The vibe in the Scala at the entrance
They didn't have women's ítems in the bathroom (shower cap, make-up wipes etc)
It was a perfect location, right on Union square.
Rooms were super small. The hotel itself is pretty old and rooms need refurbishment. Staff is ok but definitely not 5* service. This kind of hotel in Europe would be rated max 4*
Too many tourists that week
Centrally located, lovely restaurant.
Small room don't expect much amenities unless pay for them. Noisy lobby which is a bar that everyone comes and stay and make nosies. Aged carpet needs cleaning.
loved the informative staff and the wine tasting in the early evening
the costs of alcoholic beverages far too expensive
From friendly front desk staff to hostess in Scalas restaurant, the consistency at this grand hotel is wonderful
Even us locals could use another night playing here at the St.Francis
Great location, friendly staff, happy hour, bar, club on top level, complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings . Conveniently located within walking distance of everything.
Room was a bit on the small side but it was still cozy and nice. Also could hear people's conversations in neighboring rooms.
Excellent staff in the hotel, from the sidewalk welcome, through check-in and many returns to the bar, all professional.
Constantly changing prices at the bar.
Hotel needs to be upgraded. Small rooms. Breakfast is very expensive and poor quality
Very central location.
Awfully noisy room due to technical issues with the equipment. They were aware of this, tried to fix it after a few calls but the situation get worse and worse. Never again.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the hotel sent Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room! Nice Touch!! The View from our room, was Excellent!!
The room temperature, you were not able to control
Good location and service
Having to relocate because hotel was changing- out rugs
Can't beat this location in Union square Room service food was really good- breakfast
The windows don't open-no window at all in bathroom or fan
Staff was very attentive and more than anticipated our needs
Pillows were horrible
Yoga mat in the room! Lovely decor
No free wifi.
Lied the concierge was excellent, nothing to much trouble.
Room too small, overpriced for that small of a room. May have been due to going thru a booking service, rather than negotiating with hotel or staying at a different hotel in Union Sq. Area. H D Samuels
We had a great view
Although, we had a great view but we were on the 20th floor and the noise from the club was too much.
Smell in floor and and also painting/construction going on
The bar area was amazing and the bartenders were top notch professionals.
The room was a bit small, but that's normal for older hotels in the area.
A bit small room, outdated facilities
great staff, observed them dealing with rude people very professionally love the bar area
no operable windows no fan in bathroom like the décor style but a bit "tired", inside the bathroom in particular
Staff was friendly.
A fire alarm went off at 1:30 am in the stairwell adjacent to our room. The staff did not know what was going on but said it was a false alarm once we got dressed and went downstairs.
Concierge very helpfull in the choice of restaurants and other entertainment.
Our room had a musty smell. We were quickly redirected to another which was much better.
