Rooms were amazing, staff was great. Very clean, very comfortable, very private. Great place to stay.
The restuarant had an older crowd, with an older feel. Friday night at prime time, there was no one there. only 3 different wines and be careful, wait staff does not know the difference. Food was alright, little over pricey.
Good place to hang out with family and friends.
Parking lot keycard did not always work for entering or existing.
location which was perfect for walking to Stanford and downtown Palo Alto. Also right next door there were cafes, coffee shops, bakery's and Trader Joe's. Staff was very accomodating and willing to please in any way possible.
The construction was going on to extend the lobby bar and have wine tasting but of course it wasn't quite done yet so no lobby and no drinks inside the hotel. However, the Westin next door was wonderful and is a sister property so we had the use of their bar and lobby which was very nice.
Excellent location, excellent pool, free WiFi, excellent breakfast, low price.
The hotel attracts groups and if the groups include young people between 10 and 16 years of age, they can be noisy in the halls at night. Ask to be placed in a room away from groups with kids.
Leaving the hotel.
Put us in room across from houskeeping station. Cleaning carts always in the hall. Could see all the dirty linen through the door. Lots of talking and door banging by staff even after 10 pm. Will not stay here again.
Perfect comfort, great bed, great duvet, and the burger I had by the pool was fantastic. Even the Wifi worked well. I was positively surprised.
Welcome to the 1970s. I believe they are refurbishing the place now but woah I have never been anywhere which looked that dated but still ran well and so I won't judge based on decor. The price was shockingly high for a 3* but these are Palo Alto prices and it's not a fair comparison.
Outstanding staff just made our stay wonderful!! We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Palo Alto'
Low toilets. made it difficult for us older people to get up and down. A very minor issue.
The staff was helpful!!
1st room smelled like cat urine and we asked to be moved and staff did so, just think not ALL rooms need to be animal friendly!!!!
We liked the location which is close to trains and walking in town. The bed & pillows were nice too.
I had read other reviews and thought maybe they were lighter sleepers than us but the walls are thin. You could hear neighbours and people talking in the hallways very clearly. Also paying $16/night for parking?? Was a little pricey considering in town was free.
Friendly staff Great Location Tranquil Setting Pet Friendly (I have a ESA)
Lobby under major construction. Pool needs to be cleaned, the bottom of it was filthy.
Location to the Caltrain station was perfect. Room faced interior water garden court. Staff attentive to resolving minor problems when brought to their attention.
Stayed during Christmas eve & night - the holiday meal served at the onsite restaurant was not worth the $90. We had meals at half the price that were superior in quality.
I left a few things at the hotel and they found it for me right away.
the lobby is under construction and very uncomfortable. Parking was $14. and I think it should have been free.
no bar, no amenities
Bed is excellent. Proximity to CalTrain and Stanford Campus.
Plumbing from neighboring rooms very audible.
It seems absurd to charge for wi fi service especially in the Silicon Valley! All hotels are now offering free wi fi so why isn't the Sheraton who is a large chain? Obviously I did not pay for it. Get with the times!
Pay for internet in palo alto gotta be kidding...
Pool and fitness room
Boarded off lobby under repair
Everyone that we encountered was extremely helpful and kind.
Facility was clean. Bed was comfortable.
Charging 14.00 to self park is a little sneaky. I'd rather you just be upfront with the true price of the room and include parking. I felt like I was misled when I booked the room and was quoted the price.
Customer service & location
the cost. it was very expensive for a mediocre hotel.
The food and the staff
The fact that there was no cancellation
noise old rooms
* Very convenient location for Downtown Palo Alto and Stanford (close to Caltrain, Stanford shuttle, or just walk) * Nice box with multiple electric & USB outlets on the desk
* The bathroom: has a sliding door, so it doesn't close all the way!(?) No hooks on the wall, so nothing to hang towels or clothes on. And very little space around the sink for your stuff. * No electric outlets near the bed, so you can't have your phone nearby & charge it. * One small closet, in an inconvenient location -- near the bed, instead of at the entrance. * On my second night, I discovered that the towels I used the previous day were taken, but not replaced. Only the small face towels were left. * Loud music coming from the pool throughout the night. I called the desk around 4am and they turned it off, eventually. * $10/day for Wifi? In the heart of Silicon Valley? in 2014? * If you book through booking.com, you can't get United MileagePlus points.
