Waterfront view along with restaurant at the hotel.
Most business in Waterside Market were closed. Had to walk 3 blocks to McArthur mall.
We visited during Labor Day weekend and had a great time. Watching fireworks from roof top of the hotel. The entire experience at this hotel was awesome. Meme (sp) from the restaurant was the best!! I recommend This hotel to all. If you can stay on the club room floor...
Easy check in. Assistance with bags. Comfortable beds. Fairly close distance to base and airport
The bathroom was dirty. Hair on the floor, dirty toilet. Like the cleaning crew just put in New towels and didn't bother to clean. We were exhausted after an international flight and had a lot of luggage or else we would have changed rooms. Also we ordered room service due to our exhaustion and the prices were ridiculous and then they got my daughter's order wrong and it was cold and then charged a $12 service fee.
The beds, they were very comfortable.
I booked a king bed room with a water view. It wqs to celebrate my engagement to my fiance. They gave us a double bed room with a view of the room where there is a/c units. We switched rooms and it was still a double bed room. It was a disaster unloading the car and getting help with the luggage. It took over and hour to just get to the first room so after being sent to the 2nd wrong room we decided not to change again and deal with it. The shower bar was very loose and unable to be used. It was not a good experience.
View from Room of harbor.
Bed mattress has not been turned in a long time. Leaning towards the nightstand because everyone sleeps on that side. Saw it as soon as walked into room. Bathroom toilet seat was mounted incorrectly, off to one side and too far back. Lid and seat would not stay up. Picking up seat with right hand was very difficult because seat was off to one side. Sink drain was WAY too slow. Hot water took too long to arrive at faucet. Parking was in separate building. During the on-line reservation process my wife got the impression that breakfast was included. It was not! One diner at hotel was fine, service good. Drinks weak!!!
We loved everything about the hotel it was a convenience we where there for the Spirit of Norfolk
There was nothing we didn't like everything was great
The price was right. The room was nice.
House keeping did not clean my room after the first night. The heating/cooling system started banging around 3:00am both mornings that I was there.
Everything was great!
Walking distance to shopping, movies, ferry, dining, etc.
Pool was dirty. Staff did not tell us we had to pay for parking even when we asked. Mattress was lumpy and very worn. Headboard fabric was even torn. Chair in room had black arms and furniture dated.
The view at City Dock in the morning while eating breakfast was pretty awesome, able to see a variety of boats pass by.
The disgusting stains on the pillows, pulling random black hairs from the bed sheets, dirty water glasses, my husband and I weren't to fond of the lack of cleanliness for the money we paid, not to mention the cost of a simple meal was outrageous.
Great Location, comfortable accommodations and friendly helpful staff.
For the price of the room... It would have been nice to have Coffee in the lobby until Noon. Better yet, have a Coffee store available all day.
The hotel is in Norfolk.
A dog was barking for the two nights we were their and the parking deck is a long walk from the hotel. The bed in our room was not bolted to the wall and would tip up when someone sat on the edge. Their is no microwave or fridge in the rooms.
Got room at last minute. Previously booked hotel claimed we canceled our Res. Sheraton was far superior and will stay there next time we are passing thru Norfolk.
We have a F250 which would not fit in the parking garage so the hotel does allow you the valet parking for the same price as the garage due to being oversized.
Beds were to soft.
Room was beautiful. Clean and comfortable.
I didn't like that I had to pay for Wi-Fi. I have stayed in cheaper hotels and got free Wi-Fi.
Location was great.
Very small patches of the bathroom's wall had no painting. For the price paid, the appearance of the bathroom needs to be maintained.
The GREAT view from our harbor side room. The staff. The restaurant. Location. bed. Starbuck's Coffee!!
Paying for parking. Paying for WIFI. No Laundry facilities as advertised on the website.
Centered near local events
The staff was helpful and respectful from the front desk, vallet, and house keeping. We enjoyed our stay and when traveling back to Norfolk I want stay anywhere but the Waterside Sheraton.
There isn't anything not to like with this hotel.
Great Location! I absolutely love the location.
There were a couple of problems though, the entire time we were there, we heard the air conditioner doing something weird(It was like a banging noise mixed with water running). At first we thought it was coming from outside then we realized it was coming from the place where the air conditioning system is. It was quite annoying and we heard it our entire stay! Pros- Location, Beds, View, Joes Crab Shack is two minutes away Cons- Paying for Wi-fi, Air conditioner defective, Paying for parking, not worth the cost. The only thing your really paying for is the location, I didn't see where there was anything Great about this hotel. We will probably try another hotel on our next occasion.
We happened to stay the weekend that they had a festival and parade. The kids got to see dancing and music from different cultures. The bed was amazingly comfortable. When we decided to switch hotels they said their was no charge and we would get refunded the extra nights not used.
$170 a night and we had 2 full beds. Way to small for a family. There was a convention or something going on so there were so many people there. The pool was small. When I called it was like jumping through hoops to get to the reservation desk. The woman in charge was very short on the phone and not very helpful. When checking in they gave me someone else key.
The room was clean except the windows.
Parking was terrible, far away and inconvenient. The bed was very uncomfortable. Not quite as nice as the website showed.
The location along the river was great. The place was clean, room was quiet, and everything worked well. Overall a positive experience.
I was unaware that parking was an extra $24/day for valet or $12/day to self park a half block away. Also, the food in the restaurant was good, but the waitress was not. I asked for a chardonnay to go with my seafood pasta, but got a red wine. She finally brought the correct wine, but I was almost done eating by then. Then she never came back, except to bring the bill, so I did not order a second glass. Paid the bill and walked to another place for 1 more drink. Breakfast was great and that waitress was AMAZING!
I really like location Things to do in the area
