VERY PLEASANT & RELAXING ATMOSPHERE! EXCELLENT COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST.
Clean and roomy. Very nice breakfast✳pool and jaquzzi above average.cleaning room service Judith was exceptional.Says my wife.
reception clerk not very accommodating. Three days trying to change rooms closer to pool gave up. WE STAYED there 9days could not be any further away if we tried.breakfast service hit &miss
Booked a room for 2 adults and 3 children, ages 4, 9 and 11. The room had one bed. Shilo would not trade room to give us 2 beds. They insisted we pay for a roll away.
Every thing was great except the day time front desk woman
Daytime front desk woman was grumpy and never smiled
price was great for location
wet spot on floor
The buffet breakfast was in the restaurant.Food was replenished timely. Liked having a waitress on hand. Near Kohls, and Trader Joe's.Loved the gazebo and overall landscape of the Shilo.
The shower drain drained quite slowly.
Hard bed, and somewhat clean...needs improvement in decor, overall just o.k.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Very professional.
The back wing where I stayed needs to be updated (keyless locks, etc.). I felt I was back in the 80's.
Location and Food was good.
Facility is old and worn out. Needs to be remodeled.
I liked the fact that the price was good and that it was located fairly close to the zoo. The WIFI worked well for us, the staff said she was giving us a room with stronger service than some of the others. The staff was quick to come unplug the toilet and clean the floor but didn't offer to give us a different room.
The room smelled like someone was smoking in it and tried to cover it up with room freshener. The curtain sheers had cigarette burns in them. The carpet was old and worn (maybe dirty, maybe just stained). The bed was visibly worn out where your body goes and higher at the foot of the bed, kind of lumpy to sleep on. The toilet was an old low flow toilet with a very small seat. Frankly, I wasn't surprised when it got plugged before we even unpacked. There was a gross sticky oily residue on the shower handle when I turned it on. We were so grossed out by this place we skipped their complimentary breakfast in the restaurant that was across from the bar which caused the entrance to smell like cigars and smoke.
Friendly staff, clean room. Great free breakfast.
Needs a deep cleaning.
Old facility. Doors didn't seal and noise and daylight came right through. Definitely needs updating. The price was way too high for the room we had. Looked like maybe there were newer units elsewhere on the property, but ours was very bad.
Cheap and available. Fair all the way around. Near car dealers and on a main road if that's what you need.
Basic surface clean but the rest is badly in need of a deep cleaning. Limited electrical plugs so looked behind bed table - yuck. Had perfumed air freshener or something to try and mask the dirty, musty smells. Dark 1980 decor looking very worn. Broken sliding door lock had a plastic pipe in track to lock. Popcorn ceiling.
The staff was kind and friendly. It was in a convenient location for going other places - north or south. It was a pleasant stay.
Sometimes the cleaning crew was short staffed and our didn't get cleaned until late afternoon. But it did get cleaned.
A/C wasn't working properly. Room had terrible odor. Out-dated décor. Not given a room with 2 beds as reserved. Instead, given an awful handicapped, 1 bed apt. No snacks/water to buy in room.
We loved it here! The pool was empty when we went swimming, which was awesome because we have a toddler. We didn't have to worry about him getting splashed crazy or anything... The restaurant was delicious!!! My husband and I had the fried chicken for two( it was like grandma cooked it!) we also had a yummy bottle of wine. Everything was reasonably priced. When I booked it said there was no meal allowance, which was incorrect. We got to have a complimentary buffet that was pretty tasty! When we come to portland again, we will be staying here! We had a great time
The bed was a little too soft for us, we are used to firm. Our backs were a little sore when we got up on the morning
Jane, the stewardess at the Mark's restaurant is amazing, very helpful , very pleasant always made us feel at home. Their buffet breakfast is the best deal you can get..Best value for money when u get a room tht accomodates 4 people plus a very heart buffet breakfast is included. Spacious room that can sleep 4. the garden area n the swimming pool were great additions, lots of parking and a very good location..Easy drive to the downtown.
Great price Best continental Breakfast
Our room smelled like smoke. A lot of smokers in the parking lot when loading and I have a child with asthma
The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I've had. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel is very cute and quaint.
If you had a room on the bottom floor, it was likely to hear creaking from people walking on the floor above.
The facility was very nice--loved the gazebo by the pond. The restaurant was excellent---first time I had fried chicken in years. Staff was extremely friendly in the hotel and restaurant. I had a nice and relaxing time.
Easy ride by bus to city or Max station
Dated furnishings for the price
The complimentary breakfast was great! The hotel itself is dated but the price is very reasonable.
You wouldn't know you were in the busy city when you're staying here. It's a beautiful woodsy setting that is serine. The restaurant is very good (I had the fried chicken one night and the steak another) but not open late enough. Close to numerous activities be it shopping or sightseeing.
I was the only one at the restaurant the 2nd night. It took very long for the hostess to come out to seat me. Pillows were stiff. T.v. is box set with a horrible picture. Not fun for when you're trying to just zone out. Getting luggage to room can be a challenge due to the sloped driveway on one side of motel but the staff are very helpful if they're around.
Staff seem indifferent
