The rooftop pool was a joke. It was steep getting up there. The water was very dark. There was only 1 chair and the other one was broken. No wonder there were no photos.
Great Location. Microwave and fridge. Water, coffee, tea in lobby. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Location was right in middle of things. 5 mins from, beach, bus station and shopping. Great Aloha omelette at Seaside Grill 1 min away.
No exercise room. Rooftop pool is dingy and remote and uninviting. Cockroaches.
Fair location. Excellent staff.
We loved the location, super close the to beach and the main strip of Waikiki. Friendly staff and there pineapple ice tea that is complimentary is to die for!
Tiny room for two, charging "complimentary" coffee for $2 each. None of stuff carried suitcase to the front. We had to carry and use the stairs. Horrible. Front desk doesn't remember customer's name even we went there for 1:check-in,2:question, 3:delivery pick-up. Nametag has《supervisor》doesn't supervise. I was going to book 8nights, but changed the hotel was the right decision I made. Two blocks away from Shoreline ,great location, twice larger room, plus breakfast and shuttle to the Ala Moana, free Wi-Fi, free movie and Four nights charges half price of shoreline.
Location is great.
No gym on site and the air conditioner is noisy so it can affect your sleep.
Considering the cost compared to other hotels this place is nice and affordable. It's super convenient, clean and staff are friendly. I'd stay again!
The balcony only had one chair. We really didn't use it because we were always on the go. The traffic to get to the hotel was also nightmarish.
The hotel is located in a nice shopping district about 5-10 minutes from the beach. it was considerably cheaper than the on the beach property's we looked at. Honestly the Wakiki beach is super crowded and we only spent a few minutes there. We choose to rent a car and drive to other, less populated areas. Parking at the hotel is pricy - $26/day valet plus tips. But the cost was very average. If you want to park yourself there are several garages that charge $24 a day. The complimentary coffee in the lobby was strong and good and there was free cucumber water and pineapple tea. The room was small and clean and perfect for what we were using it for.
Not sure if I would rank it as a four star. Did not like the view from rooms , as older buildings in medium condition.
The staff were helpful, for the price paid the location was very good, not oceanfront but close. Good shopping around.
the staff were fantastic and very helpful. the hotel is around a ten minute walk from the beach and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby
We were upgraded to a Junior Suite which was a great room. Great location, minutes from the beach, shops and restaurants. Free WiFi. Free iced tea, cucumber water and coffee in the lobby.
The hotel does not look like the pictures. It is a slap of paint on a 1960's hotel. Air Con was so loud and blew directly onto the bed. Wifi was non existent in my room 323. Such a shame as it has put me off booking any Joie de Vivre hotels in case they are the same.
The staff were very helpful even when checking in late. Free water and coffee etc in the lobby was nice and 10% discount at Heavenly for breakfast.
Attentive staff and helpful especially Mona. City center location.
Nothing at all.
Room pretty good - would liked to have had a higher level in the building. Short walk to most things - beach, food, shopping. Lots of trolleys to take you sightseeing or to a specific location.
The room I was given as an 'updgrade'. Turns out it was a bit larger than their other rooms - apparently - but lousy location on second floor next to elevator and looking out onto busy street and directly above hotel lobby entrance so very noise and too much light all night.
Generally clean, only some hairs in the toilet and the bath tub is a bit blocked. Shampoo and conditioner are provided, but no shower gel only with a bar of soap.
The hotel is located in the city centre, extremely convenient with shops surrounded by, only 5 mins from Waikiki beach
Room was tiny and dark. No space. Had a microwave but no cutlery or plates. Only 2 coffee pods for the whole week long stay.
Location is great. Convenient to everything. Bed was soo comfortable. Staff were great, friendly and helpful.
Loved the refressing drinks available in the lobby, the location of the hotel is fantastic and staff was very friendly too, although I had to leave early morning at 4am and the stuff there was not very helpful, but the ones at regular times are very nice.
rooms was a little small and the view was mediocore.
staff was great, convient location for both shopping and getting to the beach.
only provide 2 small bottle of water per stay , even we stay 5 nite.
Room - Little tiny vs expectations. Once luggage is factored in little inconvenient. Bed - OK at best.
Staff - super helpful people. It's them who make this simple hotel a pleasure to stay at. Location - Very close to Waikiki beach.
No bad experience at all!
All personnel that worked there were friendly and helpful. Anything you asked would be done as soon as it could. The room I had was great, could see the sea and was kept throughout my stay. The best thing thing is the location, minutes walk to the beach and you pay half the price than you would staying on the Main Strip.
Value for money
Busy road outside.
The location is close to all Waikiki has to offer.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel had a nice calm ambience. We spent much more on another Waikiki hotel earlier in our holiday but this hotel was far better value for money.
