Location 1.enjyoed gamble play 2. amusement park. 3. board walking.
We complained these three problem, but hotel stuff did not care. Just smiled and they said repair guy will come soon. But none came. ・Room phone did not work. ・Bad smell in the bathtub. ・could not hold hot water in the bathtub.
They did not have express check in for the disabled.
One of thd staff at the check in was very rude.
The room was nice and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The beach wasn't too crowded outside the hotel. There are a couple of good food options in and close to the hotel.
The room smelled like cigarettes and we had requested a nonsmoking room. The wait for room service on a Friday morning was over an hour. With an 11am checkout, it just wasn't possible to eat from room service.
The service very good
the mardi gras buffet the staff was upbeat and professional despite imminent closing.
the fact that its closing....too bad!
Great value for money and really clean ....
i like the house of blues. The rooms were always clean. Love the location. Love that it was the only place to bring my small doggy. Music was always great there.
that they stopped alot of the fun n werent able to get bigger venues. But over all i loved it there.
Value, nice bathroom, location
No convenient way out to boardwalk. Long way walking to and from room from elevators - time consuming just to get around, especially traveling with older parent. Got locked out of 1 of 2 rooms at one point requiring locksmith and room change
I loved the fitness center
Our room was okay, comfy beds but sorta dirty.Found things behind the night stand that must of belonged to the last people. Rugs were dirty and the hallways were a disgrace. The sweeper was never run in the hallways. The machines did not work properly. Buttons stuck and payout tickets got stuck and we had a 20 min wait to collect our payout ticket.
Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was remodeled .
Room was old. The walls very thin heard everything . Has noisy people in the next room. Didn't sleep all night. Doors slamming. Loud
due to the closing of the hotel things were not very nice halls were dirty , casino machines were not paying off, not much staff around
access to Boardwalk
Showboat has seen better days. The lines for check out was very long. The keys to the room didn't work and U can smell smoke everywhere inside the Casino. The room they give us which we pay almost $200 for the night was next to the pool and all night we couldn't sleep there was the sound of the motor or exhaust pipe from the pool. It was awful. They didn't even give us an upgrade when we asked to be moved.
The room we was placed in
OLD & MOLDY BATHROOM FRIDGE DEFECTIVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
When I first got there the pool was small and over run with kids. My desk chairman cum on the seat. And My bed never got made or fresh sheets and towels. I rate this place a 3
Check-in was quick. When I asked if there was something going on in the hotel because it was so busy and crowded, the guy at the desk said there was a Jazz concert going on and to check with the other desk. When I did, the woman gave us complimentary tickets which was very nice.
Stayed at the Showboat before. This time no comforters on the beds, telephone in our room dead with no plate, one of the bathroom lights were out. I had to find a maid in the hallway who allowed me to use a telephone in another room to call room service. The person who answered was rude and rushed me off of the phone saying he could only send up 1 blanket when it was 2 beds and each one needed it's own. I paid $ 300.00 for this room. I would rather have paid the $ 300. 00 at the hotel next door. At least I would have had excellent accommodations.
Hi It was the worst ever experience at showboat The give as the far room in all hotel to get to our room we have to walk all the hotel and at the end of hall The charge us for everything extra not mentioned in reservation The alarm clock in our room was on at 2 am every day I am not happy about our steady at this hotel
Clean, quiet room, a step higher from motels' rooms. Close to the beach.
Room just step higher than motels'. Terrible buffet.
Carpets were not vacuumed, bathtub not clean, tub did not drain, hotel had an awful smell
Nice employees who are getting fired.
I heard guest talking and basically the show boat has many offers of buyouts but is closing at the end of August. The people who work at the showboat think it's because the union pay out. If they close atleast for a year, they do not have to pay for staff that has been with them since they started out. Also the casino smells like smoke. It's hard to walk through since most corporate offices don't allow smoking. It's a way to revamp employee services. Now with Obama-nocare they do not have to pay employees really anything. Thanks unions - you burnt yourselves. Oh well look for new ownership next year with same loyal employees. Just foreign employees that are paid very little and no benefits to work there.
Convenience of being close to boardwalk
The staff was rude. Did not get the room that I booked. I asked for Non smoking and even confirmed the day prior to arriving and they said I would have a non smoking room. I was to have two queen beds because it was myself and my daughter traveling and I got a smoking room with a king size bed. They booked my room to other people arriving wanting a room and pushed me who had a resevation days in advance to a smoking room. I was extremely upset about this. The tub was also clogged. Cards quit working to room and elevators and so did rewards card. Ice machin on our floor (5) didn't work the entire stay and I we never could acces the pool with our cards. Could not access to park my own car when I arrived. Was a hassle to always wait for valet service. Could not get luggage pick up to my room the day I went home. Kept calling and the phone just kept ringing. Went to the front desk and they told me I had to call which I said I already did. She dialed the number and again all it did was ring and ring. Tub was clogged when I got there.
I hate smoking area inside hotel
It was a very decent place , Nice location Good Casino floor lots of games to play for the price i like it
rooms a bit out dated stains on the carpet
I enjoyed my stay at Showboat. We traveled as a group of girlfriends. Great staff, nice room, very clean. No problems.
A little far from the center of the boardwalk.
