If you're going to be in Santa Fe, the Silver Saddle is a must! Loads of charm, super clean, very friendly, and the Jackalope Furniture store next door is the coolest!
Nothing. It was perfect.
Bunkhouse chic. Comfortable room. Quiet. Good location. Wonderful staff. Okay breakfast. Problem with new heater during night. Let them know upon check-out and received a significant discount without asking for it.
The staff were excellent, lots of good advice. Where there is so much choice this themed offering was quaint and interesting. Spotlessly clean, good wifi connection.
There was nothing to dislike, the location was good for access to Santa Fe using public transport.
The owner, her enthusiasm, her friendliness, the theme of the motel ....... just everything
we liked the whole picture. Even the three tables (in the reception area) for breakfast. Definitely not enough tables, but she also had an outside patio ....... because of the receptionist's enthusiasm I would even stand to eat breakfast, just to stay and listen to her stories :-)
Wonderful staff, charming decor, lovely complementary breakfast.
Great place with excellent personal rapport from staff and owner.
Small but super clean and all you need in a motel room plus the price was right. Would definitely stay there again.
Shower was very small but worked fine.
Quirky and old fashioned, but excellent value and friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent quirky 1960s motel but with good facilities, very clean, staff and location all good.
Comfy bed, friendly and welcoming staff, quiet, great value
It's not real close to downtown, but it's very easy to get there
Motel, staff, location, staff assistance (there information made my trip awesome on where to go.)
Towels need fabic softener.
The Route 66 hey-day is alive and kickin it! Great service from the owner made our one night stop very memorable. We loved the cleanliness of this place and the beautiful gardens and courtyard were lovely to have our morning coffee before heading out.
The brevity of our stay! Next time, at least 2-3 nights!
Liked the decor (old Route 66/western/cowboy). Liked that the continental breakfast included healthier options like boiled eggs and fresh fruit.
Parking could have been better - don't really know how, but a few more spaces would help!
Room was quite clean.
Building is very old and rooms are extremely small, beds are small and uncomfortable.
Location, Old Route 66 Charm, comfortable bed, interesting furnishings.
Music playing late at night. We checked in later in the evening and there was a sign on the door to call and they would come to the office. I don't own a cell phone and I am sure there are others who do not. Should be an alternative to this option to get help.
The decor, the people, the charming atmosphere, the chilies roasting next door.
After spending two nights at a somewhat run down interstate-side motel, I arrived in Santa Fe to the Silver Saddle. I loved the location - close to all the chain stores and restaurants - and the well-cared for grounds. The office area is small but pleasant and the people I encountered were personable without being intrusive. The rooms were basic but well-appointed and I felt very comfortable there. The morning continental breakfast was mostly breads and spreads with a smattering of other items, but it was adequate for getting you on with your day. You could eat at a few tables in the office area, out on a private patio, or on your room. If you're a smoker, their smoking area is like a garden setting full of flowers with some tables - very cute and thoughtful. I can't see why for $52+tax anyone would be unhappy with this location.
Nothing really. Small continental breakfast (which is why it's named that) and smallish room though perfect for me as a solo traveler.
The staff was great. Super location. Very clean and very nice continental breakfast for such a great price!
Wi-Fi was a bit slow.
This place had a lot of character, with an amazing decor. It must have taken them years to accumulate so many southwestern country icons seen throughout the building. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was good and you could eat it on the patio (also with lots of decor to entertain you). The WiFi worked well. While the motel is obviously older, the bathrooms have been updated. well. All in all, while one should not expect luxury at this very reasonable price, it is a very good value for the money.
The rooms near the busy road could be noisy, so ask for a rear location. It is about four miles from the Santa Fe Plaza so a little far, not a quick trip due to the many stoplights.(For someone from the east coast, the traffic in Santa Fe is a piece of cake.)
Great ambience, great value.
That we only had one night in town.
Clean, close to car for easy access. Comfortable.
Rooms are small, but typical for the time era of motels.
The hotel was CLOSED when we got into town and were unable to check in even though we let them know we would be getting there late.
Nostalgic, this place just made you feel comfortable and almost like you stepped into a time capsule and should have been part of a movie.
The management & front desk staff were very knowledgeable & helpful. The wifi system was password protected & worked very well. The breakfast area outside was great! Management provided a great experience.
The rooms could stand some refurbishing; however, The Silver Saddle provides a great 5?star experience staying with them which is great!
Loved the homey atmosphere and friendly owner.
