Clean room and comfy bed
Noise was an issue between the aircon unit (even when off),and construction site next door from 6.30am.I know the hotel cannot help this, but customers should be made aware when booking. We booked a Club King room, key cards did not work a few times which meant we had to go to reception, waiting on the very slow lifts. No robes or upgraded toiletries in our first room, but we changed rooms after first night due to noise.Club Lounge was disappointing, noisy, slow service, coffee machine not working at various times etc.The lady working there spent a lot of time chatting loudly.Overall quite a few issues which was disappointing.
Very small rooms
Staff ... excellent beds very comfortable
could have used another elevator but that was not a major problem
Great service in the Club Lounge. Staff were friendly and professional
Room key cards kept demagnetizing and so had to be reissued almost on a daily basic.
Room was small but comfortable, no street noise, excellent breakfast, attentive bartenders, & front desk staff
The freaking location of the toilet paper holder. You have to be a contortionist to use it!
It was close to what we needed ... we were not going into Manhattan; our trip was confined to Brooklyn and, for our purposes, it was central to everywhere we had to go. Our room was tidy (but small for a double room), and the service people were amazingly helpful and friendly.
the room was small for such a high price, and I live in the Newport area, so I am not a stranger to high hotel prices. We ordered wine for the room the two nights we were there and the wine list boasted a wide selection, yet they only had one chardonnay, no pinot grigio, etc. -- disappointing
When I arrived at about 1:30. The front desk said hotel rooms were all booked and I had to wait to check in at a later time. I was given a room assignment. When I returned to check in at 8-9 pm, my room assignment was changed. Later that night, I found there is non AC in the room. I was too tired to call so I opened window. The next morning I call front desk to complain about the AC. When I return in the late afternoon, the AC was still not fixed. I called and about a hour later got a response from the front desk said they were giving me a new room! I bet they knew room AC was bad from the beginning and still put me in that room. As I frequent traveler, I will never set my foot in this Sheration. In fact, I am going to call their HQ to complaint.
It's cleanness, it's comfort and it's location.
I did not like the fact that we ask and were promise a room with a view on downtown Manhattan, we had a view on a construction site instead. Very disappointing for our honeymoon.
Pleasant staff. Very clean room.
Small room. Stuffy halls.
The plush beds and bedding!
Sounds minor but usually I get a shower cap to keep my hair dry-so inexpensive yet such a great addition to toiletries!
Clean, freindly service, near transport with good breakfast available.
1. The room was small but comfortable. 2. There plenty of power outlets at the bedside and the desk.
1. The Brooklyn Terrace - the rooftop lounge talked about on the webpage, with a number of pictures, is a privately owned club open to the public only a few days a week. Even hotel staff did not know for sure when it was open to hotel guest. 2. I arrived by subway and found the directions on the webpage said to get off the subway at a station that is not in the METRO Subway System. I had to call the hotel for be told the correct stop. The hotel staff was not aware of this error.
Arrived to find a loud, crowded and busy lobby. As it turned out the air conditioning was not funtioning in parts of the hotel and it was about 87 degrees at 9:30 p.m.. There was a big boxing match at the Barclay Center and I think most of the participants were staying there so it was a bit of mayhem. Long story short, we were attended to promptly, the lack of A/C was dealt with to our satisfaction and we had a terrific stay of 2 nights. Victor was the manager that night and he and his staff were excellent in an atmosphere where some guests were obviously disappointed and, might I say somewhat rude. Victor and the other gentleman at the desk, Efrim (hope spelling is correct), were great. All staff were courteous and professional
Location and nearly to point of tourist.
The staff is 100% "on the ball" and treats you truly as a special guest of the hotel. Specifically, Wanda and Darcel, Associates in the 2nd floor Club Lounge cater to your every need with a professionalism and a welcome smile at all times.
There is nothing to dislike at the establishment. This is why I book this particular hotel every time I am staying in Brooklyn.
The room was comfortable and clean. Upon entry, we appreciated the bottled water in the room. Plus, we had a very comfortable bed, soft pillows and cozy covers, which led to a great sleep.
It was very hard to find the hotel with all of the one way streets we had to traverse. Parking fee was exorbitant!
The staff was great and very accommodating
We paid for 2 nights had a child and he couldnt use the pool
Construction noise pool was dark due to cover over windows because of construction
The service and the location were great.
Wifi was not free, and the keys were magnetic and would deactivate. Also, it would be inconsistent on when the keys would work. Sometimes the keys would work in the elevator, but would work for the room, and vice versa.
The bed was very comfortable.
They asked for a credit card at check-in to put 75 dollars on hold till check-out. This was never meantiined to me when i booked the room. I didnt have a credit card on hand so they ask me to put down 350 dollars deposit. Fortunately i had some money with me. If not, i would have been sleeping in the street after my room was paid for.
Everything just excellent.
There is a substation right down the street from the hotel so that's great. You can get a metro card and ride into Manhattan in 13 mins. If you can don't take a cab back to JFK. I took one from JFK to the hotel $58. I took the subway back and it cost me $7 bc I had to get on AirTran which is $5 and to get to JFK is 2.50. Overall I liked the hotel the location is great and the price was perfect. Def staying there every time I go to NYC!
Clean and comfortable
Much construction in the area. Creates noise and traffic congestion
Upon my arrival, the room was hot, temp reading 83. I called front desk twice to have the room chance and to have someone adjust the thermostat. No one came. I slept in a hit room, which was not fun.
Poor costumer service
