The long walk from the elevator to the boardwalk. The walk is extremely too long. You have to walk the long lobby hallway.
I liked the hospitality of the staff, also I liked the outdoor pool.
We complained these three problem, but hotel stuff did not care. Just smiled and they said repair guy will come soon. But none came. ・Room phone did not work. ・Bad smell in the bathtub. ・could not hold hot water in the bathtub.
Location 1.enjyoed gamble play 2. amusement park. 3. board walking.
One of thd staff at the check in was very rude.
They did not have express check in for the disabled.
The room smelled like cigarettes and we had requested a nonsmoking room. The wait for room service on a Friday morning was over an hour. With an 11am checkout, it just wasn't possible to eat from room service.
The room was nice and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The beach wasn't too crowded outside the hotel. There are a couple of good food options in and close to the hotel.
The service very good
Could have done with a little updating. It is closing today so this review is pointless! Shame. Hope the staff can find other jobs.
The location was great. Right next to the beach and boardwalk. Staff friendly and helpful. Large rooms with great bathroom facilities and clean. Very good value for money
the fact that its closing....too bad!
the mardi gras buffet the staff was upbeat and professional despite imminent closing.
Great value for money and really clean ....
Pool closed at 6, very small and cloudy water not clean, opens at 10 am too late.
Close to boardwalk
that they stopped alot of the fun n werent able to get bigger venues. But over all i loved it there.
i like the house of blues. The rooms were always clean. Love the location. Love that it was the only place to bring my small doggy. Music was always great there.
Since the Showboat is closing I spent 1000.00 on a 4 day 3 night stay no break given. Staff held blankets, towels hostage. Hotel nickel dimed everything from parking to vending machines that took ur money.
My dogs were allowed to come on trip.
No convenient way out to boardwalk. Long way walking to and from room from elevators - time consuming just to get around, especially traveling with older parent. Got locked out of 1 of 2 rooms at one point requiring locksmith and room change
Value, nice bathroom, location
I guess since they're closing next weekend some staff members don't care to work although the room was comfortable, one outlet didn't work, for what I paid could've been nice if breakfast was at least thrown in. I booked there only because of the Neyo concert at House of Blues which was great! Staying there was convenient but I should've gotten a better deal.
Our room was okay, comfy beds but sorta dirty.Found things behind the night stand that must of belonged to the last people. Rugs were dirty and the hallways were a disgrace. The sweeper was never run in the hallways. The machines did not work properly. Buttons stuck and payout tickets got stuck and we had a 20 min wait to collect our payout ticket.
I loved the fitness center
Room was old. The walls very thin heard everything . Has noisy people in the next room. Didn't sleep all night. Doors slamming. Loud
Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was remodeled .
due to the closing of the hotel things were not very nice halls were dirty , casino machines were not paying off, not much staff around
access to Boardwalk
The room we was placed in
Showboat has seen better days. The lines for check out was very long. The keys to the room didn't work and U can smell smoke everywhere inside the Casino. The room they give us which we pay almost $200 for the night was next to the pool and all night we couldn't sleep there was the sound of the motor or exhaust pipe from the pool. It was awful. They didn't even give us an upgrade when we asked to be moved.
OLD & MOLDY BATHROOM FRIDGE DEFECTIVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
When I first got there the pool was small and over run with kids. My desk chairman cum on the seat. And My bed never got made or fresh sheets and towels. I rate this place a 3
Stayed at the Showboat before. This time no comforters on the beds, telephone in our room dead with no plate, one of the bathroom lights were out. I had to find a maid in the hallway who allowed me to use a telephone in another room to call room service. The person who answered was rude and rushed me off of the phone saying he could only send up 1 blanket when it was 2 beds and each one needed it's own. I paid $ 300.00 for this room. I would rather have paid the $ 300. 00 at the hotel next door. At least I would have had excellent accommodations.
Check-in was quick. When I asked if there was something going on in the hotel because it was so busy and crowded, the guy at the desk said there was a Jazz concert going on and to check with the other desk. When I did, the woman gave us complimentary tickets which was very nice.
Hi It was the worst ever experience at showboat The give as the far room in all hotel to get to our room we have to walk all the hotel and at the end of hall The charge us for everything extra not mentioned in reservation The alarm clock in our room was on at 2 am every day I am not happy about our steady at this hotel
Room just step higher than motels'. Terrible buffet.
Clean, quiet room, a step higher from motels' rooms. Close to the beach.
Carpets were not vacuumed, bathtub not clean, tub did not drain, hotel had an awful smell
