Location, Spaciousness, Room decor, comfort of the rooms and the beds
Nothing to dislike. I'd stay there again - in fact, I'm planning in it.
I stayed in the carriage house, my room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. It was extremely quiet, and the room and bath were immaculate. Pam, the innkeeper, was very welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. Highly recommend this B&B.
There were no negatives, would definitely stay here again.
Friendly staff-very good cont. b-fast.
housekeeping didn't have key for room a couple of lights burned out
Milieu was perfect
The inn keeper Pam made the visit a joy. She was funny and friendly and made us feel at home
Some of the restaurant staff were complaining in front of guests
friendly and comfortable.
The beds were horrible. Need new beds. The tv should be mounted over the fireplace . A couple cant watch tv without a bed post in the middle of the screen. The living room furniture is dingy
Staff was very helpful to help with accommodations for partially disabled wife.
Lost hot water and heat in the carriage house and had to move to main house. This was just a coincidence and the situation was handled professionally. Included a discount for the night.
Pam is a most delightful innkeeper. Her warmth and welcome is a highlight.

Simsbury 1820 House is beautifully furnished and maintained. It's not far from the Hartford international airport and in close proximity to art museums and attractions.
The Manager, Pam, is great!
Amazing building, oldfashioned but excellent beds, spacious room, nice breakfast buffet.
Our room had very tight quarters. Wish it had a coffee maker. But many thanks for having an egg with breakfast!
Lovely New England home, now a hotel. Great continental breakfast. The town was lovely. Neat bike path.
Room was small. No chairs in the room.
comfy bed surprisingly luxurious inn for the rate I paid excellent quality complementary breakfast with fresh baked goods and Greek yogurt.
A wonderful romantic room. Windows on 3 sides. 4 poster canopy bed. Beautiful scenery. Perfect retreat for lovers. Early American New England charm. Soft colors. Everything clean & in working order. Very accommodating staff.
A totally romantic space like this deserves a bathtub for two. The only negative of the entire experience was that we had to leave.
Everything ... from the staff to the comfort of the room to the breakfast the next morning.
Nothing ... would have liked to stay longer.
The peace and quiet of the rooms. The old fashioned charm. The quality of the bed - firm but not hard. Extra seating in the room as well as around the rest of the building.
The feather pillows - that's just me. No frig or microwave, but that would ruin the old fashioned charm.
The room was amazing. Cozy, comfortable, quaint, and the bed itself was featherbed heaven. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
I was working in Hartford for the week and I didn't want to stay in the town. I came across Simsbury house and found the perfect stop. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, breakfast is great and the rooms are comfortable. It is about a 30 minutes drive from Hartford, so it is well worth taking the time to drive out to the hotel every evening to relax. In the evening you can eat in the hotel restaurant, or there are a few restaurants which are walking distance where you can eat pizza and have a few locally brewed beers.
Having to leave after 4 nights.
Location, staff, room and breakfast above the expectation
Air conditioned a little bit noisy
Walking distance to Simsbury town center and concert performance by the Hartford Symphony summer series.
That we didn't have more time to spend there.
The ambiance and the staff.
Lack of grab rails in shower.
Carriage house Room was nicely appointed. Bedding was comfortable. Nice continental breakfast.
Inn Keeper's hospitality
Chipped paint; worn stair carpet!
