Great location, good wireless, comfortable chair / desk area Smell of breakfast very early, windows would not close properly, very expensive mini-bar, environments were slightly worn, could not find a good area to work in common spaces

Great location Nice staff Awesome views from the Starlight Lounge up top at night! Bathroom was smaller than you think possible. Kept knocking off the toilet tissue holder while sitting on the toilet and we're fairly skinny :-) No continental breakfast but that's true of all hotels in this area AFAIK.

The location is exceptional for shopping, airport accessibility via BART, and proximity to the conference centre. The lobby is very well appointed, and staff are helpful. The hotel itself is a historic building, and the rooms may be small for the tastes of some. Business wifi was less than reliable, and suffered a security lapse during my stay, but Kimpton staff were able to rectify it fairly quickly.

We loved the historic feel of the hotel. It was very well renovatedand well maintained. The staff are friendly and very curteous, especially the period dressed doormen. We will definitely stay there again if we are ever in San Francisco.

Staff was excellent. Decor and building was nice and relaxing. Bath products were exceptional. Loved the "green" incentive... Discount at the restaurant for house keeping deferral. Bathroom in hotel room was way too small. My husband is 6.3 so everything about it was difficult given its super small size. Did not like paying a cover charge for the starlight room seeing how we were guests of the hotel.

Greatest location in San Francisco. Very over priced for the type of accommodation. A small room with a king size bed and tiny tiny bathroom with no place to put anything. The room was horribly hot and it never quite got cool enough in the afternoon & lots of noise - the rooms are paper thin. We were up all night due to some late night partyers who got back to the room at 2:30 am and stayed awake until 4:20 am. Also, not enough hangers in the closet. We had better accomodations at the Comfort Inn. You had us waive the hosekeeping for a paltry 10.00 voucher and your horribly tasting breakfast cost $18 - what a rip off and your parking price is totally insane - right around the corner I can park for $29.00 with unlimited in/out and if I knew that I would not have used your valet service. My car was damaged but they deny it and I can't prove it but I was not happy. No one advised us there was free coffee in the lobby - we were disappointed you did not even have a coffee machine but we really were annoyed on our check out date to see that there was coffee available and we had done without for 2 days. None of your employees seem to care about anyone - typical cold city attitude.

Location Shower, water went everywhere because I think we had an accessible shower therefore no ledge to stop water from running outside the shower, shower curtain didn't help, and only 2 towels for 2 guests so no extra towels to soak up excess water. Elevators really old and slow, I'm very surprised I didn't get stuck in one.

Location was ideal, staff very helpful, they get a 10 for responsiveness, good value. Street noise. On 8th floor and could not seal out street noise due to age and condition of windows. Had to buy ear plugs in order to sleep.

The /bathrooms were clean and nice. The bedrooms were well appointed. Street noise was loud. I changed rooms and the second room was a connecting room, via a door, to the next room. It was extremely noisy. I could hear every word from the guest, and their kids, next door. The car attendant one night was extremely rude and had a chip on his shoulder. Every morning it took the Valet 20-30 min to get the car. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

I liked the downtown location the most. Transportation and access to and from other areas of the city. Hotel rate was very high compared with facilities. This may be true with nearby hotels.

The rooms were spacious and reasonably priced. The location is great to Union Square. We had people partying in the adjacent room till 5 in the morning. We did call and complain. Also, the bell hop couldn't locate some of our bags they had retrieved from our car in valet parking. Apparently they were stashed behind front desk and that was not conveyed amongst employees. Caused us a good time delay!

The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and proffesional. The hotel is beautiful. The bar in the lobby is great and the bartenders make the most amazing cocktails. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and will stay here again.
