Floors were uneven. No drapes. Hole in carpeting. Noise from bar band. Steep stairs. Needs to be torn down.
Veryconvenient walking downstairs to Shananigans to enjoy my favorite band, Dublin 5. Food and drinks amazing !The hotel staff was very nice. The staff at Shanigans were always smiling. They were also extremely patient after closing time encouraging me to leave !!! Sorry I never want to leave after listening to the D5 !
Didnt like the sign out front said the band started at 9;30 when they actually started at 9.
The staff, both at the hotel and downstairs were top class. Angel in reception couldn't have been nicer or more helpful - made us feel right at home. And the bar staff were excellent, from the moment we got there we were treated like regulars
the closeness to the beach and boardwalk
having to walk up all the steps we were on 3rd floor and I had recent knee surgery and it was exhausting using steps. The hotel is old and leans
entrance, facilities out dated and worn.
The agent changed my room number to the lowest floor. Also helped me with my luggage.
The noise factors from the street,, notably garbage trucks, was unnecessarily loud. Also I assumed there were elevators in the building. There weren't.
Location, Lady at front desk(missed her name) was very helpful with local resturaunts, building is rather old but has lots of character, clean despite age
Parking- had extended cab, long bed pickup, very tight parking lot. We were placed on 3rd floor/attic, there is no elevator, could not get into bar/resturaunt below hotel, staff was very rude. Only one way in/out of building, had to walk around back side to alley on either side to access boardwalk. mi
location...right on the boardwalk above the best irish pub in the state
water pressure isn't the strongest
location on board walk
The location was excellant.
The beds need to be updated, as well as curtains need to be placed on the windows especially the "Oceanview" rooms as the lights from the boardwalk shine right into the windows all night.
It was clean and a place to lay our heads.
It was extremely old and it showed. The shower was very small. The sink, was just that, a sink....on 2 legs...nothing else.
I was extremely upset with this hotel. Their staff was not really friendly and their rooms were not maintained well. At first sight they look great but after further expection it was rather disappointing.
Convenient.. Nice front desk person. I think her name Angel
Dust bunnies on ceiling cracked paint in bathroom. Price for quality of the place. Being an older hotel really didn't matter
Location is very appealing. It is on 4th street which is close to the pier, and is steps away from the beach. Ample parking is available in the back of the hotel. The bathrooms were very well stocked with towels and washcloths. Lots of vending machines available. There is an ice machine on the first floor, with a dirty scoop that looks like it desperately needed cleaned. There is a delicious cafe right next door.
The hotel was musty and humid as soon as we walked in. When we were navigating through the ancient hallways, we both hoped that we hadn't just wasted our money on a huge mistake. Our room was incredibly small, with no storage space. Apparently, you're supposed to travel with your own hangers. For as much as they charge for the dumpy rooms, they could at least afford to replace the wet, sticky carpets. We walked with our shoes on the entire stay. The small refrigerator was a nice touch, but the ac unit either left it hot and stuffy or freezing cold, no in between. We turned down the covers and found hair and stains on the pillowcases, sheets, and comforter. We told the staff member a the front desk and the linens were changed by the time we came back to the room. This time, no hair and less stains. The bathroom was surprisingly clean, if you didn't look in the shower. If you are brave enough to take a shower, you will find it going from scalding hot to ice cold every 30 seconds (I wish I were exaggerating) The walls are paper thin and there are large cracks in between the door and frame, so expect to be woken up throughout the night. A very big disappointment. Thankfully, we were only there for 2 nights.
Right On The Boardwalk
RoomExtremely Small....No Elevator
very old, outdated and horrible water/shower conditions
Great value for money, great room, perfect location for exploring Ocean City
The price, the fact we could do ONE night instead of a 2 night requirement. The staff was very nice and very accomodating. The location was very convenient for our purpose. The boardwalk location was a nice novelty. I'd stay there again.
The table lamp was broken. The Tv remote had to be changed. The AC unit was so loud that I was awake most of the night - even tho we did appreciate the AC. The ceiling fan was not adjustable. The refrige was slanting downward so badly because of the old floor, nothing would stay on top of it - we dodn't even ry to use the inside. The carpets need to be replaced in the hallways. Even tho the building is old, it could have been more appealing. I am a remodeling contractor, so my opinion may be a bit bias even tho I am very accepting of unusual old circumstances. Mostly cosmetic fixes that's all - the rest of the building matters are do to its age - and that's OK.
Close to attractions and beach.
Loud music until 1:15am each night. Cleanup lasted till 2:30am. Bar directly under the hotel. Could hear music no matter what floor your on. Our room was directly above the bar, so sleep doesn't happen until after 2:30am.
Old, ran down hotel. Staff seemed to be inconvenienced by are requests and ocean front rooms were misleading, just a small dirty window to look out of..
The room was clean and comfortable and right on the boardwalk. We stepped outside our door and were right there on the beach. The staff was accomadating and very nice. We definitely would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
I loved the location. The staff was top notch. Any need we had were quickly dashed with smiling instant service....
There was only a shower. The building does show some signs of age.
The door lock key could not open had to find someone the employees each time came out to help they said they would give a discount but when I check out the maneger told me I could no give any discount because I had to pay to repair the lock
Close to the boardwalk and beach, good parking and we got to use our permit long after checking out
3 flights of stairs, AC was turned off when we arrived, discrepancy over check in time so we had to wait 2 hours to check in, very narrow halls made it difficult to carry belongings, no balconies or pool
If u are not going to be in the room much its a cheap place to sleep.
