Score from 172 reviews Wonderful
It was clean, great location, right on the beach, good breakfast selection. Easy beach access. Rooms were roomy and clean.
Could hear a lot of noise early in the am (around 6am)
Staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.
Staff was nice. View was excellent.
The price, breakfast, location
Room was very hot when we got there & came back from outings, sliding door did not have a screen so when opened to cool off room we had bugs coming in. Bathroom walls were dirty, may need a fresh coat of paint. Mattress box spring had undesirable visible stains running down the side. Wheels on the chair at the table kept coming out.
NO BALCONEY IN OUR ROOM
4th floor to and from
view from room location on beach location close to Restaurant ample parking ease of checkin and again, location on the beach
need a protein choice for free breakfast but they did have oatmeal
The location and the room were great and the view of the bay awesome. And so close to the water and restaurants near by.
They advertise dvd players and a hot tub spa- no dvd player in our room and the spa was broken. And it would've been nice if there was a screen door on the deck.
I liked the staff and the fact that the lodge is on the beach.
The town itself is a bit tacky and run down
The location on the bay was ideal.
The bed was too firm which made for an uncomfortable sleep.
Warm and Friendly staff it was our anniversary/ birthday staff remember this and recognized it. Great location, view, sea life seals swimming eatting fish. Private beach there was bonfire at night and fireworks. Could see ocean from distance .
Jacuzzi was cold ,& not very full . Alerted staff went back second day it was even colder had jump in hot shower to warm up. 1floor bathroom need functional towels notified staff( I guess battery was out) I could see towels but had wipe hands on clothes both days used. Bfast is very basic as advertise milk juice , oatmeal cereal, bagels. Parking difficult especially if you have a large car.
VIEW and mattresses in the rooms were nice and firm. Nice to have a hot tub in the hotel. Proximity to restaurants. Staff tried very hard to find us a balcony, but we reserved too late.
Breakfast had no protein. Boiled eggs would have been helpful. Staff often vanished so it was hard to get questions answered. Toilet overflowed in the middle of the night, so that was sort of an unpleasant awakening.
Location and personnel
the view and availability of the shore and that the kids could play in the bay water without too much danger, the seals are awesome!
The breakfast could use more protein foods, eggs, bacon, sausage etc.
The location and the staff..
Great beach location for families with restaurant and grocery store close by. Friendly staff. Our room had deck which was perfect to relax.
would prefer option of full kitchen; screen door on patio was broken; note that all rooms do not have decks.
Location was excellent. Mo's a great restaurant was right next door. Was on beach. Close to outlet mall and other activities.
Access to beach very close. View wonderful. Staff very friendly, and helpful.
lack of fresh fruit and other options for breakfast.
The management was very pleasant and easy to work with. We were not able to check in early, however we did get to get all paper work out of the way and obtain keys for a normal check in. The room was very well cared for and looked very appealing to the eye. The breakfast was adequate and we made use of it. The spa looked nice but did not use, this trip. Yes would definitely come back. Balcony room was not available but we still have a very nice view of the bay. We did have a noisy group outside one night BUT that is not the Lodges fault. We just closed the window and were able to drift back to sleep.
Supposedly we were supposed to have a movie channel- WELL - that didn't happen for either night supposedly the Satellite was down (?) Fortunately I had my laptop with Netflix and a HDMI cable with me so we were okay maybe even better :) It would be nice if there was fresh fruit and or eggs with the breakfast but hey it was free and neither of us went hungry :)
The hotel was right on the beach so it was nice with children and had an excellent view
The staff smoked constantly and everything smelled of smoke. I have asthma so I was very difficult. The breakfast was very poor, no fruit or anything fresh and very thing was so cheap it was disgusting. The room was dirty, sink was plugged up and the wheels fell of the chairs. The bathroom also had a very loud, whining fan and smelled horrible.
Location price excellent view staff
Room, facilities, and location was excellent.
Breakfast compared to other hotels was pretty sub par.
Located right on the bay, nice beach access with opening windows and driftwood for fires.
The "breakfast" they offer is very limited. Would like to see yogurt, fresh fruit & maybe hard boiled eggs / toast, jam and peanut butter. All we had was 3 types of cereal, milk, coffee, muffins, bagels, waffles.
The view from the 4th floor and location
The breakfast is ehhh. Went out for breakfast instead.
I liked everything. The view, clean rooms, soft towels and sheets and location. Not to mention the Roadhouse brew restaurant 3 blocks north on 101. Best blackberry beer I ever had.
I had to go back home.
