The view of the water and the USS KIDD was great.
The bathroom was too small.
location quality of bed very clean kindness
The breakfast brunch was great!
I would have liked to have a coffee brewer in the room.
Everything site seeing food
I loved the decor in the lobby and outside. Really beautiful. The breakfast was great and a very convenient location.
We were first time travelers to the area and our first LSU football game. We asked about a shuttle or bus to and from the game and were told different stories. Were directed to a bus where they only asked to see our football tickets and weren't told we would need to purchase tickets to get back. Had to walk through downtown at night to get back after game. So would have appreciated better guest services.
I liked everything. First time visit. The room was large, but the bathroom small. All meals was outstanding. From the buffet of seafood (shrimp) to the morning breakfast. Will come again for the meals,
Hate not being able to use pool. I brought by 11 year old grandson for his birthday. He wanted to stay in a hotel was his wish. I personal visit the hotel 2 hours before I booked it and was told their were no room. (Free room). All booked up for the game. So I went home and went on line and was able to get a room. $128.00 a night. What is up with that. I play and I get free hotel rooms. First time I wanted to use my free room I was unable to. [.
The staff was friendly.
The room was outdated and the bed felt wet. The tub was clogged. There was holes in the bathroom door and cracks on the walls. There was also stains on the ceiling.
Close to city centre and tourist attractions
The only negative that I had was the train whistle in the middle of the night
All was good
Rooms were very nice, clean , and the beds were comfortable . Staff were cirdial and helpful .
Not being able to extend my checkout time past 1pm w/o being charged for a 1/2 day stay .
The staff handled the situation in very prompt and professional manner.
Room was infested with roaches.
The staff were friendly and courteous. Free Wi-Fi and free parking. On the free tram shuttle route which is very convenient. The shuttle will take you to all of the local tourist places to visit, old state capitol, current capitol, within walking distance to the old governor's mansion, history museum etc. The shuttle runs from 10 am to 2 pm. Close to other restaurants within a short driving distance. Less than 10 miles from a all major shopping which is a plus (e.g. Louisiana Mall and other name brand stores and restaurants). I felt safe staying alone at the hotel.
The bathroom room is too small. The door opens onto the toilet. You have to squeeze between the door and toilet to get to the bathtub. There was a curve (for the lack of a better word to describe) in the bathtub so your feet were always on an incline while standing in the bathtub. The tub was very small so I had to bath sideways (yes I am a big girl). The tub was also slippery so I almost fell several times getting in and out of the tub. I also had to stand in ankle deep water when I took a shower because the water trained from the tub slowly. It literally took 5-15 minutes after I completed my shower for the tub to completely drain. I ran into one of their maintenance men on my last day there. He asked how was everything in my room. I told him the tub drained slowly. He didn't even bat an eye so I am assuming this is something they are already aware of. The rooms are clean and decent but the hotel is beginning to show some wear and tear. It rained several times while I was there. There was buckets and trash cans all over the lobby because the skylights were leaking and the carpet was wet. Not a good luck. The casino was dirty and grungy looking! I think the Belle is ready for a remodel. My package came with free breakfast. They served the same thing every day: eggs, grits, potatoes, bacon, sausage, gravy, biscuit, limited fruit, and pastries. After the second day I was tired of eating the same thing. I little more variety such as waffles, etc would have been nice. But again I really can't complain because it was free or included in the price of my room.
Clean room, parking ok, had a "smoking" room, good location for downtown
No room service, No coffee in room, no coffee shop for late coffee drinkers, had to walk a long distance to get to a place to buy a snack in the evening. To get some broccolli, bread and potatoes and 2 cokes it was $30 and that was after walking a distance and having to enter the casino area. Couldn't sit inside the restaurant to order..had to order out in the hallway. Pool hours were not available for when I wanted a swim, pool was much smaller than I anticipated, but since I didn't get to swim, I guess that's a moot point. I thought a casino hotel room would be somewhat "posh," but this was not and had as few or fewer amenities as a motel 6, red roof inn, or a super 8. while the maids were friendly and did a good job cleaning, other hotel staff were not very friendly. I used to be a desk clerk and restaurant host at best western, rodeway, and hojo's, but if employees were not extremely friendly and helpful, they were gone. Oh, the gal who took my order outside the :"shuck's" restaurant was friendly, but the food (broccoli, potatoes and bread...were not very good. I'd rate those a 5 out of 10)
The hotel is in a good area and casino is a place to have fun time.
The ice machine on the floor where I stayed was down.
Casino was ok
Room was outdated Smelled like smoke
We come there because we love the people that work there are so nice I just love the hotel
I like everything
Customer service was very poor. Front desk attendant was rather rude and I still haven't received my $50 deposit back
Wish to have a better view next time
Easy access to business district
No comp breakfast
The only thing that I didn't like was there were no microwave or refrigerator in room, and you had to buy your breakfast.but other than that, everything were good.
staff friendly and helpful.
options to eat nothing open at hotel for breakfast or lunch.
The clubs & gift shops at the hotel
The service my shower was broken after I reported it I was treated with poor service. Had to change rooms at 2am. The 2nd room was dirty with hair in the shower. I will never go back there.
casino on site Inside scenery at hotel is beautiful
1) had to wait for room after check in hours because housekeeping did not have enough cleaned. First come; first serve. 2) After having to wait for a room, housekeeping failed to put a shower curtain in room. Water everywhere when showering. When I made mention the next morning to housekeeping on the way out, she stated "I told her to put one in there" 3) Casino needs renovation-old. Remember when it was Casino Rouge 4) Not enough cocktail waitress on duty 5)Front desk personnel had a nasty attitude; not courtesy worth a damn!!! 6) The distance from the hotel to the casino. Too much walking and shuffling (cart). Not easily accessible.
The huge open lobby
The televisions could be update our tv the color was green. And the water in the bathtub was brown.
