Score from 423 reviews Very good
Great location obviously. Staff at the Club was very nice and always willing to help.
Some of the pool staff was rude.
This resort used to be a little snooty, so I was amazed to be greeted as I got out of the parking elevator, and at several points along the walk to reception. I'm a low-points SPG member, but Justin at the front desk was remarkable with responsiveness, friendliness, and giving me the best possible room and service. Nice shift, Sheraton!
Separate pools!! "The Edge" pool- no kids, cocktail service poolside, floaty bean bags. Kids pool was a kids pool, children did not migrate to the adult pool which was nice. The consi- was helpful and efficient. Good location if you are into the hustle and bustle of city life, and shopping at high dollar lux stores.
The $$ spent on the room was only worth it for the pool. The room was not what we expected and seemed incomplete and not as clean as you would expect. I guess you could consider it , just a place to sleep. no different than a motel 6. You're paying for the location, balcony with "semi views" and an iPAD that is only programmed to show you limited information about the hotel. Only messed up thing about the pool... Pool staff allows people to come down EARLY in the morning (6-7am) to "reserve" the regular pool chairs by putting down towels/newspapers/ water bottles to claim their chair...only to come down after 11am or later. The people who were present and actively enjoying the pool were not able to lay down and relax. Not cool, first come- first served!! if they want the reserved seating pay the $60 bux.
Staff at this hotel are very rude.I don't think the employees ever received proper customer service training.
The hotel food was a bit expensive and we were able to get larger portions of good food elsewhere. The pool lounges need better management - I had to get up before 7am to secure a pool lounge and couldn't be away from it for more than 1-2 hours otherwise it would be given away. The Sheraton needs to set up a booking system so all patrons can have a turn (maybe 2 hour time slots)........so we were lucky enough to get a pool lounge for the last three days that we didn't leave the resort and could sit on a bean bag in the infinity pool and watch the sun set....magic! Very small gripes - a perfect place to stay in a perfect location with perfect weather....and such a comfortable bed!
It was fantastic
There is no beach at this location. Pools n chaise area is too small for the size of the hotel. People start marking pool side chairs as their location at 7 am and do not show up till 11am or later.
The pool bean bags were fun. Very close to shops etc which was handy.
Not directly on the beach- beach access is for the 2 hotels on either side. Also the man on concierge was very rude when we tried to get info on the hotel NYE event and nearby shops - VERY off putting ...
Great location, but when we arrived we were just given our room key and had no guidance as to where we were going to our room. Given that we had a family of 5 we had a lot of luggage. No help whatsoever!
Location is good. Pool is nice. Staff are professional ice room.
No USB sockets for charging. Full ocean view room cost extra but was just at the side, not facing the ocean. Still it was a nice view. Cost is more than advertised when the add tax and charges. One cannot cancel a day in advance as with most booking.com hotels.
ocean view room has a gorgeous view of sunset good in room service bathroom has shutters which open up to the sea view Great position near the shops
not very luxurious, no robes, no minibar, broken bottle opener in the room and had to ask 3 times before someone would bring one all lounges in pool area "in use" where people seem to put their towels on them and then disappear, so none available
Doorman, front office, housekeeping and all FB staff were great. I've worked for Fairmont quite a while and know a great team When I see one. Great work Sheraton Waikiki staff.
No water for check out at front door. Wanted a 1pm check out and was told 25$ or 75$ for a 2pm. I paid 300+ a night n needed an extra hour or two before heading the airport. They did off a hospitality room but felt this wasn't enough. Also didn't like the fact that there was 100 sun chairs on the west pool with towels on then but only 40-50 people at the pool. We couldn't even sit down and have the chairs weren't even being used. Maybe you should let guest know at check in if their finished with their chairs to please remove the pool deck chairs.
- very good location - great services - staff helpful
- higher prices but average for Honolulu
Pool/grounds, rum fire, proximity to shops and restaurants, staff are always helpful, gym is excellent.
More space near the infinity pool for additional chairs... not sure where it'll come from though!
You are paying for the view here. The rooms themselves are not worth the $500 / night we paid for ours. The pool and bars our very nice. Being on the beach... priceless
Fridge in room was broken. light bulbs in bathroom were burned out. our door lock broke and had to be replaced. maybe just our bad luck. Laundry machines our coin op and they look like they are from the 60's. Took hours and a lot of silver dollars to dry a normal load of clothing.
Service was terrible The concierge had no idea about any transports a instead gave us a brochure to read. No service received to help enjoy our stay.
Breakfasts to die for....infinity pool a huge attraction
The hotel is right off the beach so access is really easy. It's near the upscale shopping and restaurants if you like that sort of thing. I liked the hot tub at night.
The service wasn't that good for what you pay. There was a small problem with our bathroom fan but getting them to fix it and trying to find out whether they attempted to do so or not was a hassle. The swimming pools are not very good. The hotel has all these gimmicks that they try to employ to get more money ("free" gifts, "free" photos etc). This cheapens the feel of your stay, makes you feel like a consumer and not a customer, and is annoying.
The choice of having a pool (infinity pool) that didn't allow kids under 16. Infinity pool side cabana is excellent option and excellent price. Room is clean. Excellent fitness facility and the free guest fitness classes in the morning at the infinity pool. The staff are very friendly. Location is excellent.
Kids coming into the infinity pool area, even with parental supervision. Sheraton rates are very expensive, particularly in the 'summer vacation' period. For the price of the stay, the room was quite run down. Bits and pieces of the room were coming apart or wearing away. Understand not everyone can have a room with a Waikiki beach view, but if you are paying a lot of money for minimal stay, you need 'a beach view'. Otherwise, charge a much lower room rate. The television is quite small.
Travel desk is superb.
Bell desk is not very friendly
Pleasant service, fast checking/check out. Would stay again :-)
We ended up with a shared room which does not have a private balcony.
Very nice pool area, prob the best in the area. Prime location. Right next to shops. Friendly staff. Beautiful beach and icean views! Good food.
Didn't bother me too much but the upleep of the halls, doors and walls could be better. This didn't matter as much vecause the overall benefit of the place outweighs it.
Infinity pool, breakfast, rum bar
Check -in took too long
Location was good.
Busy. Misleading description - Hotel is ocean front, but does not really have a beach out front! Paying extra for a room for 3 people but only being given breakfast vouchers for 2!
waikiki beach view
