RUDE staff! DISORGANIZED management. DISGRACE to "Sheraton brand"!
Very rude staff at concierge desk. small, dark rooms.
The room rate is pricey
Worn out property; poor noise isolation from the outside; had to wait forever until someone from Room Service bothered to answer the phone; very poor value for money - paid over $500 per night for a regular room, which is not worth 1/3 the price. Will not return.
The location is great, staff friendly and accommodating. Good value for money for the area.
The rooms were a little bit small. The additional parking fee caught me of guard, however it was in the information that I received. The Hotel has obviously been there for some time and could do with a little sprucing up.
comfortable beds the new decor very friendly & accommodating staff excellent breakfast
Original room directly opposite noisy bus stop & depot - room changed Air conditioner old, noisy & innaffective Bathroom very small No bar fridge
broken t.v, broken wardrobes and uncleaned room caused us to move from original room and took a long time to accomodate us - very inconvenient and unprofessional! not accomodating for families in one room, barking dogs in next room, room next to road very noisy with traffic bathrooms too small expensive car parking
The hotel is great for the convenience of the location and comfort of accommodation. Concierge desk most helpful in planning our trips. Easy access to public transport and tours
Rooms were nice & room service excellent
Staff were adequate but didn't go out of their way
The room was a good size and comfortable. Nice to get two beds and free Internet was appreciated. (But not sure why free internet is so expensive if not Starwood member)
The service was weak because the staff seemed too busy. There were constant lines for everything and staff seemed harried they did not have time to be friendly. This made it seem less luxurious and like a vacation and more like a hostel.
Localization and hotel structure
Charged Wifi, One of the rooms didn´t have a frigobar
Proximity to shops around Whaft area, nice hotel setup.
Difficult to find for first timer, located in area where all hotels looks about the same.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Location, heated pool, vendo machine
Limited space to move around for room with two queen beds compared with the same hotel category.
We asked for a fridge and the got as one straight away
The bed top blanket had yellow and red stains on it
very clean and comfortable. Parking too expensive.
No free WIFI in rooms
Whilst we were there the power failed after a strong storm, and complications (the person fixing the power accidentally electrocuted himself and affected the hotel's panel) led to an extended delay on return of power. They refunded our first night and made the rest of the nights half price whilst the power was out, as well as had complimentary pastry breakfasts, with two power charging stations in the lobby. They made the best of a poor situation, and otherwise the hotel seemed great.
When we were evacuated outside there was no leadership and direction for us. We just milled about for a while then we all filtered back inside.
The hotel is within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and shops.
Need a hook for hand towel by wash basin.
Location, staff friendliness
We were offered $5 coupons to use as reward for using the "green" option which we were told about at check in and opted to use. When checking out we were told they could only be used if we had joined a program which we knew nothing about....disappointing. Also, we thought that opting for "green" related to linen and that we would have still had trash emptied and replenished coffee, cups and Kleenex which was not.
This was our honeymoon (I reiterated this to the clerk) and the Sheraton sent us to the dingy Holiday Inn with no comps. I would have expected to be sent to a nicer hotel with a discounted price.
The hotel was pretty average itself and nothing to real complain about.
The power went out in the evening of our first night. Everyone had to vacate the hotel and stand outside. The power was out the rest of the night and the whole next day. Miserable experience.
We arrived at the hotel, only to find that the power had been out for two days...no one called to notify us and the staff seemed confused and unhelpful. I understand that this was a difficult situation, but it was poorly dealt with and I will not be staying with the Sheraton again
Nice location of you are wanting to stay at the wharf. Rooms are nice and the holiday decor was nice.
We were evacuated 4 times due to the power being blown by PG&E from the time is 11pm to 1am. When we all reached the alley, most in pajamas there was zero direction. All of the guests were standing around wondering what to do and what was happening, there was not a worker to be found. Imagine if it was a real emergency. This happened on Friday night and by Saturday at 8pm the power still had not been restored, not their fault although I never found out why there were no backup generators. They refunded our entire stay and gave us a discounted rate at another hotel, the rate should have been the same as what I paid at the Sheraton but it was double the nightly Sheraton rate, thank goodness I only had 1 night remaining.
