Great time Fabulous staff Marcus from the towel hiring area and all the support staff firemen and paramedics included were fantastic when my wife collapsed Very caring and professional Yes!! She was fine!! Not enough food or water So yes excellent service
Uncomfortable beds and pillows. Very expensive drinks and food. Few unbrellas near pool. Staff used to trim shrubs during the day so pool became all dirty and area so noisy!
Location is perfect and lots to do on resort.
Rooms are dated and need an upgrade. Felt that the rooms were overpriced.
My girlfriend and I stayed at this wonderful resort for 11 days this August. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Yes, the restaurants in the resort are on the pricier side, but that is expected. Rooms could be updated, but they were large, clean and comfortable. Enterprise rent-a-car is located on site so you can get a car for only a few days if you want to and return it without and hassle. We really enjoyed our stay and will do it again for sure.
Rooms should be updated for the price. Compared to let's say Encore in Las Vegas where rooms are much nicer for almost half the price, these rooms looked dated. Not sure why they need carpet in the rooms. Having some nice tiles would make the room feel lighter, brighter and cleaner and it would be easier to maintain.
Beautiful Hotel Great Location Resort fee covered parking and internet Great hotel for a splurge vacation
Uncomfortable Mattress Over priced Weren't accommodating when we wanted to move to a higher floor because of the hurricane. Would have liked a meal plan option for breakfast
The staff was excellent. Everyone we interacted with was lovely and helpful.
I wished there had been more hot tubs and bars open!
Beach was excellent, coral reef was at end of beach, rooms were good size and clean
They charge extras for everything- for internet, etc that are provided free at other places.
If you love to snorkel, like we do, you must stay here. It is right at the Black Rock, which is where everyone else on the beach has to trudge down to to snorkel. We snorkeled every day, saw giant tame sea turtles and fish aplenty, and loved it!
The grounds are very nice, but the food is unremarkable and expensive. ($30 breakfast buffet, really?!) Walk 10 minutes down the beach for lunch at fun shopping center Whaler's Village, which is a bit better. The bed was okay, but not as comfy as a Hilton bed & pool could use a resurface (though it looks fine above water). Still, perfect location for snorkeling by the black rock & I would stay again.
Front desk upgraded to pool side ocean.
Bathroom showers a bit old
Great location, good friendly staff.
The cost of food and beverages. It was over the top. Would bet you would double your sales should your adjust your pricing downward. We ate and drank off property as much as possible.
The pool area and activities staff was awesome! Especially Chase and Larry! Food was excellent.
My in room Black Rock Times was outdated and the restaurant specials were no longer available. When I spoke to customer service about it, she didn't even know what in room magazine I was talking about and there were no menus in the room for the resorts restaurants. Additionally, the app is much too difficult to use. It is slow and having to login in each time you use it is very inconvenient considering the point of the app is to aid in convenience.
location is great. Daily we saw humpback whales from the balcony (ocean front room in April). Nice beach for swimming and snorkeling.
pool and beach are crowded. We stayed at the beach north of the black rock.
We had a wonderful vacation! The location on Ka'anapali beach is terrific, close to everything but not in the middle of things. Our resort view room had a lovely north view of the grounds and beach. We preferred it to overlooking the pools, as it was quiet and peaceful. Morning sun, no afternoon heat. We liked the nightly cliff divers, watching right from the Cliff Dive Grill while enjoying the grilled kabobs & happy hour cocktails.
We had two problems with the room - the shower faucet was broken and the AC stopped day 2. Both were fixed promptly, but an inconvenience none-the-less. They need to get rid of the birds in the dining areas, they are unsanitary pests.
I loved the location the best thing because you had whalers village next to you with lots of different restaurants to choose from and many nice shops, and I also like the resort pretty much because it had wonderful views of the beach and lots of Palm trees.
The furniture was pretty old in the rooms, they should renew and the bathroom wasn't that clean. and there were so many fees for everything.
beach and bars
dirty rooms bathroom staff too big and too easy to get lost Price
It's a wondderful experience. The room is big and clean, the beach is beautiful.
A true paradise. Watching the whales from the beach. A beautiful pool, great beach with entertainment
That we had to leave
very relaxed atmosphere.
they preauthed my credit card each time i utilised the restaurant even though i paid cash.
Position on the beach at Blackrock
The room descriptions are misleading. We booked a deluxe ocean view room and that was not what we were given initially. It was more a dodgy building view room. It was resolved after complaining, but that should not be necessary.
Great access to the black rock beach area.
Employees are not always perfectly nice and kind.
We loved the ceremony each evening, also the shuttle was a terrific asset. Our bed was very comfortable too and the maid service was excellent. The location was perfect for restaurants and shopping.
We really didn't like the excessive charge for the chairs and umbrellas , very mean considering we had already paid a resort charge.also the lift was broken at one stage for the whole week which made life very slow to get from one end to the other of the resort, breakfast also was overpriced and not brilliant, and the bathroom of our deluxe room was very out of date and tired looking. The pool was lovely but a little scruffy in the water and full of many many kids.
