elevators a problem. Two of their 4 elevators were out of service, the hotel was crowded, we waited a long time for elevators on several occasions
No on street parking so I had to give to valet and it cost $50 to park . Hotels need to have less expensive rates available.
View of Statue of Liberty from my room.
A broken heater required that I move rooms after the first night, but the staff was very helpful and accommodating.
The bed was extremely comfortable.
The location is in a "low level" area of Brooklyn; lot of construction around; the main street in front of the hotel was closed as part of the construction and as it was raining, it made the experience very poor. The room (on the executive floor!!) was very small; the water pressure is low so if the neighbor is taking a shower at the same time with you, it's problematic. The hotel lobby is small and has the appearance of a cheap place; I expected much more from a Sheraton hotel.
Room was very inviting and cozy
I liked everything that I encountered. the house keeping was excellent, the customer service was above expectation, the staff were very friendly and my stay was safe and enjoyable.
I had to leave.
We liked the location and de room and the bed everthing was super!!!
We think that internet should be a free service in these days so dissapointing you have to pay for it!!!!
We checked in late on Thanksgiving and the staff were helpful and accommodating. The self parking is $25 a night which is relatively cheap for the area. After checking out we had the hotel hold our luggage and we walked around for the day. We will stay here again.
Some of the lights in the room were on switches which were not synchronized with the wall switches. A minor problem but annoying.
comfortable and clean accommodation, friendly staff
I think that alone should be a small fridge as the ultimate standard in 2014
Car park cost is expensive We wait 15 minutes fir valet
Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Location, nice room
Having to pay for wifi
The front desk and bell staff were amazingly friendly and helpful! They gave us great guidance, and answered all of our questions. They acted as Concierge, which we needed. The room was very nice, clean, quiet and comfortable.
There was not a refrigerator in the room - that's the only negative about the place.
Location was excellent -Brooklyn is lovely, a great vibe and well linked to Manhatten. Much preferred staying here than in Manhatten, The Sheraton is just off Fulton a great shopping street with Macys, Nordstrom, TJMaxx and smaller shops. beautiful walks in Cobble Street,Smith Street and neighbourhoods. Will stay here again (you must walk to & over Brooklyn Bridge from here)
The Bar will have to learn to make proper tea for the Irish guests! Especially with a Temple Bar Mural on the door ;)
Good Location closed from the subway station and shopping Area, the overall experience is not bad at all only suites couples and group of people, but if I will be alone I don't recommend it, the bar downstairs is poor and the rooftop club really awful except the view from the rooftop which is fantastic, all the other services are good
the pancakes were really good staff very friendly huge balcony location
no fridge room too small, and hated that there wasnt a couch, u were forced to lie down only. the breakfast club was a joke, usually the hotels I've stayed in included buffet breakfasts
Friendliness of staff Room Bed-comfortable Room service EXCELLENT!!! Quiet Location Valet parking
Pay to use wifi *hide the cost in the room fee*
That you have to pay for wifi you all could do better than that
Rainy weekend / warm hearted hotel We arrived after being in traffic on the Manhatten Bridge for one hour (friday pm) and it was raining. The valet parking woman was very welcoming, helping us with our bags and being very cheerful which was nice. The desk clerk kindly loaned me an umbrella for our walk to BAM that evening when it was still drizzling. I especially liked the light-weight comforter between the sheets and the heavier quilt. I sleep with almost no covers and my wife cannot have enough blankets so I used the little comforter and she the heavier quilt. Never saw this in a hotel and loved it. Lots of couples must have this issue. The pillows and the bed itself were exeptionally comfortable, and I apprceciated it that we could open the windows and get fresh air. A small irritation was that the coffee maker in our room only worked when the OFF button was pushed, not the ON button, taking me some time to figure out that bit of technical idiocy, but the Starbucks coffee was very good when it finally got made.
It wasn't to far from Barclay's center which was the reason for my trip. The front desk staff was very friendly & helpful.Beds were so comfortable.
I had to pay $45 to valet & then was told if I needed my car they would charge me every time I left and wanted to park again. The valet staff in the morning was slow to get my car even though I used they text message method in advance to call for my car 30min prior & still had to wait an extra 15min in lobby.
What didn't I like?! Walking distance from most things, beautiful surroundings, staff were phenomenal - honestly feel like the staff put me at ease with any question I had to ask (I had a lot to ask the first 24 hours!!!) Matthew, Victor and Matt S stand out most to me as those staff members were those whom I got to know during my stay! Cesar also was never without a smile (as were the other staff I had brief meetings with!) I'd recommend the Sheraton to anyone!
Not that I couldn't help it, but the fact there was some construction going on during my visit across the street, I found it disrupted my view a small bit!
Location was great and very close to the city. Very close to transit and essential shops.
I don't get how in this day and age of technology, when I'm paying nearly $300 a night I have to pay for wifi. Taxis out front of the hotel are sparse and the car service out front changed the rate on me mid trip both times that I used it.
Clean room and comfy bed
Noise was an issue between the aircon unit (even when off),and construction site next door from 6.30am.I know the hotel cannot help this, but customers should be made aware when booking. We booked a Club King room, key cards did not work a few times which meant we had to go to reception, waiting on the very slow lifts. No robes or upgraded toiletries in our first room, but we changed rooms after first night due to noise.Club Lounge was disappointing, noisy, slow service, coffee machine not working at various times etc.The lady working there spent a lot of time chatting loudly.Overall quite a few issues which was disappointing.
Very small rooms
