Score from 47 reviews Good
Clean room, and spacious enough to fit a family of six (we have four children ranging from 12 years old to 3). Of course a couple of them had to sleep on the carpet, but since we brought our sleeping bag, and the Inn gave us additional pillows and towels - they slept fine. The carpet was rather brand new. Breakfast spread was good (for the price that we paid for the room, it was value for money). And no problem with internet connection at all. It was pretty fast. We stayed in room 103.
Honestly, nothing to complain. A worthwhile place to stay for the night before continuing the journey.
Took 24 hours to get heat.
Pet friendlyness, breakfast, comfortable bed
Paint peeling on wall behind toilet due to splashing from shower. This is a very common problem with shower curtains. Maybe a piece of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) would solve the problem.
Location the girl at the front desk
So the dark dirty lightbulb broken updated TVs old rooms old bedding real old take this one off your list of places to stay would not recommend this place
Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great loved the fact that they had Milk in cartons! Easy access. I like the locks access to the rooms. Very clean area.
The Hallways smelled of cigarettes. TV was really outdated and the remote didn't work. Furniture has seen it's days, need to upgrade. The Beds were too hard for ours old bones.
Very loud guests dark entry to the hotel rooms and poor signage to find rooms
Location close to freeway exit, north end of Grants Pass. 10% off at Brown Bear Diner right next door. Killer Taco Salad!!
Sort of funky locks on outside hall doors
We stayed here on short notice due to a family emergency. The staff was so friendly! We enjoyed our stay and this will always be our choice of stays anytime we have an overnight in the area!
The pool was closed 2 hours before it was supposed to be:( the kiddos had been looking forward to a swim all day and were super bummed! Also, a mini frig would be a great addition to the rooms. :)
Beds too hard Musty Smell
Staff was very personable and helpful. Rooms were clean. Very close to freeway and places to eat if you desire . Quiet end of town.would book there again.
Room was confy and all you could expect of a classic motel
The breakfast was a few muffins and chemical pancakes served in a tiny office room with no space and no air. The drinks were bottles in a fridge, I'll stay in another hotel just because of this.
staff was helpful.
It's appearance was very run down. The beds actually had a slant and mattress was very hard.
Clean, quiet, nice, comfortable, just off the freeway.
Accommodating our request for a quiet room.
Crowed breakfast room, So took ours back to our room.
cleanliness, staff was awesome
the air conditioner started screaming at 3 am so no sleep because when we turned it off it got warm, could not tell anyone because we had to leave early.
The free breakfast.
The pool looked disgusting and the nonsmoking room smelled like smoke. It was dark and creepy - very old and dated facility.
Overall facility was solid and very much liked the coffee and breakfast. Staff was courteous and Accomadating....excellent.
Lobby smell was terrible, musty and very outdated. Hallways were dark and carpeting was very dark. No pictures and a bright paint job in rooms and hallways would make this a very excellent place.
Clean, quiet, comfortable,especially the bed
value and the breakfast was great
a bit outdated, but comfortable
First just accepting one of our four legged family members is great. Being close to everything in town and just off freeway is kudos. Most of all your front desk staff was super special.
The spa wasn't working. It was cold
Unfortunately nothing. I have never given such a poor review but the property was in very sad shape.
Room was not clean. Other guest hair in the sheets. dust and dirt behind the door and around all of the edges. Pool heater was not turned on and the pool was unable to be used by all guest. Wi-Fi very very sketchy and unable to hold a connection. Room that was reserved was not the room given and told that the hotel did not even have a pull out as described over the 800 number. The breakfast and room to eat in were both in dire need of repairs and better quality of food. I will never stay at another Shilo if this is true of all the hotels.
Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and good water pressure in showers.
Breakfast room a little too crowded so we took the good to go and ate in our room.
I liked the fact that as a veteran I was given some preferential treatment. If the same holds true for all/other Shilo Inns, I'll definitely be back.
