Loved Axis food and delivery -excellent $ & delicious. In house Oriental Restaurant $$, but very enjoyable & welcoming.-excellent Taxi stop out front - great & convenient for our HUP visits, etc.
Parking cost -- but we realized. it is costly all over Philly. We are not use to the cost being from a small town.
The bed was heavenly; the food in the restaurant was very good
Nice location. I study at Drexel, so its very convenient for me to go there to see my parents.
The AC was broken when we checked in. I told the front desk and the lady said somebody will go and fix it.I told them three times, But the truth is nobody ever showed up. I was so pissed.
No coffee in lobby
No restroom in the lobby . No hot water in the morning.
From check-in to check-out I was sincerely impressed with my experience. The staff in the lobby were very attentive and warm, as was the staff member who answered a question when I called the operator from my room. The room was large (King-size bed room), well-lit, and clean. I worked at the desk in the room the entire night - the wifi was reliable and easy to connect to. The bed was clean and as comfortable as I could have hoped. I slept great and woke up feeling rested. Due to its proximity to where I had to be the following day, I would absolutely stay again, great value for the experience.
Overnight parking is 25$, about the going rate for parking your car in a lot overnight in Philly.
The heating system in the room was hard to control, it was either too hot or too cold.
I was in town for a couple of days for meetings at UPenn. The hotel was ideally located for that, although quite far from the Downtown area if that where you want to go (just a short taxi ride though). Room was beautiful - clean, comfortable (especially the pillows) and warm. Staff were friendly and wifi was free and super fast. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my colleagues.
My only one minor criticism was the shower, which was more of a dribble. It was room 1423, you may want to get a plumber to take a look :)
Value/money Room service (disposable plates and cutlery in a $400/night hotel??!!) Shower water pressure
Convenience to the college campus for a family visit
The bed , it sagged in the middle
Cost for hotels in University City are outrageous for people who aren't wealthy. I hardly stay in my room only need something on campus.
no Breakfast !!
The availability for in hotel meals was very poor.
GOOD LOCATION. RESTAURANTS ARE EVERYWHERE. ENTERPRISE IS JUST MINUTES' WALK.
STAFF IS NOT SO GOOD AS OTHERS'
very helpful and kind receptionists
I like the convenience to where I needed to be. I liked the treatment I received from the staff. I liked the cleanliness of the hotel. This hotel is an excellent if you are visiting UPENN or Drexel Univ. The staff is courteous and very helpful. The food delivery from Axis is great!
There is a nice outdoor pool, the club lounge is nice. The staff is friendly, the location, if you need to be at Penn, is superb. There is a garage built into the building, there is an Asian restaurant on the ground floor that's pretty good. If there is something missing from your room, they will bring it.
It's not very clean, the restaurant downstairs is not open long enough, no room service, the staff isn't helpful when something goes wrong, either something major (the electricity went out for several hours) or something minor (your room isn't ready yet). They are friendly and sympathetic, but not actually helpful, and they don't seem to know the difference.
Location near H. U. P>
Food. Also the extra pay for Sunday does not mean the Club Room is open even 'tho the rate is the same as on Monday when it is open.
Location, location, location. Staff was friendly , hotel was clean, nice pool. We stay for 1 night and didn't have time to explore all of hotel facilities .
The restaurant , food was terrible , children just left every thing untouched .For hotel that nice it was unpleasant surprise .It was Asian place.
Location to the university
No refrigerator or microwave in the room.Loud AC unit in room, made sound sleeping difficult
clean-efficient-quiet-friendly-and the beds and bedding were incredibly comfy and plush
Proximity to UPenn and walkable to the train station.
One of the concierge was not very helpful.
Everything was great.
I had trouble with the wi-fi. I could not get consistent connection and sending emails was painfully slow.
It was very convienent to stay there. Everything was walking distance from the events we were going to. The staff provided us with all the info we needed to get around. The had complimentary breakfast and appetizers with the room we chose to stay in. The pool was not to big but just right. But I will definitely stay there again. We also cud see the different fireworks from our room.......
The only thing I didn't like was the pool was freezing cold. And the elevators take forever.
