Although the motel was located right in the middle of the Orleans busiest areas, and right across the very busy Rt.6 and 6a intersecting areas, we were NOT able or inclined to walk anywhere, we had to take our car everywhere, even if we went to the Hearth and Kettle for breakfast....it was way too busy at that intersection to even try once! And, we felt that if first impressions count then our first impression of the motels' office and small breakfast area would have sent us packing; we entered the office for checkin at a little before 2pm, on a Thursday.....there were still remnants of breakfast crumbs and dirty table tops/ the whole area might be a much more enticing spot if they redo the woodwork, which is very scratched, and dark and the rest of the area didn't look anywhere as cute or clean as the view on their website. The swimming pool wasn't really useable, although it was open and had chairs and lounges set out, the lounges weren't really in good condition, and the pool did NOT have it's filters going, and it could have used it, many dead insects were floating there. Because of the appearance of the breakfast room we didn't partake of the feer continental breakfast, hubby did get coffee a few times...but we drove to other areas for our food.
Loved the room and bathroom, they seemed to have been remodeled recently, although NOT by a professional carpenter/plumber. Yet they made the entire room very comfy and easy to use. Even had a note on the TV stand/dresser that asked guests to be quiet after 10:30pm til 7 a.m., and it was! Our room was always made up and clean towels, etc. were all fluffy and fresh. We were even able to leave the bathroom window open most nights, because it was up high and only one of those side open and close things, but it let air in and keep us feeling secure.
