Score from 273 reviews Very good
Friendly and accommodating staff; very comfortable and clean room. There are not a lot of accommodations in the Northwest District, but if you have a car, this is a good place to stay
Garbage truck and other alley traffic in the early am. Not as close as I would have liked to public transportation
Quiet and very comfy
This shows exactly how a hotel should be run. The staff is awesome, rooms are perfect, just the whole feel of the place. What a great location as well! I really can't say anything bad about this place, top notch, can't wait to return to Portland, and this is where I'll go every time.
Clean comfortably large room Convenient free parking excellent breakfast tho our view lousy the location was safe and walkable to a nice variety of cafes and shops
checked in at 3:00PM (and were the only check-ins!) The 3 front desk employees (2 male, 1 female) were not the least bit welcoming. We thought the place was overpriced at over 225.00 per night.
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Local shuttle available. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance.
My sister and I enjoyed staying here. Far enough from downtown to be reasonably priced; within walking distance of the famous and eclectic 23rd Street shopping district; bus-stop right on the corner and this city has a wonderful public transportation system. It's a very quiet building--didn't hear slamming doors, loud TV's or talking in the night.
The breakfast was quite blah but better than nothing. The front desk staff were all a bit on the "stand-offish" side. Felt like we were a bother to them when we asked questions.
Room relatively quiet Room decent size
Single elevator & slow Complementary breakfast not that great Overall just average
Extremely nice and comfortable rooms, beds and furnishings; extremely helpful staff; very nice breakfast. Nice trendy area with lots of restaurants and shops just a few blocks away.
Breakfast room somewhat cramped (sometimes had to wait a few minutes for a table).
location was great, easy walk to many great restaurants and shopping. Front desk staff was very helpful in making recommendations
furnishings were a bit outdated for the price
Clean, comfortable room within walking distance to restaurants and close enough to downtown. Good value considering the price of downtown hotels.
Noise level but I don't know if anything could have been done about it. Guests above us must have had an argument. Could hear constant pacing and slamming of doors from about 10 pm to 3 am in the morning. Slept extremely well the first night and probably would have given a higher rating if not for the second night.
The staff was very helpful freindly and nice they did what we want
It is very close to the best restaurant in Portland (Noisette). Also very convienient to freeway access.
Noisette is closing soon.
Location was awesome - walking distance from great restaurants
Quite expensive for the simple place it is. However, it may be specific to an area rather than this hotel in particular
We were traveling with 2 grandchildren, good stop, good location, good parking, suited our needs perfectly
Comfort and decor of rooms; breakfast; helpful, knowledgeable staff.
We have stayed here before and like the location.
Our king bed was not so great - it might be time to do some bed upgrades. The mattresses gave every time one of us moved.
Large room, free strong wi fi service. Nice kitchen staff (Annie).
Reception staff not too friendly. No porter or bell service.
We enjoyed our stay. The desk staff was helpful and cheerful. The breakfast staff worked hard to keep up with breakfast needs and keep everyone happy. The room was comfortable and clean. I liked the location because it was not in the middle of town but was within walking distance of shops restraints and transportation.
Mike was very friendly and helpful and gave us great recommendations for places to have dinner. Location: i liked the area (nw 23rd), and the neighborhood. Free parking in a parking lot. Great hotel to visit Portland by car. Would definitely come again.
Great location by the Nob Hill restaurant district. Large rooms, great beds, very clean..everything was excellent.
Location is excellent. Tons of restaurants, bistros, cafes are closeby. For motorists it's a breeze to get to places in and out of town - due to the nearby I-5 / I-405 ramp. Free parking, breakfast and Internet are a big PLUS.
Not a thing!
Location, & friendly, helpful staff
A perfect location for seeing the sights and excellent public transportation.
Location to NW 23rd area was perfect. Walked to great shops and restaurants. Free parking and quiet location. Lobby locked after 10pm for extra security with front desk buzz-in. Room has fridge, microwave and all other standard ammenities. Complementary breakfast (average but free).
Bed was very firm and not comfortable (although that can be subjective).
The room and the service was great. Easy to find for an out of towner.
The surrounding neighborhood was a bit too industrial.
