The hotel is in a good area and casino is a place to have fun time.
The ice machine on the floor where I stayed was down.
Casino was ok
Room was outdated Smelled like smoke
We come there because we love the people that work there are so nice I just love the hotel
I like everything
Wish to have a better view next time
Easy access to business district
No comp breakfast
The only thing that I didn't like was there were no microwave or refrigerator in room, and you had to buy your breakfast.but other than that, everything were good.
staff friendly and helpful.
options to eat nothing open at hotel for breakfast or lunch.
The clubs & gift shops at the hotel
The service my shower was broken after I reported it I was treated with poor service. Had to change rooms at 2am. The 2nd room was dirty with hair in the shower. I will never go back there.
casino on site Inside scenery at hotel is beautiful
1) had to wait for room after check in hours because housekeeping did not have enough cleaned. First come; first serve. 2) After having to wait for a room, housekeeping failed to put a shower curtain in room. Water everywhere when showering. When I made mention the next morning to housekeeping on the way out, she stated "I told her to put one in there" 3) Casino needs renovation-old. Remember when it was Casino Rouge 4) Not enough cocktail waitress on duty 5)Front desk personnel had a nasty attitude; not courtesy worth a damn!!! 6) The distance from the hotel to the casino. Too much walking and shuffling (cart). Not easily accessible.
The huge open lobby
The televisions could be update our tv the color was green. And the water in the bathtub was brown.
location at casino
having to change rooms at 1:30 am because door card reader failed and we were locked out until maintenance could get door open.
Location was wonderful
The clerk charged my card several times, there was nothing for teenagers to do at the hotel, they couldn't use the swimming poo, the pool only facilitates adults. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if traveling with kids or teens.
Hard to get food especially on Sundays.
Everyone we dealt with was courteous and efficient. Special thanks to Billy and Michael at the bell desk. Excellent advise on where to go and how to get there. Good job folks!!!
Need more places to eat on weekdays.
AC kept room cool
Shower would not drain. Front desk staff was rude and short with their responses. The location is not in a safe part of town.
appreciate the easy access off and onto I-10. made travel around town easy.
Well worn rooms but clean beds.
The comfortable bed .
The casino .. it's too small .
we loved being near night activities
Understaffed bar and restaurant - everything is empty or closed in the main lobby
The location was great. I liked the amount of amenities but only one of them were open.
First off, the room was not supposedly ready when we got there and it was going to be hours before it would be ready. When asking for a suite upgrade(AND even offering to pay for the UPGRADE),they all of the sudden found a room on the same paper they were already looking at in the first place! In fact, 3 rooms! It almost seemed like at first they just did not want to accommodate us. After realizing that we were not just going to go away, they squeezed us into the hotel. Keep in mind that place is a ghost town at this point. So much that the only amenity open was the oyster restaurant. Not even room service available. Secondly, we are a 30 year old, respectful couple, that were not allowed in the casino for my beautiful girlfriend's shorts supposedly being too short(Ludicrous)!! Yet the rambunctious, obviously out of dress code(ANYWHERE), group beside us, baggy, sagged pants, the girls showing far more skin then my girlfriend, walked right in without even having their id checked! When we walked back to the hotel and told the other security why we were back so soon they were appalled and said "yeah, that sounds like those ladies back there!" Quite possibly the only employees we found to be pleasant and customer service oriented were the Shucks employees and late night front desk crew/security.
location of the hotel in relation to our venue
beds in room were small bathroom was small hairdryer didn't work I was charged more than I was quoted online and can't get a response from customer service
The room was clean
The staff at the buffet was very rude. The lady sitting us was rude and we ordered an omelet and was told that there were 10 people in front of us and it would be a while. After 30 minutes out good had still not been started. We left. There was nowhere to get a drink at the casino. No one at anytime during booking said that people under 18 could not swim or even be in the pool area even though we asked about the pool.
It was clean.
We were not given the rate offered on booking.com and actually after taxes ended up paying almost 45% more that expected. At that point it was 5:30 am and we had a plane to catch - so we just paid the bill anyway. Most of the staff was rude and not helpful - with the exception of one young man at the front but (shame on me) I don't remember his name now. They had promised a shuttle to our event - but no shuttle was provided. When we returned from the event we asked about a place to eat and they sent us on a wild goose chase to three places in the hotel that were all closed - and we eventually found out that there was no food or drinks available - and they couldn't even provide change for the vending machines. We did attend the buffet the next day, but it was just 'okay' and we found it to be expensive for the quality of the meal. On Saturday, they sent us 'downtown' for shopping but we did not find one shop that was open??? And did the casino riverboat ever leave the harbor??? We never saw it leave... hardly seems fair to advertise it as a riverboat if it never goes out on the river???
