dryier and no iron in a room
Close to Union Square Lots of great restaurants in the area (all price ranges) Every room has its own bathroom Staff is very pleasant
Just outside rough area of Tenderloin district (don't head southwest of here) Wifi was very slow
so handy to Union Square and all the tourist activities and shopping. Quiet in the evenings and close to lots of different places to eat. Staff cared about our safety.
bad advice about shuttle service to take us to airport.
Nothing fancy but clean. It was just enough for us, walking distance from many things and in our budget. We could use the little kitchen to save a little money on food. Felt safe. Wifi work fine.
Parking could be nice but I understand that they are rare in SF.
Wifi reception awesome, location good, room size good, lots of tv channels and nice size flat tv, good size fridge
Room smelled a bit, most uncomfortable bed ever, cleaned room only once in 4 days
I stayed at Sheldon Hotel when I attended a conference at Hilton San Francisco. Sheldon is a much more affordable option. The location is very near Union Square and within walking distance from Powell BART Station. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There is a shared kitchen and laundry facility that is considerably clean. We can warm up food using the microwave too.
Very friendly staff. Great location. Affordable.
No hand or face towels or glasses in the rooms. Old and a bit run down. Feels like a cross between a pensione(without breakfeast provided) and a hostel. No frills.
Excellent ubication, near union square
The room was small and not clean. Also the housekeeping didnt clean a day of our stay.
Great Location, friendly staff, great wifi, very clean.
room facing the street with firetruck station down the street. No problem with earplugs!
The staff were amazing
laundromat did now work. The noise from outside is very loud, you have to use ear plugs to get some sleep.
I stay here with one friend for 4 days. Staff were really welcoming. Professional but without being too tight ass. Location is good, close to union center. Rooms were clean every 2 days. There is a kitchen in the hotel (not in the room). Very useful...
Not windows in the bathroom.
- Cheap rates, location, Wifi, Cleanliness, kind staff - There is a good Korean restaurant(Cocobang) near the hotel.
Another hostel is just next to the Sheldon so there was some noise at night. Also, there was characteristics smell such as cleanser. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good.
Old furniture. Not comfortable bed
friendly staffs and convenient location.
coffee making facility and a few disposable cups could have made the stay more pleasant.
Comfy bed, good wifi, helpful staff, central location just two blocks from Union Square. Felt safe as they give you a key to enter the main door of the building.
Kitchen room very small. The area is full of homeless people, but I never felt unsafe. They just ask for change outside shops. Just probably wouldn't walk alone late night.
The small size of the room. The cleanliness. No housekeeper during our stay, the towels have been changed once during our stay.
Pretty responsive staff and awesome location. We loved San Francisco and this was a prefect base for us with everything for the budget traveller.
Quest kitchen, Laundry, Room fridge, own main entrance key for added security, Lift, easy walk to tram/ trolley/ bus/ shops/ food, rail station, hop on hop off bus stop, Staff very helpful.Safe area with the occasional street person around Union Square.
No routine room service.
The location of the hotel was great and safe enough to emjoy the city. The staff was very helpful.
-great location -good wi fi -kitchen if u need to cook smth or wash
-very small room -inconvenient bed -no daily cleaning and toiletries re-fill -no hairdryer in room at all, had to go downstairs to the reception and she jut luckily found one in their cellar
It is a practical tourist hotel with no frills.
Inevitable street noise in that city location. Some details would help, such as glasses or mugs in rooms for drinking water; also prominent notification of availability of irons and so forth, at the desk not provided in the room.
