The location. It was very nice and pleasant.
The placement of the elevator. There should be another elevator for the convenience of the customers who are on the opposite side of the hotel.

I really liked everything about it. I would certainly go back again if I had the chance or saw a great deal.
It was a long walk to get some ice, had to walk to other side of building, go up a floor, then travel to a corner to find the nearest ice machine.

Can't remember anything I liked because so sleep deprived from the loud heating system. Four of us in the room. Not one person slept!
Loud heating system - shut on and off was so loud you'd awake in a panic if you were asleep then this process repeated all night long. Marathon the next day. Place a disaster. And pool had no hot tub.
Poor Wi Fi access Noisy airconditioner
The location was excellent- in the heart of Society Hill near restaurants and walking to South Street. Had a neighborhood feel hidden away from traffic and highways.
Amenities were lacking compared to my previous stay at the Hyatt Penn's Landing (very close by). The overall stay was very average if not a bit below. It was all the little stuff that finally added up and made our stay less than satisfactory. We had to ask for a mini-fridge in the room (most have them as a basic amenity), the heating system in the room was very very loud when kicking on and off (disturbed our sleep), we found large spider in our room on the first night, and worst of all we had to call housekeeping 3 times to come and clean our room, vacuum, and make the beds. It's one thing for housekeeping NOT due to "green" housekeeping rules but, to leave the floor a mess and the beds unmade for 2 days was unacceptable. Even after we called the 2nd time they still did not come when we asked. We had to twice in one day to ensure they came to clean and vacuum. Additionally, the T.V was terrible quality and didn't work when we first got there. They finally fixed it but the picture was still not clear for all 3 nights we stayed. Also, the phone never worked except to call "0" for the operator. When we wanted to order room service it took 3 times being transferred before they answered. They stopped serving food at 11pm but the front desk gave us NO options for delivery services when we called to find out where in the area we could get food. Overall, not helpful with recommendations. Downstairs, the coffee we ordered in the morning was always cold and the "Starbucks" options lacking- we had to ask to get our beverages reheated in a microwave (only to get lukewarm). Lastly, the Internet was a big problem. Even getting a more expensive room you had to pay an extra $10 per day for "fast" service. Without paying the $10 it was slow and kept kicking you off. If you got the basic room fast Internet was $25.

The location is great, in the middle of the Old town on a very quite street, by Penn's Landing and South street (where a lot or restaurants are) and few blocks from downtown Philadelphia. The hotel is a bit old but has a nice layout and the rooms are spacious. A convenient Starbucks is located in the lobby, for those who don't want to purchase the breakfast package.
No hot tub despite the very large pool and a very old heating system -we actually asked twice to change room because of some annoying noise that was coming from the radiators. The tv in our room had only few channels available.

The staff was excellent and the facility was beautiful.
Room 4040 had a large gap between the floor and the door. It allowed a glare at night from the hallway light right onto the bed. We ended up having to put a towel down to block the light it was so bad.
We stayed at the Sheraton after selling our house in the neighborhood and waiting for our apartment to be available. In fact, we were there on three separate occasions over the course of two months. More space in the room would have been appreciated but otherwise, the room, the bed, etc. were all fine.
I don't like paying for WiFi. It seems really small minded on the part of the hotel. Also, we were underwhelmed by the food options on the concierge floor and actually opted out. But we know the neighborhood, so the hotel's food played a small role.
Location, location, location
Cleanliness. We were two couples, two rooms. Both rooms were equally not good. The rim under the sink unit was filthy with black gunk (best description). Each room had glass topped tables. Finger marks were evident on our arrival, and 3 nights later they had not been removed. There was longstanding dust at the back of the bedside tables (also glass) which was visible, and obviously overlooked by the cleaning staff. On one occasion I reported rubbish left in our corridor by the maid (as she was there when the rubbish was, and left there when she left). There was a tray with glasses on outside our room on our arrival and still there a day later. Each of these I reported to the reception staff. We didn't have robes, shower gel or shampoo on arrival and had to ask reception. Eventually we were given a lunch on the day of departure as compensation. I would not recommend this hotel.
The location was perfect for our desire to walk to numerous attractions. All the staff were wonderful. Diane was delightful in helping us find a great restaurant for dinner -- and we got a free dessert because of her referral.
There was no vent in the bathroom and the outlet for the hair dryer didn't work. I mentioned the first item at checkout. The food at breakfast was just okay and expensive.

The air conditioning was very noisy.
Very very close to Penn's Landing.
Very noisy air conditioning kept banging and keeping us awake. Ants,spiders and wood lice were sharing the room with us. The iron was broken and though the labels were there offering them the complimentary robes were not. No minibar or fridge, no tea and both the coffee sachets and bottle of water had price tags attached.
